Story
Hi there! I'm Kai, an AKC registered Sheltie. 🐾 I'm a fluffy ball of energy with a big heart and an even bigger love for my family. Though I may be a bit shy around new people, once I get to know you, I’m your loyal companion for life. It just takes me a little time to warm up—after all, I’m very particular about my friends! My days are filled with fun adventures, whether it’s herding my humans around the house, chasing after squeaky toys, or going on long walks where I can show off my prancing trot. I’m happiest when I have a job to do, so I’m looking for a home where I can put my skills to good use. When I'm not on duty, you'll find me snuggled up in my favorite spot, keeping an eye on everything (especially snacks). I love belly rubs and ear scratches, and I’m always eager to learn new tricks. But the best part of my day? Being with my people. I might be a little nervous at first, but once I feel safe, I’m all in, ready to be with you!

Story
Behold Alazay! The furry giant, part mastiff, part bulldog, and all-around massive! Don't let his size fool you, he's a total cuddle bug! He absolutely LOVES kids of all sizes! He's a senior pup, but boy, does he love a good soak in the bath! You'll find him chewing away at rope toys and begging for butt scratches, but his favorite pastime is getting belly rubs. Attention is his thing, and he's not afraid to ask for it. Good for this guy as he needs to be the only pet in the home- more attention for him! He's all about playing and frolicking around, but watch out for his obsession with tennis balls – it's kind of his Achilles heel! A gentle giant, he's the perfect cuddle buddy for your lazy days. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and heartworm negative. Application: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/signup/664c2ea080ba55b07a0e6299

Story
Meet Thor! Thor is a very sweet Staffordshire Terrier that is nicknamed “Potato” by our staff. He was recently returned after being adopted from GHHS last year. If you are not a cat, Thor loves you and wants to be your best friend. He loves tennis balls, fetch and a good booty-scratchin' session! He has a very happy tail that is constantly wagging (and sometimes knocking things off of low tables!). He loves humans of all sizes and gets along with dogs just fine. Because of his size and energy level, we do think he should be in a home with children over the age of 5. Our Thor does have a high prey drive, so we recommend no small critters like cats or rabbits or chickens in the vicinity. We do require a meet & greet if you have another dog. Thor is neutered, microchipped, up to date on all of his vaccinations, and tested negative for heartworm. Story
Meet Sally! Sally is a sweet but nervous hound mix. She was adopted from here as a puppy last year, but was brought back because she was chasing small animals. She is slow to warm up but once she trusts you (and sees if you have yummy treats) she gives great kisses! Sally loves her treats, and she loves toys. She will shred anything with stuffing, and she loves to dig those squeakers out of toys. We only give her toys that don’t have the stuffing in them here at the shelter. She’s starting to walk better on a leash since coming in, and she’s working on learning basic commands like Sit, Stay, and Shake. She’s very smart, but the hound dog in her is stubborn and will only learn what she wants! Sally is dog selective. Some dogs she gets along with, others not, and we don’t know what causes either. If you already have a dog, we would require a meet & greet to see how they get along. Sally is spayed, microchipped, up to date on all of her vaccinations, and tested negative for heartworms.
