Story
THE SWEETEST BABY EVER. Coco is a SMART, BEAUTIFUL and SWEET girl. Coco is a 4yr old Pit. She can be overly excited to new people but will listen to calm down a little. She lovesss to be loved on and cuddled. Although we love her very much, I have grown an allergy to her which breaks my heart to admit. So i need to find her a GOOD and LOVING home. She is house trained, crate trained, knows most basic commands. She comes with a large cage/crate, her bed, her toys, a 13 gallon food container that can roll, her food/water bowl and stand for bowls.

Story
Pips is a young and healthy Cattle Dog / Border Collie mix, 50 lbs weight, with blue heeler coloring. When I rescued him in February of 2023, the vet estimated him at 2 years old, making him 3-4 years old now. He was already neutered when I adopted him, and I have kept him up to date on all his vaccines. He takes one capsule of anxiety medication every morning. He's a sweetheart with all kinds of people, extremely eager to please, loves cuddles and head-butts, and very food motivated for easy training. He has typical high energy for the breed and loves to run. He was skittish and dog-aggressive initially, but has calmed down significantly with dedicated training. He is now mostly only reactive when leash walking, but his high energy and playful nature can sometimes frighten smaller or older dogs. I'd love for him to find a permanent home with lots of yard space or a farm to run around, or an active owner that wants to include him in frequent outdoor activities.

Story
I got Sparky as a birthday gift back in April of 2022 when he was about 4 months old. He is about 3 years old, looking for a very loving family, who has some type of land so he can run around. Also a good size home so he has plenty of space to roam and play. People who have the time and energy to give him attention and the exercise he needs would be ideal. Also someone who is patient and willing to work on house training. He is very protective, gentle, and energetic. He does bark when he sees someone he doesn’t know but will never bite. If I could keep him I would but due to unforeseen circumstances, we are moving and I can’t keep him since he is a very large dog:( hopping whoever keeps him is willing to let me visit often.

Story
We rescued Ozzy. He was alone outside. He is a good dog, very active. Loves being outside. Hasn't shown aggression. He's good with the adults and older kids in the house. He's ok with the smaller kids, just plays rough and it can be too much for them. With some time and training he will be a great dog for someone.

Story
WE MUST TALK ABOUT BRUNO! Bruno is a large lab/hound mixed breed around 75 lbs. He is 3 years old. Bruno was surrendered to a local shelter from a sad situation, but he is ready to put the past behind him and find his forever home. Poor Bruno was the only dog but lived with several cats and came from a hoarding case. He is housebroken, gets along well with dogs, cats, and kids. He loves to explore his new surroundings and thinks everything is his toy. He is doing well leash training and loves to be outside walking or playing. Bruno is a strong guy. He needs a fenced in yard or someone who can handle his strength. He needs a family to allow him to continue training and exercises him regularly. Due to Bruno's past, you would think he would have some trust issues with humans, but he loves everyone he meets instead. He wants to show you how much he loves you by tackling you sometimes without meaning to. He's a big goofball and doesn't know his size. In Bruno's heart, soul, and mind, he identifies as a Shitzu. He is neutered, up to date on vaccines, and heartworm negative. If you're interested in adopting Bruno, please visit our website at hsdavie.org/dogs and complete an adoption application.

Story
Layna's story is both heart-wrenching and inspiring. It's incredible to see the resilience and determination of this brave husky. Layna was found as a stray and ended up at the animal shelter. She was in rough shape with an injured back leg and needed emergency care to see what was going on. An x-ray confirmed she had been shot, and her leg was shattered in three places. After a cast and cage rest, it was determined an amputation was going to give her the best relief of pain and a future of no complications. Thanks to the dedication and care of her foster family and the animal shelter staff, she's on her way to a brighter future. Her sweet and smart personality shines through despite everything she's been through. Layna loves playing with other dogs. She’s a husky and playtime is her favorite thing! She wants to play with cats and they get agitated. Layna is good with older kids who are ok with active dogs. For anyone looking for a loyal and energetic companion, Layna could be the perfect addition to your family. 🐾 You can learn more about her and complete an adoption application by visiting the website: hsdavie.org/dogs Let's spread the word and help Layna find the loving home she deserves! 🌟
