Story
Tucker is a five-year-old, 65-pound adult lab/pitbull mix, full of affection and “good boy” energy. His foster mom has nothing but good things to say about him! He's a quick learner who already knows some basic commands; and he's learned some important skills like leash walking. He loves playing rope-tug or ball- and disc-fetch (well, he’s 98% on “chase” and maybe 80% on “bring it”). He’s completely house- and crate-trained; he often rests in his open crate. Tucker has a gentle and loyal nature; and he's smart, independent, and playful. He loves to be included in the family and sit on the couch with you, but he's also content to make his own bed and snuggle up with his favorite blankets. If he wants to get closer, he will sit on your arm or chest, butt-first. If he wants to sleep, he will rest his face against your leg or poke his head behind your back. He loves ear rubs and back scritches! If you're looking for a furry friend who will bring laughter and joy into your life, look no further than Tucker. He's an all-around good boy who's just waiting for his forever home. Are you interested in adopting this dog or another JCAPL pet you have seen? Story
JoJo is the sweetest girl who is two years young! She came to our rescue group with a litter of puppies; now they have all been adopted, and it is her turn to find a great forever home. She's energetic, playful, and loves to show her affection. She loves her daily walks; she does a happy dance, rushes to the door, and sits for her leash. She's athletic and enjoys running alongside her human foster brother on his skateboard. She's very well-behaved and listens to commands. She's fully house- and crate-trained. JoJo loves her humans and gets along well with other dogs. She is looking for a forever home where she can be the center of attention and receive all the love she deserves. She is an absolute gem and you will be charmed by her loving nature. She can't wait to meet you and be your best friend! Are you interested in adopting this dog or another JCAPL pet you have seen? Story
Hi there! My name is Mommaccino, and I am a friendly, affectionate, brave, curious, independent, smart, playful and athletic dog. I am also great with children and other dogs! I am an adult, but you would never know it because I have the energy of a puppy and the soul of a wise old dog. I love to play and explore, but I also love to cuddle up with my humans. They're teaching me how to be a good house dog and learn some basic commands. I had a rough time until a Good Samaritan found me with my pup, Pupaccino, and asked JCAPL to help us find furever homes. But that's okay because it has only made me stronger and more appreciative of the good things in life. Now my pup has gone to her new home. If you give me the chance, I promise to be your very best friend and bring you endless amounts of joy. Are you interested in adopting this dog or another JCAPL pet you have seen? Story
Hello! My name is Gucci, and I am an affectionate, playful, and curious dog. I love to run around and explore, and I would make a great companion for anyone who loves the outdoors and going on adventures. I am very athletic, and I love to play with toys indoors and outside. I'm also happy to cuddle up and relax with my foster family while they read, or work, or watch tv. I'm fully house trained, and I sleep in my crate every night. My fosters are teaching me some basic commands. Can you imagine what my life was like before I came to JCAPL? I was used as a breeding dog, and then abandoned by my humans. I can't see out of my left eye, and sometimes children and tall humans startle me; but I like them when I get used to them! Even though I have been through a lot, I still love people and get along with other dogs and even cats. Are you interested in adopting this dog or another JCAPL pet you have seen? Story
Koda is a smart, energetic 9-month-old Aussie pup! He is a good boy at heart and adapts really well to change. He's now in a foster home with 3 other dogs (all over 50lbs) and loves to run and play with them. He really enjoys water, and will not hesitate to jump into the shower with you! . His foster mom is working really hard on his crate training. He may have been left crated and made to use the bathroom in the crate--he did not understand that he should pee or poop on walks. Recently, he has had no accidents in his cage, and has begun using walks as well as reusable pee pads on the back porch. Koda is definitely a work in progress, but he has so much potential. He would do best in a home that understands Aussies, and has the time to keep him active and busy. He’s great around kids and loves to meet new people!
