Whether it's playing fetch or going for a hike, Yukon is up for anything that involves staying active. With his stunning coat and bright eyes, he's sure to turn heads wherever he goes. If you're looking for a companion who can keep up with your lifestyle, Yukon is the perfect match for you! He is fully vetted and house trained and would prefer a home with no cats. Story
Demetrius is a sweet and loving 2-year-old Coonhound mix who currently weighs around 60 pounds. He is fully vetted and ready to find his forever home! He was found as a stray before landing in the comforting arms of the Greater Charlotte SPCA. He's friendly as can be and seeks out attention. He's fully crate trained and house training.  Demetrius is easy going. He likes puzzle toys and independent play along with cuddles on the sofa. He loves to go for long leash walks and is an excellent hiking or jogging companion, too. He enjoys meeting new people and leans on anyone who is willing to spend time with him. He's cute and his forehead wrinkles are the best. Demetrius has done well with other dogs at doggie daycare and in his foster home, but would rather play with dogs his size or bigger and no cats for this handsome one!!  If you are interested in adopting Demetrius  please submit an inquiry directly with Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age. ***Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. Story
Jules is a very loving five-and-a-half-year-old Hound mix, but his fur and tail suggest another breed is in there too, but we are just not sure what! Jules weighs 68 pounds; he is up to date on vaccines and neutered. He certainly wants to be your center of attention! He is house trained, and he doesn’t bother you while sleeping at night. He will wait until you get up to go outside. He is also very smart and already knows how to sit, shake and lie down for a treat. He is very happy to meet new people and trusts new people very quickly. We have found that while Jules is okay around other dogs, he would prefer to be the only dog in the home for his comfort, but he would do well on walks, going to breweries, but not so much at dog parks. He is ready for a long love-life with a loving family he can call his own.  **Some pictures of Jules maybe from when he was around one years old.  If you are interested in adopting Jules, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet’s age.    **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. Story
This beautiful 4-year-old, 60-pound grey Pit Bull Terrier is all about love! Lovey is fully vaccinated, crate and house trained, and is ready to find her special family. Lovey adores her people and would make an amazing companion for anyone looking for a loyal, affectionate dog. With her loving nature, she could easily be a great running or hiking partner, as she has the energy and enthusiasm for outdoor adventures. However, Lovey has made it clear that she prefers to be the Queen of the home—she’s happy to be the only dog and doesn't mind sharing walks with other dogs, but she’d rather not have to share her space at home. Lovey is well-trained and knows commands like “sit,” “stay,” and “place.” She’s obedient, listens well, and is a joy to have around. She’s also perfectly fine being left alone while you're at work—she’ll just hang out and wait for your return, showering you with love when you get home. If you’re looking for a loving, loyal dog who would thrive as the only pet and be your best friend for hikes, runs, or lazy days at home, Lovey might be the perfect fit for you! If you are interested in adopting Lovey, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age. **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. Story
Luna is a 50-pound hound mix with floppy ears, beautiful tri-color markings, and a personality that’s as fun-loving as her tail is wagging! At just a year and a half old, she’s already shown what a fighter she is. Despite recently losing a back leg due to an injury, Luna hasn’t let it slow her down one bit. She still loves to cruise around her foster’s yard, playing and exploring, and she has an infectious enthusiasm for life. Luna is an active dog, but once she’s had her playtime, she turns into a big cuddle bug. She loves to give kisses and be around her humans, soaking up all the love and attention she can get. She currently lives with two cats and doesn’t appear to have any issues with them.  Luna is crate trained, rides well in the car, and walks beautifully on a leash. She’s also making great progress with house training. This sweet girl would be a fantastic addition to a family who enjoys long walks, outdoor adventures, and has the time and love to give her the attention she deserves. If you’re looking for a joyful, resilient, and affectionate companion, Luna might just be the perfect fit for your family. She’s ready to find her forever home—could it be with you? If you are interested in adopting Luna, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age.   **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence. Story
If you're looking for a little dog with a big personality, Bast, a possible Italian Greyhound mix, could be your perfect match! At 2 years old, this adorable pup may be small in size, but he's big on love once he trusts you. Bast came to us from a hoarding situation, so he’s had a tough start in life, but with patience and kindness, he’s blossomed into a sweet and cuddly companion. Bast is crate trained, and house trained, and he loves his crate – it’s his safe space where he can relax and recharge. He’s a quiet, independent little guy who enjoys a good cuddle, but he’s also content to entertain himself in his crate for hours when he needs a break. While he’s still nervous in new situations, once Bast gets to know and trust you, he’ll be your loyal lapdog, always ready for snuggles and affection. Due to his shy personality and needing above average time to get comfortable with new people, Bast does require a fenced in yard and would not be a candidate for apartment type living Bast thrives in a calm, stable environment with another dog to show him the ropes and help him feel safe. He does best in a home with a fenced-in yard, as he needs a secure place to run and play. He’s athletic and active for his size and would make a great running or hiking companion for someone who enjoys outdoor adventures. While Bast is great with the larger dogs in his foster home, he’s not comfortable with young children (under 14) and would prefer a quieter household where he can feel secure. He hasn't been around cats yet, but we suspect he would do fine with them. Bast will take some extra time to warm up to new people, but once you’ve earned his trust, he’ll shower you with love and devotion. If you’re looking for a sweet, little dog who is both independent and affectionate, Bast could be the perfect fit for your home! If you are interested in adopting Bast, please submit an inquiry directly to Greater Charlotte SPCA by visiting charlottespca.org/adopt. The adoption amount is a suggested donation of $200 to $300 dollars based on the pet's age. **Because our rescue is composed entirely of volunteers, local applications will take precedence.
