Story
Although Beau doesn’t look like it, he is still considered a puppy for a couple more months. We rescued Beau from a bad living situation. He was living in filth and eating out of the trash. When he became sick the previous owners were not going to take him to the vet because they didn’t have money. So we agreed to pay the vet bill but we would be taking the dog after. He is fully recovered now and back to his puppy self. Although he is not currently vaccinated or neutered, the appointments are set to have them done. Beau is under a year, about 8or 9 months. He loves to cuddle and play fetch. He likes to spend his days being active outside and his evenings sleeping where ever his people settle. We are not keeping Beau because my plate is already full with three kids and two cats.

Story
Meet this sweetheart named Echo! She originally came into the shelter June 16, 2021 when her owner could no longer keep her. She was adopted in July 2021 and is now back as of January 24. 2022 when her owner said she had anxiety and could no longer keep her. She was adopted April 2023 and was living a great life until her owner is now having to move and can not keep her. So sad for Echo. It's time for the shuffling to stop and for her to find her REAL FOREVER home. She is now 6 years old, current on shots, spayed, and just a complete love. She's a volunteer favorite and it is sad seeing animals adopted and returned. Likes some male dogs too. Might you have the most perfect loving FOREVER home for sweet Echo?! Visit with her today and see what a great pup she truly is and complete your family by adding her into your family! If you have another dog and are interested in meeting another potential new furry member please bring him or her to the shelter and meet on neutral ground before adopting. No need to shuffle the animals around any more than necessary. Please know that 1 mosquito bite can create heart worms and they can be fatal if not treated. It is VERY important to keep your pets healthy and protected by keeping them on a once a month heart worm and flea/tick prevention. These animals are counting on you as their owner to provide them with lots a love and the proper health care so PLEASE make sure you are aware and prepared before adopting. Owning a pet is an extra expense and responsibility but is so worth every minute and penny you invest in them. They will add lots of joy and unconditional love if given a fair chance. The shelter is open Mon.-Fri. 10-1, 2-5 and Sat. 10-4. Adopt a homeless pet and save a life. If you can not adopt right now come out and volunteer and make a difference in the lives of these animals while they await their FOREVER home.

Story
Meet this cutie named Milo! He originally came into the shelter January 19, 2022 when his owner could no longer keep him. They said that he could be destructive while inside the home…maybe anxiety. He is 4 years old, current on shots, and already neutered. He was adopted and 2 years later May 29, 2024 he finds himself needing a FOREVER home. Sad for this guy to be in and out of homes so he’s keeping his paws crossed that his real FOREVER home is there and ready to scoop him up. He is a sweet and super playful fella who is also full of love to share. He does love to play fetch with a toy or ball and is quickly learning to drop it and leave it (toy) so you can throw it again for him to fetch. He is eager to grab it so use caution and asking him to leave it is teaching manners and learning patience. Maybe having a ball in your hand to throw would be good too. He’s is smart and eager to learn and please. Just needs a home that will give him consistency and structure so he can be the best Milo!! Stop by for a visit with this adorable fella today and adopt him into your heart and home! If you have another dog and are interested in meeting another potential new furry member please bring him or her to the shelter and meet on neutral ground before adopting. No need to shuffle the animals around any more than necessary. Please know that 1 mosquito bite can create heart worms and they can be fatal if not treated. Story
Meet this LOVELY gal named Sprinkles! She was adopted and brought back 2 years later on February 21, 2024. She came in sad and seemed a bit neglected. Sores on her feel and hind end raw but she’s on the mend and the perfect loving FOREVER home is put there for her. Very shy but sweet and will thrive in a calm and nurturing environment. She is now 6 years old. This is her story: She came in with many of her siblings in October 2021 after being removed from the yard which they lived most of their life. Sprinkles is 4 years 3 months old, current on shots, now spayed, & ready for a fabulous life. She came in skinny, super stressed out and felt very insecure. She had recently had puppies & we had them as well…as soon as they were old enough to be weened they were separated and have been adopted. Now it’s mommas time to shine. Slowly but surely she continues to come out of that shy shell every day. She will come to you for love and body rubs and is learning to walk on the leash and sees life can be so good. She will do best in a calm & patient home that can provide her plenty of time to settle in and decompress. She will probably hid a bit at first but if you sit on the couch or chair she will come to you with time. Every day you will see her confidence getting stronger. If dogs could talk I feel we would hear a sad story from her. Yes she is shy but as sweet as sugar too. A home with a tall fenced in yard would also be good. She loves going out and sniffing around and just enjoys her freedom from being on a leash. A gentle soul who deserves a happily ever after where she can be spoiled and pampered for the rest of her life. If you feel you can give this to Sprinkles this kind of life please come out to the shelter and visit with her. May take a few times but once you see her the way other shelter volunteers and staff you will love her. Stop by for a visit with Sprinkles today.
