Story
****Reduced adoption fee***Adorable 7 month old puppy. Mom is a medium sized (26 lbs) mixed breed, dad is unknown. Mom and puppies were found as strays when the babies were 1 week old. Bee's Knees weighs 48 pounds so he will likely be a medium to large dog when full grown. He has grown the most adorable set of ears ever! I believe he can pick up radio signals from Mars with them! Sweet boy who isn't sure why he is back at the shelter. Bee's Knees is up to date on age-appropriate vaccines, have tested negative for heartworm disease and he has been neutered and microchipped. Bee's Knees was adopted as a tiny puppy. He was just returned due to a change in the owner's circumstances. $20 adoption fee

Story
Very pretty mixed breed dog, found as a stray. Crisco has a gorgeous soft grey coat with lighter patches. We estimate her to be about 1 year old, 30 pounds. Crisco is full grown and a good weight. She will walk on her back legs when begging for a treat like a circus dog. She would be a great candidate for agility training. Crisco can be selective about other dogs so we recommend bringing in your current pets for a meet and greet prior to adopting. She was found with another dog who she got along with (small female) but seems reactive towards male dogs here in the shelter. She is up to date on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm disease and her adoption fee includes a voucher for the mandatory spay and microchip.

Story
Daisy is a very sweet young adult, estimated about one year old. She weighs 55 pounds. Miss Daisy may look quiet and demure in her white coat. She has a lot of personality. If you aren't quick enough with the treats or stop giving scritches she has the cutest little (very unladylike) pig snort. Daisy is very treat motivated. She was learning to sit within minutes. Basic obedience training is a great way to bond with your new dog. Plus it helps them learn what you expect. Daisy can be selective in her dog friends (aren't we all) so we recommend a meet and greet with your current pets before adopting. Daisy is up to date on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm disease and her adoption fee includes a voucher for the mandatory spay and microchip.

Story
Charlie is a 6 year old female. She has been in one home since six weeks old. She is extremely affectionate, has never attempted to bite, however is a jumper so may need to be watched around small children. Unfortunately due to relocation Charlie has been restricted to a small space for many hours out of the day. She would thrive in a home that has a big yard to run. She also enjoys long walks. She makes new friends with any animal she comes across. Has resided with one (small) dog and up to six cats at one point, since a pup. She thrives on attention and believes she’s a lap dog. She will definitely need to find a home with owners that can provide her with lots of attention.

Story
Sweet and friendly young adult dog, estimated 1 year old. He weighs 36 pounds, which makes him not too big, not too small. He looks like a micro-Labrador Retriever. Licorice was found as a stray, getting too friendly with some chickens. Licorice says he just wanted to chew on their necks, but the finder didn't believe his story. Licorice is looking for a chicken free person or family who can keep him away from any neighbor's birds. We would recommend a slow introduction to any other small animals like cats. Licorice is up to date on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm disease and his adoption fee includes a voucher for the mandatory neuter and microchip.

Story
*****Sponsored Adoption fee****Ophelia is a bouncy and friendly one year old dog. She weighs 41 pounds, a perfect petite size. Ophelia has had a rough start, found as a stray, adopted, rehomed and surrendered to our shelter. She doesn't let any of that get her down, though. She just keeps looking forward to a forever family who will enjoy her exuberance and joy. She keeps a clean kennel here in the shelter which is a good sign for housetraining. She walks well on the leash, which is good, because she needs LOTS of exercise. Ophelia is looking for a person or family who loves to play as much as she does. Basic obedience training is a great way to bond with your new dog. She seems very bright, picking up quickly when we asked her to sit. She is up to date on vaccines, has tested negative for heartworm disease and has been spayed and microchipped.
