Story
Gunner is a true 80lb Gentle Giant who craves love and affection. Surrendered because his owners spent long days at work and Gunner was kept in a crate which he often broke out of in order to run free….. He bonded to me immediately and follows me everywhere…..he thinks he’s a lap dog and loves to snuggle…I’m sure he will bond with his next person also as he just wants to please and be loved! Is quite the couch potato if we’re not outside playing. Overall, he’s very well behaved and knows basic commands like sit, down, shake, wait and stay. Walks well on a leash…..my only complaint is he gets overly excited and jumps up, and doesn’t know his own strength …..we are currently working on this and he is very much a puppy and will be 2 in December. For this reason, I don’t recommend children in the mix as he could easily knock them over. He is up to dates on shots, neutered , microchipped and on heartworm meds. I’ve rescued and trained many German Shepherds over the years, but in all honesty, I’ve never met a dog as smart as this one…..and his total purpose in life seems to be to enjoy every moment and have fun …..he constantly cracks me up with his silly antics….and I lovingly call him the Doofuss! He’s exceptional, and so his new handler must be also! He'd prefer someone who is home a lot or works from home but he’d love to have another dog to wrestle and play with….he loves teasing with a tug toy….and a secure fenced yard…. Has done well with my cats and played non stop with my miniature Golden Doodle. To arrange a meet and greet email or text 828-699-9372 Fenced yard is a must, vet reference and home visit…..I want the very best for this boy….is that you?

Story
Meet Greg, a sweet and affectionate dog who's settling in wonderfully in his foster home! He's had an easy transition into his foster home, even spending his first night snuggled on the couch. Greg is a playful and social dog who gets along well with the three other dogs in his foster family. He enjoys spending time in the backyard and playing fetch and has had only positive interactions with their cat. While Greg hasn't met any kids yet, he's comfortable around adults, including visits from his foster grandpa, who helps let him out during the day. Greg is a cuddly companion who loves attention and will happily sit by your side, and offers many hugs when he is excited. He is what we would consider a Velcro dog and loves hanging out with his people. He's crate-trained and has been doing fine with his daily routine. If you're looking for a sweet, playful, and cuddly companion, Greg might be the perfect match for you!

Story
Abigail has a heart as big as her howl and she's on the hunt for a new home. She is the perfect combination of an independent pup that also appreciates couch cuddles. One secret about Abigail is that her favorite spot to sleep is curled up as small as she can on a comfy chair. She LOVES other dogs and would appreciate a friendly pup in her next home. She is housetrained and crate trained (although she doesn't love going into her crate - she is quiet and content inside it). Abigail prefers attention over treats and car rides are one of her favorite things! She is your typical houndy gal who loves following her nose and singing the songs of her people. And squirrels? Enemy #1. Abigail loves ear rubs and just enjoying a laid-back lifestyle with some romping around a yard sprinkled in. If you are looking for the sweetest baby angel of a dog, Abigail is your girl!
