Story
Meet Gracie! Sadly Gracie was surrendered into our care after living the first part of her life tied to a porch. Gracie has now lived more of her life in the shelter than she did out of it. She has been in our care for over a year and is one of our longest residents. Once Gracie warms up to you she is a huge cuddle bug and loves to play in the water! Gracie does have to be the only animal but we are working hard on getting her properly introduced to be able to coexist with other animals around. Gracie is currently in a foster home to help with socialization and learning about life away from the shelter. If you are interested in Gracie please call the shelter so we can schedule a meet and greet with her current foster family!

Story
Meet Nala! This pretty girl was surrendered into our care because her previous family was moving and could not take her with them. Nala is nervous in this environment with new people but with time she is so playful and loving! We have been introducing her to new dogs and she has done great! Nala does qualify for a foster to adopt because she does take more time to warm up. We think outside of this environment she would do even better! If you have another dog and are interested in Nala please call the shelter to schedule a meet and greet!

Meet sweet Charlie. This handsome senior was brought into our care because he was at risk to be euthanized. He seems to do well with other animals and loves treats. Story
Meet Phoenix! This sweet boy was brought into the Washington County Animal Shelter as a stray with a gun shot wound to his mouth. He quickly received the necessary Vet care and is a true survivor! We do not understand why people do the cruel things they do but we are so glad to have Phoenix here with us now to help him find the forever home he deserves. Phoenix is always looking for love and doesn`t mind bath time! He had the best zoomies getting dried off but his all time favorite is belly rubs! If you have another dog and are interested in Phoenix please call the shelter to schedule a meet and greet!

Story
Meet Bear! This handsome boy was sadly surrendered back into our care after being adopted in 2015 because his owner is now having to go into a nursing home and does anyone who can care for him. Bear has had the best 9 years and we are grateful he was able to be there with her when she needed him the most. Now that Bear is a senior it is truly heartbreaking that he is having to live at the shelter but we know his best years are yet to come and we hope he finds someone that will open up their home and heart to him. If you are interested in Bear please come by and meet him!

Story
Meet Winnie! This sweet girl was sadly brought into our care as a stray and was not reclaimed. Winnie was most likely kept outdoors and sadly used for breeding. We know she deserves so much more than the life she was used to and we are hopeful we can help find her a forever home. Winnie is a sucker for attention and would appreciate being the only animal in the home. She wants all the love for herself! If you are interested in Winnie we would love for you to come by the shelter to meet her.
