Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › **Please read the full bio for Cooper ** Meet Cooper. Isn't he handsome? The pictures are great but honestly don't do him justice of just how handsome he is. He is ~63 pounds of smushy gray fur with white markings. He has the cutest little underbite. Cooper is looking for his forever home - one who is dedicated to just Cooper as he needs to be the only pet in the home. He is a smart boy - he knows sit, leave it, lay down, recall, & stay! He is a strong boy & needs an experienced handler that will continue to work on his manners & leash skills. In his original home, Cooper lived with 10 & 12 year-old boys from the time he was 8 weeks old until he was 11 months old & he loved them very much. He is equal parts active AND chill - he likes to lie down on his bed with a bone or yummy peanut butter & treat-filled KONG as much as he enjoys doing the zoomies in the yard. Playing fetch is his favorite pastime - tennis balls are a must in the new home. When he is done, he’s ready to lounge & is happy to hang out with you or by himself. A DNA test was done which says he is a mixture of Labrador Retriever, American Staffordshire Terrier, hound, & Chinese Shar Pei.   Cooper was adopted when he was a young puppy & was very loved. He was adopted into a home with a 2 year-old dog who was also a Pawfect Match dog. She loved him as a puppy, but started to indicate that she no longer wanted another dog in her home. They both had high energy play styles & a few play sessions escalated & were difficult to break up, with neither dog relenting. Cooper didn't take kindly to being told no by her & continued to assert himself. She then didn't take kindly to being ignored. It caused a stressful situation for both dogs. Because of this, it was decided Cooper needed to be the only pet in a furever home so was returned to the rescue. ***Cooper is the 'pawfect' match for a household with no other pets - an adopter looking for a wonderful, smart, handsome dog with so much to offer is who will be his pawfect match. Cooper needs a home with a true FENCED yard so that he can burn off energy & play fetch without the ability to get into trouble. Cooper is not going to be a candidate for a dog park or doggie daycare. Cooper received a good deal of training prior to returning but he will need an adopter who will commit to ongoing training & whatever he needs. Could YOU be that 'pawfect' match? Could you be the furever home for Cooper? Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 7, 2024, 9:07 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Sid is a fun guy with big ears and lots of personality. He is very treat motivated and a quick learner. He loves to cuddle and be with his person.  This handsome canine friend has a leash aggression trait, which means that he thrives best in a home where he can be the sole dog. Sid's ideal environment includes a fenced yard, allowing him the space to explore, play, and enjoy the outdoors in a secure setting. In his foster home, Sid has shown great compatibility with other dogs. However, it's important to note that when meeting new canine friends while on a leash, Sid might take a bit of time to warm up. Patience is the key with Sid, as he transitions from cautious to comfortable when introduced to other dogs in a controlled manner. Sid's journey has shaped him into a loyal and loving companion, and his unique needs add a layer of charm to his personality. While he may need some time to build trust with other dogs, the rewards of having Sid as part of your family are immeasurable. To apply for adoption visit: https://www.pawfectmatch.org/info/adoptionVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 6, 2024, 2:18 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Remy is truly the sweetest pup you will ever meet. She is a active, loving girl who loves people and lounging on soft rugs.  Remy loves to be outside She is house-trained and crate-trained. Remy does not understand her size and will jump on you, because of this she needs home with older children.  She loves toys that squeak but they must be tough toys. She knows all of her toys by name.  Remy can be dog aggressive and does not do well on a leash. She must have a fenced in yard. She likes children but they must be older. She loves to ride in a car but will bark at any dogs she sees. She is very smart and knows her name/ nicknames. She also knows several commands. She is afraid of hardwood floors, so she would love a house with carpet or lots of rugs.  Remy's fosters states that: She needs a large fenced in backyard and be around no other animals due to her reactivity.  Small children could be an issue as she could inadvertently knock them down due to her size.  She’s come a long way with jealousy — she used to attack my daughter and I if we hugged or sat together but now she tolerates it fine. She can play rough with biting but she’s gotten better.  She’s a challenge on the leash due to reactivity and pulling. She came to Pawfect with a disfigured leg that they had fixed through a series of surgeries once she was placed with me. However, on occasion in cold weather, she will limp/not use that leg.  She does shed a lot so needs a shedding tool brushing regularly.  But she’s smart and a lover. She loves her squeaky toys. She’s not a licker but will lean on you for pets.   Remy was abandoned in South Carolina after giving birth to five puppies in the early spring of 2020. She is a loyal girl who is looking for a family to love! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › ***Peaches is very scared and will need a extremly secure and patient home for adoption.***Peaches is an 8 year old, goofy, active, sweet, shy at first girl who loves attention and loves to play. It takes a little bit of time for Peaches to warm up to you but when she does, she will love you forever. Because Peaches is very anxious, she is prone to nip and bite when feeling threatened or cornered.  Whoever would like to adopt Peaches will need patience and be willing to come and visit her in her foster home several times until she can feel comfortable.  She is fine when visitors come to her foster home but is very fearful when taken out of her environment.  PEACHES MUST HAVE A FENCED YARD AND CANNOT LIVE IN AN APARTMENT.  She loves to run and play with her foster siblings, get lots of love from her foster parents and give kisses. She nibbles on you a bit when she is trying to get your attention and she can never get enough attention.  To apply for adoption visit: https://www.pawfectmatch.org/info/adoptionVisit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 14, 2024, 11:49 am
