Story
Ducky is the happiest boy, always eager to make new friends anywhere he goes! This boy has an ambiguous past, having showed up on someones porch as a stray in January 2024. Ducky is on his way to mastering the art of potty training. Currently, he is comfortable in his crate as it is where he sleeps, eats, and spends his unsupervised time. Ducky is a curious, fearless boy who just wants to run and play in the yard, house, and is a cheerful boy on his walks. He walks very well on a leash and is on his way to being quite the Velcro dog. His ideal family would enjoy an active lifestyle and bring him on adventures! His foster family consists of two dogs, two cats, and two adult humans. He loves all of them dearly, although he is still learning to respect the boundaries of the cats. We would recommend Duckys forever home be cat-free. While Ducky does get along with his foster dog siblings and loves other dogs when properly introduced, he would do best in a pet-free home where he can be your one and only! His foster siblings are very submissive, so he could potentially be in a home with one other very submissive, female dog. He has not been tested with children or livestock. Because Ducky can be mouthy, we believe his best home would not have young children. Ducky would likely be fine with older children/teens (10+). Ducky does not have a high prey drive and has low reactivity when it comes to animals and strangers inside and outside of the home. He has a loud bark, so may not be suitable for apartment living. He uses his voice most when asking his foster siblings to play, or when his foster humans are leaving the house. Ducky has an incredibly sweet disposition and his favorite things to do include playing with a flirt pole in the yard, chasing balls, playing tug-o-war with his foster siblings, chewing on Benebones, and going for walks! Oh and eating food! Being a pup who is still learning to control his impulses, Ducky explores the world with his mouth. He can be quite mouthy, though this is a behavior he is learning to control! Ducky is eager to please and very intelligent! He is actively mastering sit, lie down, leave it, drop, and come. He continues to learn commands that help him develop structure and impulse control as well. At the end of the day, Ducky would do best in a home with experienced dog owners who could cultivate a safe, structured environment for him. His ideal family would be able to provide Ducky with consistent, gentle training in a way that best advocates for him, encouraging him to blossom into the best friend he wants to be!

Story
Helllllo!!!! My name is Journey, and my foster mom says I am the nicest boy she hasmet in a long time. Im no dummy I know that nice boys get all the treats and bellyrubs. I learned that from my first mom. She raised me right. When she got sick andcrossed the rainbow bridge, I was so sad. A kind neighbor knew I needed a soft placeto land, and lots of good people came together, and voila! Here I am! I settled right inat this amazing place called a foster home. Theres lots of places for naps. I like that alot, because Im no youngster. Dont be fooled, though my age doesnt stop me fromsome ridiculous (foster moms term) zoomies a few times a day. Walks are pretty fun, too. And getting treats. Love me some treats. But the thing I love most of all is a bellyrub. My foster mom says they make me smile, and that makes her smile, too.My mom would like to add a few things: Journey really is a sweet old man who wantsnothing more than a soft bed (or three) to nap in, short walks, belly rubs, andcompanionship. He came to us fully house trained, and he does not have a destructivebone in his body. He gets along well with our two senior female dogs. He still wants tobe playful for short bursts he loves to grab his leash and take himself for a walk. (Inthe name of full disclosure, he also loves to flop down mid-walk and demand belly rubs!)He has some sight, but it is clearly limited. That doesnt stop him from generally gettingalong well, inside and out of the house. (He will occasionally miss a step or walk over anobstacle that the other dogs just walk around.) Journey came to us with a bad skininfection that is almost gone. He has some old man lumps and bumps, but nodiscernible major health issues. He will be a lovely companion for the right family thatunderstands a seniors needs (and gifts). I am happy to talk with you if youd like toknow more about Journey!

Story
Scout is a 2 year old male dog who was brought to us after Hurricane Helene. He had a previous family, but after their house burned down they were unable to care for him and had to put him up for adoption. After everything he's been through he is a little nervous but is settling into his new foster home and is getting more comfortable every day. Scout has a lot of love to give, so apply to adopt him today if you want a new best friend! His foster mom said "he is SUCH a cuddle bug. He always wants to be touching. Even when I am walking around he likes to follow me around and keep touching my leg." He loves to take naps with his foster mom and would be great for an active family. He can get a little protective around his people, never agressive but he will warn other dogs when they are getting too close. That being said, he would probably do best in a home with no other pets and with an active family!

Story
Daisy was found in the middle of the road with her 11 siblings! They were extremely underweight and malnourished so the nice lady who found her and her siblings brought them all home. She was able to get them fed and cared for but reached out to us in hopes that we could help here at Beautiful Together. We were able to find foster homes for the puppies that were not adopted out, so now Daisy is safe and happy in her new foster home. She loves eating all the food she can, playing with her sister, and cuddling with her foster mom.

Richie is a bundle of affection and sweetness! She loves to snuggle up, play with toys, and look up at you with her beautiful eyes. Just out of the shelter, we are making sure she is fully healthy before she would join a new family, likely by the end of the year.
