Story
We adopted Dixie when she was around 1-2 years old from the New Hanover shelter. She is a very sweet loyal dog. She was found on the streets so she has been very skittish since day one. Over the years, she has broken out of her shell and became more social and relaxed. Loves playing with other dogs at the dog park and loves going for walks. She is also very chill and can just lay around all day. She is not a fan of kids so we are asking people without children to consider taking Dixie.

Story
Cowboy is approximately 12 years old and in great health. He loves chasing squirrels, toasting in the sun, play tug of war, and the usual games. He's very friendly with other dogs, and has been a great pet. We originally adopted him for my wife's grandmother 10 years. When she passed a couple years ago we took him in with the intention of finding him a new forever home. We previously had two dogs, and 3 dogs has become too much. We recently moved across the country and no longer have the space for 3 dogs. Cowboy would love to be in a home as a single dog or with others, and doesn't require anything other than love and affection.

Story
Stella was adopted from an animal center when she was ~12 weeks old. She is now 7 years old. Her "birthday" is January 10, 2017. Stella has anxiety and needs an experienced owner with lots of time to spend with Stella. Strange noises and unfamiliar people are not her favorite. She does not like it when her person leaves the house without her. Stella would love a yard with a doggie door. She is great with most med/large dogs as long as they are friendly, share toys, and do not bark at her. Not good with small dogs that bark a lot. Stella thinks breakfast is the best meal of the day with dinner being a close second. She loves treats including peanut butter lick mats and empty yogurt containers. She does not guard food. Stella loves to go on walks as long as it's not too hot outside. She also loves to cuddle and will sit with you on the couch all day long. Stella is house trained and will let you know when she needs to go outside by pawing at the back door.

Story
Lady is FULL of personality and honestly, is kind of a clown! She gravitates toward females (humans), and is more cautious with males. Sadly, I think she was mistreated by a man, but she is learning to trust my boyfriend. I think a home with a female human would be an easier transition. She LOVES to play & jaw wrestle with our beagle and I think she would make an excellent playmate for another active dog. She is curious about our cat, but not aggressive. She really needs a fenced yard and regular exercise, but is doing remarkably well considering she was saved from a shelter only 3 months ago. I have videos of her athleticism and agility ability!! She's a beautiful girl and will make an exceptional fur child for the right family.

Story
Rhi, Reeses, RhiRhi, whatever you call her she is a loveable 4 year old pitty with ALOT of energy. She is a sweet girl who absolutely loves cuddles and staring at you like you are her favorite person. Rhi eas adopted last year from the greensboro animal shelter. I have had her since then and logr her so much but need her to be placed with the right family. Unfortunately given my living situation I can no longer house her. This beautiful baby girl needs a backyard with a tall fence or an owner who loves to walk on gonon runs. Rhianna requires a home that has no other pets or children. She can be a rough player and has some dog aggression issues that makes it hard for her to make friends. An experienced owner is needed for her.
