Story
Age: 10 years Weight: 30lbs Good with dogs? Would like to be the only dog Good with cats? No Good with kids? No Energy Level: Moderate Adoption Fee: $200.00 Any other info: Meet Bo. This sweet senior boy has found himself sitting in a scary shelter at the age of 10 and he's not loving it. He was adopted from us as a puppy 10 years ago but unfortunately was just recently returned. Bo is a sweet boy but he does not do well with strangers in his home so he's looking for a low traffic home with someone to love him for the rest of his days. His previous owners said Bo was a perfect dog 99% of the time but he gets very worked up into a frenzy when people come to the house and acts out. He can be very fearful of new people and other animals. Bo would love to be in a calmer home. Being afraid of strangers and other animals makes living his life in a shelter pretty difficult. He would love to be someone's baby and best friend. Bo is a very distinguished gentleman with sweet soulful eyes, a super adorable scruffy face and a happy smile. He is very sweet when you go slow with him and once he knows he is safe with you, he is a friendly, affectionate, cuddle bug of a boy. The shelter is no place for a senior so please help us help him! Share his story far and wide. We know there is the perfect home out there for Bo and we won't stop until we find them. He is house trained and potty trained and food is the way to his heart, although he's too nervous to eat much right now. Bo is 10 years old, neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, and kept on prevention here with us. He will also be starting some medications for anxiety to help him get through this stressful time and he should probably stay on them for the rest of his life to help his transition. If you have the perfect low traffic home and are looking for a sweet senior boy in need of a family, don't wait, please apply through the link below. https://form.jotform.com/201977724595065 Once your application is processed and approved, our adoptions team will reach out to schedule an in person meet and greet with Bo. ------------------------------------------------ Our adoption fees include the pets spay or neuter, microchip, up to date vaccines, heartworm/tick disease testing and fecal check. All adoption fees can be found on our groups' Petfinder page. The first step to our adoption process is to please fill out and adoptions application, it can be found on our website www.serenityanimalhospital.net, under the "Adopt From Us" Tab. Story
Age: 13 months Weight: 14lbs Good with dogs? Yes Good with cats? Unknown Good with kids? Older Energy Level: High Adoption Fee: $320.00 Any other info: Meet Taco! Taco and his brother Tamales came to us from a high kill shelter in the south. These boys are only 13 months old, basically still puppies, and have already been through so much in their short lives. They are beyond ready for life to slow down a bit and for a family to love them for all they are. Taco and Tamales do not have to go to a home together, in fact, we usually do not recommend adopting sibling pups, but Taco and Tamales have been together their whole life and so far that has been the only consistent thing about their lives. Both Taco and Tamales are very shy, timid, and skittish little guys but they are completing different dogs when they are together. They really help build each other up and bring out each other goofiness and confidence so we are hoping someone will find it in their heart to keep these boys together. Taco is such a ham!! He is very shy at first but always eager to please and super sweet. He has a beautiful golden brown fur coat and sweet soulful eyes begging for someone to love him unconditionally. Taco is 13 months old, neutered, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, and kept on prevention here with us. Both him and his brother are no so patiently waiting for their very own happily ever after!! Story
Age: 5 years Weight: 60lbs Good with dogs? No Good with cats? No Good with kids? Older Energy Level: Moderate Adoption Fee: $320.00 Any other info: Meet Daisy! Daisy was adopted from us two years ago and just recently returned. When Daisy first came to us she needed an FHO surgery and was barely getting around. She had her surgery and did great with recovery! Unfortunately she is now back with us and has gained quite a bit of weight, which is hard on her hips. We are working on getting her back in shape but all in all she is doing great! Daisy can be weary with strangers in the home from what we were told but she has been such an angel here with us and is happy to see everyone. She wiggles her entire body around in excitement and smiles from ear to ear when we approach her cage. We can hardly get a picture of her because of her happy feet dancing around in excitement whenever she sees you. Daisy originally came to us from a shelter where she was at risk of being euthanized for space. We don't get a ton of info on these dogs so we don't know much about her history but it is clear she is a lover girl! We believe she was not properly socialized with other animals at an appropriate age and with her history of her surgery and possibly being painful in the future, she is looking to be the only pet in the home. Daisy would adore being an only child and loved on the way she deserves. She knows her commands, is house/potty trained, loves comfy beds, tasty treats, and above all being loved unconditionally. Although this sweet girl has been through a lot of ups and downs in her life, she is still so optimistic and so hopeful for her future. We just know there is a perfect family out there waiting for a dog like Daisy! She is estimated to be around 5 years old, spayed, up to date on vaccines, microchipped, heartworm tested negative, and kept on prevention here with us. She is also on joint supplements and a medication to help with her anxiety. Daisy did like to run out of her house and cause mischief which is how she ultimately ended up back here with us. She is looking for a family that will make sure she cannot go running out of the front door and get into trouble. If you have the perfect home for Daisy, please apply through the link below. https://form.jotform.com/201977724595065 Once your application is processed and approved, our adoptions team will reach out to schedule an in person meet and greet with Daisy. ------------------------------------------------ Our adoption fees include the pets spay or neuter, microchip, up to date vaccines, heartworm/tick disease testing and fecal check. Story
Age: 2 years Weight: 14lbs Good with dogs? no Good with cats? no Good with kids? Older Energy Level: Moderate-High Adoption Fee: $320.00 Any other info: Meet Silky. Silky, with her pristine white fur and eyes that shimmer like morning dew, is a delicate little soul. She has the sweetest disposition and the cutest ears you've ever seen! Her initial shyness is like a soft veil, but once she knows you, her true sweetness shines through. Silky dreams of finding a forever family—a place where she can feel safe, loved, and cherished. Silky can be shy when meeting new people or in new environments and she likes to just sit back and observe at first. Silky’s initial shyness is her way of protecting her tender heart. She might take a step back at first, but with patience, she’ll come forward with gentle curiosity. Once Silky knows she’s safe, her true nature blossoms and she's as sweet and silk. She’ll nuzzle your hand, offer gentle kisses, and curl up beside you, her heart full of love. Silky enjoys the simple pleasures of life—a cozy bed, a warm lap, tasty treats, and the soft murmur of kind words. Her presence is a soothing balm. Her ideal home would a a calm and quiet home where she can feel secure. A patient family who understands her shyness and provides gentle encouragement would be her perfect match. Silky is just two years old and is still learning to be brave. Don't let that fool you though, this girl has tons of personality just waiting to burst out if given the chance to get comfortable.
