Story
Nola was rescued from going to a shelter. She was dropped off to me covered in fleas, with worms and very dirty. She has since been treated for fleas and worms, is now up to date on her shots and is scheduled to be spayed later this month. She is a sweet dog but would be better suited for a house with no other pets or children so we are unable to keep her. She would do well in the right forever home.

Story
We rescued Chester and have had him for just over three months! He’s a great puppy! Sadly, after some testing my husband and his son are both allergic to him. He loves toys, balls, running, and taking naps. He does very well in a crate, car rides, and coming to work with me!

Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Good with kids, Good with dogs, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Robin is 8 years old (birthday 10/15/15) and is a sweet and slightly anxious pup. She loves to cuddle and would snuggle with you for as long as you let her. She is so gentle with our kids and all of our nieces and nephews, giving unlimited kisses. I had cancer about five years ago and since have less energy for myself and Robin and we know that she deserves more interaction and activity which I no longer have the energy for. We moved a couple of years ago and no longer have a fenced in backyard for her to run in which we really want for her again. She does not do well off leash unless fenced in. We hope to find someone to give her a great rest of her life.

Murphy

Mixed Breed (Medium)

Male, Adult
Northville, MI
Size
(when grown) Med. 26-60 lbs (12-27 kg)
Details
Not good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Murphy is a 3.5yr-old male (Beagle/Aus Shep/Collie mix,45-50lbs). He had his shots and has been neutered. He was originally adopted from Michigan Humane in 2021 (chipped). Was found as a stray in Detroit's Palmer Park area. The couple that found him could not keep him, so he was adopted by my family in April 2024. He was found to be heart worm positive and has gone through treatments in May and June. He is now in the 120-day waiting period before retesting (Dec). We were going to keep him, but have two other dogs that he does not get along with. Negatives: Can be spooked by loud/sudden noises like landscape equipment, vacuum cleaners etc., which may result in anxiety. Doesn't always get along with other dogs. Positives: Smart, trainable, likes to lounge, loves belly rubs and to be with his people. Is crate/house trained and sometimes howls at sirens (funny). He'd be good for an adult home (older children may be OK) with no other pets that can provide attention, training, and exercise.

Chewy

Bernese Mountain Dog

Male, Young
Northville, MI
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Not good with kids, Good with dogs, Needs experienced adopter, House-trained, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Chewy was purchased from a breeder and has his AKC paperwork. He is a very sweet guy with our family, but he’s very high strung and reactive. Never bit anyone, but he does not like new people and can take him a long time to warm up. He is skittish, sensitive to sounds and activity, and living in an active subdivision with kids constantly in and out of the house creates a lot of stress. He has been formally trained and also has an ecollar which we don’t use anymore. He knows basic commands and is fantastic with recall. Chewy would do great in a home without a lot of commotion. He is a very sweet guy, but our home is just not a good fit.
