Story
We adopted Bumpy from a private owner last spring. He was very undisciplined when we got him and that has improved significantly. Unfortunately he has become too aggressive towards our elderly dogs and we must rehome him. He loves people especially kids and wants to play with other dogs but is too aggressive. He is definitely a beagle in a pug suit, so someone who is familiar with that breed is a preferred adopter. He can’t be around cats or small animals due to his beagle prey drive. He is housebroken and crates very well, he has food allergies so must be on a strict salmon & sweet potato diet but a very good food is available at pets supplies plus. He is a very charming and loving dog and it breaks my heart to rehome him, but I have to think about what is best for everyone in our pack.

Story
May is a wonderful Dane that was surrendered due to health issues of owners. She is overweight, so new home would need to continue small walks, and best environment is a one-story home. She is seeing vet and will be evaluated for her knees. She loves her stuffies, toys, and bones. She loves people and just wants to be loved and petted, and she will give you lots of kisses! Very happy girl who loves calm, quiet environments. Would be okay with another calm older Dane. May's sole purpose in life is to be with her humans and she is focused on her people!

Story
Watson just turned 6 in November. He is a great dog that is very obedient and well trained. He is afraid of new people at first and will shy away but warms up. He loves being outside, loves fetch, loves to chase squirrels and be a goofball. He is trained off leash and listens very well. I am hoping to find a loving home that can give him a great life.

Story
Looking for a home for our loved cream toy poodle. He is 3 years old. Born 12/7/2021. About 7-8lbs. He is a very intelligent and sweet dog however he has become increasingly aggressive towards children. He was rescued by us when he was hit by a car at 6 months old. He had a successful surgery and it does not affect him in any way. He was raised in my home with my children and is wonderful with my tween daughter but aggressive towards kids including my 10 year old son. He has nipped my niece and nephew. He has had training and is very easy to teach but this is one thing we have not been able to overcome. He is scheduled to be neutered in April. I was hoping it would help but can no longer risk my son’s safety while waiting to see. I love this dog, he is a Velcro dog and just wants to cuddle and sit with his person. Very affectionate. Does well with cats! He can be food aggressive when another animal goes near his bowl. Please consider giving our boy a home. He will steal your heart.

We found him at the River Rouge Shelter waiting for his second chance. Approximate age / Weight: 3 years old and 85 lbs. Personality: Cobi is just a big lug who wants to be near his humans. He enjoys a good snuggle and nap as much as he likes some sunny patio time. Cobi thrives on routine and adapted to living in his foster home easily. Cobi needs space and patience when introduced to new folks, particularly men. He just needs to know that a guy is trustworthy. He absolutely adores his foster dad. Cobi is up for car rides and doesn’t mind trips to the vet. Loves treats and is learning the basics in foster care. Doesn't pull on leash but zig-zags a bit to get to sniffs. New Home: Cobi could fit into many home situations. He really just wants someone to love.
