Story
Joel loves the outdoors. He loves to roll around in the grass and bathe in the sun. He follows his nose anywhere, usually along a tree line and into tall grass and weeds. Any chance he gets, he'll hop into a river or pond, even in the dead of winter. I'm looking for a new home for Joel where he can spend more time outdoors doing the things he loves—ideally 2+ hours per day to explore. Joel is used to living with other dogs and has done well around young children. He can be hit-or-miss with strange dogs on walks, but he can get comfortable with anyone after some exposure. Cats get him very excited, but he tends to scare them off. When you adopt Joel, you can take all his gear home with him—toys, leashes, collars, etc. His favorite toy is the 13" Multipet Duckworth. Joel isn't trained per se, but he knows his name and can do a few tricks. His DNA test shows that he is: 50% Poodle (Standard) 22.9% Australian Shepherd 13% Boston Terrier 8.2% Beagle 5.9% Cocker Spaniel

Story
We inherited Dixie from my partner's mother who is now too old to care for her. We would love to keep Dixie however she has allergies that require her to have a perscription food diet, take weekly medicated shampoo baths, and may require cytopoint injection therapy for her allergies. Despite our best efforts we are unable to afford her treatments and have no choice but to find another family for her. She is very sweet and playful but she still has a lot to learn. For example she still needs to learn not to pull on the leash, and not to bark at new people. I would like to keep in touch with the family that choses to adopt her to make sure she will be ok as well as aid in her medical recovery with the history information I have about her. This is a high maintnence dog that needs training and medical needs. I am setting her adoption price to 100 dollars because the person who wishes to adopt her has to have enough money to support her diet and hygene regime. (734) 707-6389

Story
Indy quickly becomes everyone’s favorite Dobie due to his agreeable nature and persistence to live life to its fullest. He spends time lounging on his orthopedic dog bed between meals, barking if breakfast is late -then barks to announce its time to check the yard and stretch our legs. Happy to sunbath and monitor the other dogs, a peacemaker - he will bark to tattle on the dogs not playing nice. He has some white hairs and scars around his face, skin tags and one unruly ear crop - he is neutered, Heartworm treated and on prevention. Required treatment for skin and respiratory infections at intake. His blue coat is still growing back. He showed signs of neglect and had been abandoned as just a skeleton of a dog. Given a clean bill of health - he is adoptable (approximately 6 years old) Optional Transport meet-up Locations include Ohio, Chicago area, Kalamazoo, Battlecreek, Portage, Jackson and Ann Arbor.

Story
CoverGirl has a very strong personality, even though she’s the smallest she doesn’t let that stop her from playing with the big dogs. She’s definitely the most playful out of the litter. She loves to play, run, jump, etc. She’s a very active dog who loves being able to run outside. Her favorite thing to do is shower you with kisses. She loves being able to show how affectionate she is, if you let her she’d probably try to kiss you all day long. She’s the perfect play mate for people and dogs. CoverGirl is all back with perk ears and a long tail and short coat. Ready for training and to GLOW into a medium sized adult dog (based on paws and growth so far). *Orange Collar Favorite Color: Blush tones Favorite Toy: Soft Frog Stuffy Favorite Food: Chicken Nuggets We do not know the breed mix of the litter - presumed to be Dobermans or Hounds. Long legs, short coats with long tails and floppy ears. The litter was found and taken to the vet with bald patches and a skin infection, now healed a shiny black short coat. Rescue worked with Manvel Lakes Animal Hospital for treatment plan and secured a foster home. They are ready for adoption! Story
As innocent as a Shirley Temple As sweet as a Twizzler As playful as a Jelly Belly As popular as a Maraschino Cherry Cherry is a young natural Doberman who would benefit from a patient family who will help her work through shyness and insecurities. She came to our rescue from a southern shelter in Texas, heartworm treated and spayed. Cherry was nervous to be an inside dog at first, whines to go outside and barks at dogs who frighten her. She participates in playgroups and does well after a slow intro to bossy or assertive dogs. Cherry does not like fireworks or gunshots (she will run and hide, for days). Doberman experience is helpful but Cherry is not protective/guarding - just insecure of 'new' Watch Cherry with Princess Charlotte (4 yr old alpha female, also adoptable) https://youtu.be/d-wq-ibyYbw?si=ZNKMbiO2rw30s1vP
