Story
STAR is a foster-based rescue. All our rescue animals stay in foster homes until adoption. We do not have a central facility. If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.  If you aren't sure yet what dog/puppy will fit your family, you can still get pre-approved for adoption. Fill out an application letting us know what you are looking for, and then we will help you find a dog that matches your home and lifestyle. All STAR animals come vetted, Up to Date (UTD) on age appropriate shots and testing, spay and neutered (if of age,) and microchipped. AGE DISCLAIMER: Unfortunately, most of the orphaned animals that come into our rescue looking for homes don’t bring birth certificates. Sometimes we know our pets’ ages. Sometimes we don’t. So we make our best guess based on the condition of their teeth and the veterinarians best guess.   BREED DISCLAIMER: Visual breed identification in dogs is unreliable so for most of the dogs we are only guessing at predominant breed or breed mix. We get to know each dog as an individual and will do our best to describe each of our dogs based on personality, not by breed label . Microchips: For the safety of our dogs and peace of mind of our fosters and adopters, STAR microchips all dogs prior to adoption with Petlink Microchips. Please understand that all dogs MUST still wear a collar with ID tags (which include your current information) AT ALL TIMES. Please remember, our foster dogs are extremely important to us-- we will always take any of our dogs back, if for any reason you can't keep your adopted dog. Never surrender him/her to a shelter! If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.  Hi! My name is Gnocchi and I'm an extra special boy! My foster mom saved me from being euthanized at an over crowded shelter.  I already know the commands "SIT" "SHAKE" and "DOWN". I love other dogs and I LIVE for playing with stuffed toys! They are my favorite thing in this whole wide world! I especially love squeaky toys! I don't try to escape or dig out of my fenced in yard. I would prefer to have a fenced yard instead of a tie out because they freak me out a little bit, though I'm not afraid of loud noises and my foster mom says I'm a joy to have around and she is really going to miss me when I find me "forever family." If you think that you could be his person, please fill out an application. Thank you! Love, Gnocchi. If you have questions about me you can email my foster mom at heather@savingtailsanimalrescue.org All STAR animals come vetted, Up to Date (UTD) on age appropriate shots and testing, spay and neutered (if of age,) and microchipped. If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.  Hi! My name is Tsunami, but you can call me Tzu Tzu! I am the HAPPIEST girl ever - my tail never stops wagging! I love everyone that I meet. I would love an active family that would take me for walks or hikes - maybe even a jogging buddy would be great! I LOVE snacks and I've never guarded my food or toys. I would love a family with considerate kids. If you would like to know more about me or meet me, please fill out an application or email my foster mom heather@savingtailsanimalrescue.org I sleep in my crate at night and haven;t had any accidents in there. My foster mom says she cant help but smile when I'm around. I know how to SIT on command really good, especially when there is a snack or meal at stake! If you would like to meet me, please fill out an application ASAP or email my foster mom at heather@savingtailsanimalrescue.org My adoption fee has been sponsored, and I come with a leash, collar, treat, toys, food, crate and all sorts of other goodies as well. Story
STAR is a foster-based rescue. All our rescue animals stay in foster homes until adoption. We do not have a central facility. If you want to meet any of our adoptables please submit an application.  Hi! My name is Candy Corn! I got my name not only because I am SO sweet....but  because my foster mom found me on the side of the road when she was on her way to a vet appointment with her other foster puppies and she lured me with candy corn! I was super skinny and all on my own, and I was scared. She tossed me some candy corn, and I scarfed it right up I was so hungry. It also showed me that I had nothing to be afraid of, so I was brave and went to the vet with her. They found out that all though I clearly hadn't been taken care of and I was skinny with fleas, I was in great health otherwise and SO very sweet. I was SO appreciative to be found by a kind person. I am a petite little thing, and probably mixed with a  smaller breed. The vet guessed I will top out about 40lbs so I will stay on the smaller size. I am heartworm negative and already microchipped and up to date on my vaccinations. I have also been dewormed and on flea/tick/heartworm prevention. I love to give kisses and cuddle and I am very submissive. I get along great with other animals including cats and I am gentle so I would be great with kids! If you are interested in meeting me, I would love a forever family of my own! I will be spayed and the rest of my vetting completed on 10/21 so I could go home after that! Please fill out  an app or email my foster mom heather@savingtailsanimalrescue.org with any questions. My adoption fee is $265 and it includes all my vetting up to date including spay, some food, leash, collar, treats and toys and some other goodies. Apps available at www.linktr.ee/starescue     Thank you! Story
It's with a heavy heart that I'm asking for help rehoming my girl. She deserves ALL the love if not more than what we've been lucky to give her. Emma's a goofy loving girl, gives the best cuddles and little kisses, has a quirky & funny personality, & she loves playing outside. She is 4 years old, and is a real sweetheart. Emma is territorial w/ food & space ONLY w/ other dogs, not people. She is fearful of/and around other dogs. This has made a tense & fearful living situation with our older dog. I have a senior dog that clashes with Emma. It's created major feeding & spacial issues. This has lead us to this incredibly hard decision to find her a better suited environment to thrive in & get the individual attention she deserves that we ultimately can't. Never has Emma shown any aggression towards me or other people, family, or strangers. She is crate trained & sleeps in her bed. She's potty trained & can walk good on a harness. She loves toys, treats & being called pretty! Cuz she is!

Story
Hi, everypawdy! My name is Grace. I'm a beautiful, loving soul who is looking for a family to call my own. I spent the majority of my early life in an animal testing laboratory-- did you know that dogs and cats are used for animal testing, too? Despite everything that I've been through, I'm a sweet and happy girl now that Beagle Freedom Project has rescued me. Walks, runs, and hikes are a few of my favorite hobbies. Attention and being pet are necessities as well, of course! A good cuddle at the end of a long day will fill me with joy. My foster family says I'm smart as a whip...I already know how to sit, heel, halt, and more! A good treat and some cuddles are enough to motivate to learn like a pro. I love being near my favorite humans, and playing with my favorite toys. If you want a reason to smile every single day, then I am the pup for your family. I prefer a home that has: a fenced yard, no other animals, adults-only, lots of love! My location: NOWATA, OK *Please note that third-party sites like PetFinder or Adopt-a-Pet may sometimes list multiple locations for the same animal. My correct and current location is the one listed directly above!* If you are interested in adopting me, please fill out an adoption application at https://bfp.org/adopt/ Please email the Beagle Freedom Project Team with questions at: adopt@bfp.org. ABOUT BEAGLE FREEDOM PROJECT: Beagle Freedom Project is the world's leading organization for rescuing and rehoming animals used in experimental research.
