Story
We adopted stryked a couple years ago from a shelter and has been such a great companion. Hes full of love and energy. He loves to go on walks and play outside! We are having to re home him because he unfortunately does not do well around kids. We do not know much about Strykers past before we adopted him but it was not a good one and thats why we are trying to make sure he goes to a good home and not to another shelter! He would be a great companion for a family without children or a single family household. This little guy deserves a good home and a family to love him!

Story
Meet Logan, a 7-year-old Boxer/Shepherd mix. He was rescued as a puppy, and his breed is uncertain. He is fixed and up-to-date on his shots. After a small incident with our 2-year-old, it has become clear that as he ages, he is less tolerant of small children. We need to find him a kid-free home. He is a total couch potato and knows basic commands

Story
Louie is smart, fairly calm, dog. Loves napping, treats, toys and enjoys laying in the sun. Our family enjoys Louie personality but unfortunately our 9 yr old boxer is having trouble adjusting to him. Louie is house trained and listens to all his camands. (Sit, stay, no, paw). Louie plays well with our other foster dog. They've became the best of buddies, which makes this extra tough for him and our family. Hoping to find Louie a good home with love and the experience of prior adopters. Someone who's familiar with new adjusting pups. Louie d.o.b is 9/10/22

Story
Hi there! My name is Pollo, and I’m an exceptionally intelligent boy who’s been waiting for my forever home at FMAR for over five years. When I first arrived as a stray, I was in rough shape, but I’ve come a long way since then. Now, I’m ready to show someone just how wonderful I can be! Many people thought I was predominantly Pit Bull Terrier, but thanks to a DNA test done by a volunteer, I found out my true heritage! I’m made up of: * 52% Rottweiler * 27% American Pit Bull Terrier * 16% American Staffordshire Terrier * 3% American Bulldog You can really see my Rottweiler coloring shine in the sunlight! I have big dreams of becoming an agility dog! The volunteers here set up obstacle courses, and I absolutely love showing off my jumping skills. When I’m not being active, I enjoy relaxing in the yard and soaking up the sun. I might be a bit shy when meeting new people, but give me a few treats, and I’ll be your best friend in no time! I would thrive best with an experienced owner who understands my behavioral challenges. Nowadays, I’m fairly laid back and love spending time with the volunteers. Once I get to know someone, I quickly settle down and just crave a little love and affection. A few short walks or some time in a fenced backyard is all the exercise I need, and I enjoy mental stimulation through games and obedience commands. If you’re looking for a loyal companion who is eager to learn and love, come meet me, Pollo! I can’t wait to show you just how special I am. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you would like to meet me, please submit an application for me on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs. I am neutered, up to date on all age appropriate vaccines, heartworm negative, microchipped, and on monthly flea, tick, and heartworm prevention. My adoption fee is $250, which covers part of the medical care I have received. *Each dog is different, so each adoption is different. The adoption process may require multiple visits to the shelter before a dog can go home with you. Or they may be ready on the first visit. It depends on the individual dog and the potential adopters. One we receive your application, the Dog Staff will contact you to discuss meeting our dogs.

Story
Hey there, Arnold here! If you're searching for a handsome, fun-loving guy who's always up for an adventure, I'm your dog! I'm currently hanging out in my kennel, patiently waiting for the chance to meet you and show you just how great I am. The volunteers here love taking me to events because I'm a rockstar in the car and well-behaved in public. I’m the life of the party during pack walks with my dog friends, and I have a blast at playgroups. But don’t worry, I’m just as excited to play with my humans, too—especially when it comes to tug-of-war! Just a heads-up though... I’ve got some serious tug strength, so you better be ready, because I might just pull you down in the process! I’m looking for an active, fun-loving family who can keep up with my energy. I’m eager to learn, so I’ll need a family that has the time and patience to continue my training and match my enthusiasm. While I still need to work on my leash manners, I promise I’ll be an amazing hiking or jogging buddy once I’ve got those down. A fenced-in yard is a must for me to run and play, and I’d be thrilled to have older kids who can appreciate my playful, sometimes clumsy nature. If you’ve got another dog, that could be awesome too! We just need to make sure we’re introduced properly. I’m crate-trained and have been noted to be accident-free in a home setting, so I’ve got the basics covered. I can’t wait to meet you and your family! Don’t miss the chance to bring this handsome, energetic guy into your life. Together, we’ll make memories that’ll last a lifetime! ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- If you would like to meet Arnold, please submit an application for him on our website https://www.friendsofmichigan.org/adoptable-dogs.
