Story
Bo was my dad’s dog before he passed away a little over a year ago. I took him in but can no longer keep him. He is a very energetic 12 year old dog who loves to play fetch and enjoys hanging outside. He’s very expressive and funky when he plays, he enjoys turning his butt towards you and kicking his back leg out. He’s an avid tug of war player and will always greet you with a toy when you return home. I am looking for someone living in a house with no other dogs or children for him to live, thats the best environment for him to thrive in. He deserves a loving home where he can relax for the rest of his life. He loves to be scratched and sunbathing.

Story
Hi! My name is Bear! I was found wandering the streets cold and skinny. I do not have a microchip and no family came looking for me. These nice people found me, gave me food and a warm bed, all of my shots, and they neutered me! I am nice to other dogs.. I’m actually really submissive to the little dog I am living with. Ive met and hung out with some kids ages 10 and up. I liked them so much! I am smart, food motivated and eager to please! Im an easygoing guy! I just want to be fed and loved. I am learning my leash manners like a champ, taking walks is so much fun! I am crate trained and housebroken, ready to snuggle with my forever family.

Story
A little different. A lot of love in Kalamazoo Polaris is a stunning 8 month old Aussie pup with a story - and a heart - you won’t soon forget. Born as the result of double merle breeding, Polaris is deaf and has very limited vision. When he couldn’t be sold, he was dumped to fend for himself, along with his blind and deaf sister. But he’s since shown that he’s more than anyone expected - resilient, loving, and full of life. Despite his challenges, Polaris is a happy, affectionate pup who’s never met a stranger. He finds comfort being close to his person, especially outside, and will thrive in a home with a fenced-in yard where he can safely explore by your side. Fun Facts About Polaris *Loves to play inside - especially fetch with his ball! *Occasionally barks at things he can see, but a gentle touch and quick reassurance calms him right down. * Needs the same love, training, and exercise as any Aussie pup - he just does it his way. * Sweet, social, and ready to love big. * He loves to swing with his person on a porch swing. Polaris is looking for a furever home that understands that having special needs doesn’t mean less - just different. He is looking for his best friend; someone to take him with them and keep him by their side. Polaris is UTD on his vaccines, neutered, microchipped, and on HW and flea prevention. He currently weighs about 45#. He is housebroken; he has learned to go to the door when he needs to potty. (He will need some time, and patience, to figure out where the door is in his new home.) He is well on his way to being crate trained. He will need work with his leash skills, although he walks well beside his foster mom in the yard. If you think Polarais is the perfect pup for you, please fill out an application at https://www.australianshepherdsfurever.org/adoption-application. There is an additional $20 microchip fee which includes registration and transfer to his new furever family. Polaris is currently located in Kalamazoo, MI.

URGENT Courtesy Post: Owner Surrender/Rehoming- Grosse Pointe, MI *This dog doesn’t belong to ASF and hasn’t been evaluated by ASF.* Meet Paco! is a 6-year-old Australian Shepherd and weighs 51 lbs. He is neutered, microchipped, up to date on shots, and on heartworm prevention. Paco is good with older children, farm animals, cats, and dogs! No younger children, due to his reactivity! Paco is an extremely loving and velcro dog! He goes on 2-3 runs a week, as well as has free roam of the house and fenced-in yard. He loves frisbee and walks well on a leash! He is very active during the day but turns into a couch potato at night. Paco bit the owner’s young son after he chased him around a room and tried to hug him. He also attempted to bite the neighbor’s young daughter who poked her face through the fence. The owner is surrendering him because he doesn’t do well with younger children. He needs to go by 7/11! If you think you can provide a great home for Paco, please contact the owner listed below. There is a $150 rehoming fee to assure good folks with good intentions. This fee will be donated to Australian Shepherds Furever, for their assistance in placing Paco. The owner is willing to cover this fee for his next adopter. Story
*Currently in foster and also killing it on social media. Check him out @Phil E. Buster on Facebook Meet Phil – Professional Snuggler, Amateur Splash Pad Enthusiast, and Certified Good Boy This is Phil. Yes, THE Phil. A little black pittie with the softest coat and the world’s most majestic resting pitt face. At about 3 years old and 45 pounds, Phil is the perfect size to fill your lap, your heart, and most of your couch. Phil is a one-dog kind of guy. He’s not into drama or chaos. He’s into chill vibes, long snuggles, and taking things slow. He might be cool with other dogs after a few polite hellos and some social sniffing. He’s been to events, absolutely crushed it, and yet somehow didn’t get adopted—probably because you weren’t there to witness his charm in person. Your loss. But also, your second chance. Phil is ready to live his best life, preferably one that involves a splash pad, a kiddie pool, or literally any kind of water feature. He's been great with kids, so he's open to having some tiny humans as roommates, especially if they drop snacks. Cats? Unconfirmed. Grass? Loves it. Netflix nights? A big yes. Shelter life? He says “no thanks.” He’s politely asking the universe (that’s you) for a soft place to land and a life filled with squeaky toys, belly rubs, and the occasional puppuccino. So if you're looking for a sidekick with the face of a tough guy and the heart of a teddy bear, Phil is your peanut butter. You bring the jelly. Apply now. He's waiting.

Story
Meet Bobby — The Blue Pittie Burrito! Bobby is a 4–5-year-old blue pittie with eyes so sweet they should come with a warning label. One gaze from this man and you’ll be signing adoption papers you didn’t even know you printed. He LOVES to play, LOVES to cuddle, and is an absolute fashion icon when it comes to sweaters. Seriously — Bobby in a sweater looks like he’s about to ask you if you’ve “heard about his podcast.” Cozy is his lifestyle, not a hobby. He came to us a bit skinny, and we’re currently in Operation Beef Bobby Up — a strategic plan involving snacks, naps, and admiration. He’s around 40 lbs right now but working on becoming the full, thicc king he was meant to be. Bobby might enjoy dog friends with slow introductions. Cats? Unknown. Kids? Also unknown, but with his marshmallow personality, we’re pretty confident he’ll charm any small human who wanders his way. He’s fully vaccinated and available for foster, too — because everyone deserves to borrow a cuddle muffin sometimes. If you want a sweet, silly, sweater-loving best friend who doubles as a weighted blanket, Bobby is your guy!
