Story
I've had Poo Bear and his brother Chaco for about 5 years, since they were 8 weeks old. Over those 5 years we have crossed the country countless times in my bus and have had no more than 3 fights, and they always had been quick to make up and be friends again, until about a week ago they got into it and just haven't gone back to normal. They snarl at eachother, hackles go up, etc. Since then I have had to keep them separate there is no way I will be able to take them with me on the road again. Poo Bear just needs a good home, lots of walks and he loves to go for rides, he is great in the car, he's been a road dog his whole life.

Story
Chimaera is a sweet, confused girl who was adopted as a baby and recently came back. Both times she has been with us have been after being abandoned. She isn't sure what she's doing wrong but she really hopes her next family loves her enough to keep her. She loves other dogs but doesn't have a lot of dog experience (her play group was pretty awkward but she tried really hard!) and she would benefit from an easy going playful friend to show her how it's done!

Story
Jack is a big, goofy lab/boxer mix who came to the shelter as a stray. He had a chip but we were unable to find his owner. He's a happy go lucky boy looking for an active family. Being cooped up at the shelter has been hard on him and he really needs a yard to run in or a family who can get him the exercise he needs. Jack loves other dogs but will probably be a lot for gentle dogs. He's a rough and tumble, chase me kind of guy! He's eager to please and food motivated, and if you can get his attention, he's ready to learn! Jack has been adopted and returned twice for what sounds like bad manners. He needs a family willing to put in the time to teach him better outlets for his enthusiasm. He's going top be an amazing dog for someone willing to put in a little extra work!

Story
Clyde and his sister Claire are two cute shepherd puppies who came to the shelter when their owner lost his home and could no longer care for him. They are typical friendly, happy puppies who will do well in homes where they can get the exercise and training they need to grow up to be the best pups ever! They should do well in with sturdy kids and would enjoy a dog friend to play with!

Fran (in foster)

American Pit Bull Terrier Border Collie

Female, Adult
Mason, MI
Size
(when grown) Large 61-100 lbs (28-45 kg)
Details
Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Fran is a cute little pibble mix (looks like a pit bull but plays like a border collie!) who came to the shelter as a stray. She loves people and wants to be so close that she tends to be underfoot or walking touching you at all times. (Probably not a good fit for small children or adults who aren't steady on their feet). She loves other dogs and does some really cute spins! She's not the bravest girl, but she's trying really hard! Update from foster: "She's doing great with the dogs and kids. If you have cats, she will need to be watched with them. She definitely just wants to play with them but the cats in our home stand their ground. If she is around a cat that runs away she might chase them a little. She has had no accidents since the first few days so she seems to be potty trained!"

Story
Jersey is a big goofy boy with the best ears! He was found as a stray on the north side of Lansing with his friend Grindylow. He's a little thin and neglected looking but with some time and good food he'll be a very handsome boy in no time! He loves other dogs and would really enjoy a playful friend in his new home!
