Story
Hello everyone my name is sugar. I am a 2.5 years old male cocker spaniel. I have traveled a couple different states in my two years. I was born in Illinois and lived in Indiana before I came to the great rescue of CNR in Michigan. My foster family says I’m a good boy but very scared. Once I get to know you and realize that you aren't going to harm me, I come out of my shell and will really open up. My foster dad says I’m his little shadow. I am a pretty laid back doggie. I prefer laying on the floor on a mat or blanket. Don’t care for couches or the bed unless there is a storm outside then I will cuddle with you to make sure you are safe. I’m really good on a leash but my family says I’m a little nervous. With more walks I’m sure I’ll love it. I’m good with my two foster sister doggies. There are also two cats I live with here that I don’t have an issue with but one isn’t very nice to me not sure why though. I was never taught that sharing is caring so I have some resource guarding issues so it would be best that i can be in a home without a crate because that is where my biggest issue lies. I might growl if i have a toy but with some work my foster parents think I can over come this. However, i don't guard my food or water. I even can share a bowl of water at the same time with my foster sisters. I am house broken having no issues going in the house. If interested please feel an application out and my fosters will find the perfect home for me. Peace out your friend Sugar. Fill out an application today on our website! I was taken from the big city shelter in the nick of time. I am cuddly, extroverted and curious. i will chase cats, and am a bit "high strung" to be in a home with kids. Other dogs are fine, especially my own size. I would also do good as a single dog. I AM IN HOUSTON TEXAS AND TRANSPORT WILL BE ARRANGED TO YOUR AREA.

Story
My humans were deported and left me to fend for myself. I am now enjoying regular meals and a clean environment. I will be your loyal companion but give me a few days to bond with you. Children move too fast for my taste, so a quiet home with adults will be best. NOTE: I AM IN HOUSTON AND TRANSPORT TO YOUR AREA WILL BE ARRANGED.

Story
i adopted bmo to become my service animal/ emotional support animal, two years ago. in those two years i have found my best friend in him, we are attuned to each others emotions and schedules and know each others quirks. bmo is not a dog he’s a best friend, he’s a companion. he’s a calm yet energetic baby, one that expresses his emotions outwardly, is communicative of his needs, he loves attention, a routine, and more attention. his perfect home consists of people and other pets who adore him and can give him enough attention. he gets along with everyone and all animals, he’s energetic at first but when he calms down he is a very timid and sleepy. his quirks do include ones that need to be said. he has separation anxiety and requires a kennel when alone, he is not too good on a leash, he gets into things. nonetheless, bmo isn’t a lost cause when it comes to these issues. he is highly food motivated and able to be trained with treats and a clicker and lots of reassurance!
