Story
These are my brothers dogs. But due to his busy work schedule he is having a hard time taking care of the dogs. They are very energetic and would do good in a home with plenty of space to run around. They are a bonded pair and need to be taken together. They also have separation anxiety and would be better in a home with someone around quite often. They are kennel trained.

Story
Marla (born in April 2018) is an exquisite German Shepherd in search of a dedicated and patient owner. She dreams of finding a loving home that can offer her the stability she needs to conquer her fears and embark on a journey towards a brighter future! While Marla envisions a life as the center of attention in a new household, there is a possibility for her to adjust to living with other dogs given a proper introduction. She may feel anxious around dogs in general and would benefit from multiple visits with her potential adopter. To ensure Marla's peace of mind, it is recommended that she be placed in a child-free environment as young children and highly energetic dogs tend to overwhelm her. Additionally, a secure 6-foot fence is essential as she has the ability to effortlessly leap over a 4-foot fence. With a well-structured routine, positive reinforcement, and the guidance of a professional trainer, we firmly believe that Marla will flourish into a remarkable companion. If you feel that Marla could be the perfect fit for your family, please take the first step by completing an application to meet this endearing sweetheart! Adoptions for Marla are limited to the area within 50 miles of the Omaha/Council Bluffs area so the pet can continue to take advantage of free training from our certified positive reinforcement trainer. The suggested adoption donation for Marla is $250.  We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Your donation goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, as well as providing supportive services to animals in homes. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dog’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dog’s needs. If you and the dog are not a good match, we will help you select another dog, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Meet Mallory, a stunning Belgian Malinois Mix born in July 2017. Mallory has faced challenges in the past that have made her cautious around people, but this has only made her more appreciative of those who show her kindness. While she may take some time to build trust, her loyalty and intelligence shine through once a bond is formed. Mallory is open to the idea of sharing her forever home with a furry companion or two, with the condition that introductions are done thoughtfully to ensure a harmonious living situation for all. While she welcomes the company of dogs, Mallory prefers to be the sole focus and would thrive in a household without human or feline siblings. Are you prepared to embrace this bright and perceptive girl into your family? Take the first step by submitting your application today and discover the true meaning of loyalty! All dogs adopted through Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue receive the invaluable benefit of lifetime free behavior training from our skilled Positive Reinforcement/Relationship-based trainers. For a seamless and successful transition, Mallory will be enrolled in training sessions at the time of adoption and will continue with scheduled sessions post-adoption to ensure her continued growth and well-being. Story
Rocco, born in December 2018, is an intelligent Terrier mix, tipping the scales at around 40 lbs. Initially reserved around strangers, Rocco quickly warms up once he gets to know you, revealing his affectionate and clever nature. The ideal setting for Rocco would be a loving home where he is the sole four-legged companion, as he values his toys and meals without sharing, alongside a secure fenced yard to explore and play in. Rocco is adept at being crate-trained and is a joy to be around feline pals. His future adopter will play a vital role in helping Rocco overcome his fears, and with dedication and patience, Rocco is sure to blossom into an even more remarkable companion. If this pet is not spayed or neutered at the time of adoption due to limited vetting availability, a voucher will be given to the adopter for a free spay/neuter procedure at Val Verde Animal Hospital. Spay/neuters completed elsewhere will be reimbursed $100/dog or $55/cat once proof of alteration has been received by Muddy Paws. Alterations are REQUIRED for all Muddy Paws adoptions. The adoption contract states alters must be done within ONE month of the adoption date or the adopter will be in breach of the contract. Adopters are required to provide proof of alteration to Muddy Paws Rescue immediately following the procedure. Thank you in advance for your compliance. Oscar

German Shorthaired Pointer Hound (Unknown Type)

Needs special attention, House-trained, Spayed or Neutered, Shots are up-to-date,
Story
Being a German Shorthair & Hound mix, you can imagine that ol' Oscar is a lover of the outdoors! This sweet boy was born in May of 2015 and is still looking for a place to call his own. Oscar enjoys being around people, especially ladies, but he understands what it's like to need some space: your time, my time, and our time! Oscar experiences anxiety and because of this, boundaries are important to him. When his anxiety is low, Oscar is a goofy, playful boy who likes to chase balls, sticks, and rabbits. He loves, loves, loves long walks with plenty of time to let his hound nose get some exercise, and lots of exercise helps work off that extra energy that can make this handsome boy nervous! Because of his love for exploration, Oscar will need a fenced-in yard to keep him close to home. Oscar is not kennel trained, but is totally fine being left to lounge around the house while you're away; he's also housetrained so no worries about that business! Oscar is a very smart dog who knows "sit", "stay", "lay down", "leave it" and he also knows that when he follows these fun words he gets really yummy treats! Oscar's ideal home will be with an active person/couple who love to explore nature, just like he does, and who will love him like family while respecting his need for boundaries and independence! The suggested adoption donation for Oscar is $315.
