Story
Shes has a happy go lucky persona all the time. Shes potty trained to use pads in the house. She does Sit and down but have not had much time to work beyond that. Shes a bit shy but friendly. Shes always at the front door watching over us all and barks a bit when she hears people outside. Only reason for rehoming her. We had an accidental pregnancy about 9 months ago when my wife was out of work. We are at our limit in our county for how many pets we can have. She has been already given initial shots and is Spay. That cost us around 400.00 couple months back. She weighs about 50 lbs and should be done growing is about 10 months old now. We had DNA testing done she is mostly Lab but has mixed Healer in her as you can tell buy her coloring. We have her dad still 8 years now and another 3-year-old from original purchase still with us both been a great dog and very social once you work with them. She likes to lick your face a lot.

Story
Freya has been our sweet girl for almost 6 years now, she is very loving and has always been a good dog. She has been house trained since she was a small puppy, we brought Freya home when she was 4 weeks old so she has only known us so it's very hard on us that we have to give her a new home. She plays well with other dogs, she just needs time with a new dog to fully settle with them. She has never bitten us or others and she has been around our 2 small children since they were born. We can provide any information you need from us to get Freya the home she needs and the love she deserves. Thank you!

Story
Donahue came to the city pound as a stray and was never claimed. We can't figure out why! He is so affectionate and listens very well. Don takes treats nicely and loves to take walks. Having good leash manners he is a volunteer favorite. He will kennel when asked and sit for treats. Don is a large fella and is durable enough for long runs/walks and exploring but he is also content to follow you around the yard and relax on the couch next to his person. He is easy to handle and is treat and praise motivated so learning routines and new tricks should be easy. He has played well with dogs 35 pounds and larger (we don't have small dogs to test him with). With slow introductions and supervision he would probably do well with any size dog. We feel he would not do well with cats. He is too fixated on their movements and doesn't redirect easily. We feel Don would be good around children because is calm and super friendly. It's always a good idea for children to be respectful of any dogs' body, space and food. We are guessing him at 2-3 years old. Donahue is a great dog with lots of love to offer. If you adore large dogs and can give Don the life he deserves, please email mdowney@iowatelecom.net for an appointment to meet him.

Story
Marla (born in April 2018) is an exquisite German Shepherd in search of a dedicated and patient owner. She dreams of finding a loving home that can offer her the stability she needs to conquer her fears and embark on a journey towards a brighter future! While Marla envisions a life as the center of attention in a new household, there is a possibility for her to adjust to living with other dogs given a proper introduction. She may feel anxious around dogs in general and would benefit from multiple visits with her potential adopter. To ensure Marla's peace of mind, it is recommended that she be placed in a child-free environment as young children and highly energetic dogs tend to overwhelm her. Additionally, a secure 6-foot fence is essential as she has the ability to effortlessly leap over a 4-foot fence. With a well-structured routine, positive reinforcement, and the guidance of a professional trainer, we firmly believe that Marla will flourish into a remarkable companion. If you feel that Marla could be the perfect fit for your family, please take the first step by completing an application to meet this endearing sweetheart! Adoptions for Marla are limited to the area within 50 miles of the Omaha/Council Bluffs area so the pet can continue to take advantage of free training from our certified positive reinforcement trainer. The suggested adoption donation for Marla is $250.  We are a 501c3 organization which means that your donation may be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. Your donation goes toward the high cost of veterinary care for our animals in rescue, as well as providing supportive services to animals in homes. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application is approved, we will put you in touch with the dog’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the pet. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver. Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each dog, based on the dog’s needs. If you and the dog are not a good match, we will help you select another dog, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months. Story
Meet Mallory, a stunning Belgian Malinois Mix born in July 2017. Mallory has faced challenges in the past that have made her cautious around people, but this has only made her more appreciative of those who show her kindness. While she may take some time to build trust, her loyalty and intelligence shine through once a bond is formed. Mallory is open to the idea of sharing her forever home with a furry companion or two, with the condition that introductions are done thoughtfully to ensure a harmonious living situation for all. While she welcomes the company of dogs, Mallory prefers to be the sole focus and would thrive in a household without human or feline siblings. Are you prepared to embrace this bright and perceptive girl into your family? Take the first step by submitting your application today and discover the true meaning of loyalty! All dogs adopted through Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue receive the invaluable benefit of lifetime free behavior training from our skilled Positive Reinforcement/Relationship-based trainers. For a seamless and successful transition, Mallory will be enrolled in training sessions at the time of adoption and will continue with scheduled sessions post-adoption to ensure her continued growth and well-being.
