Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Duke is a dog who wants to devote himself to his human. Almost every single day either Duke's foster mom or foster dad says, 'Duke is a really good dog!' - because he is! Please be sure to check out the video clip below. He is a well behaved, good looking fellow. Duke has been in his foster home for several months now and his disposition has been exemplary. Although he is definitely into lizards and squirrels his recall is amazingly good and he will run to you and sit down right in front of you. Most often he has a happy grin on his face. He also crates very well as long as there's a promise of at least a small treat for him when he goes in. His crate is where he has his meals and sleeps at night. House training has been excellent from day one. Duke is moderate energy but really needs a fenced yard and he could jump a 4 ft fence easily. He does like to run but also enjoys just lying about surveying his property and watching for the squirrels and lizards! He loves affection and, although he doesn't pester or beg for it, he's ready anytime you are! Duke is wonderful at just curling up next to you on the couch, content to be at your side. He has done well with numerous dogs in his foster home but does better with females and would be just fine as an only dog.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 10:45 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Vinny's journey is one of true resilience. With a past shadowed by fear and uncertainty, he has found his way into the warmth of a loving foster home. His gentle spirit shines through with every wag of his tail. Wary at first, he was cautiously approaching for a quick lick or sniff and now, although still tentative, he is seeking affection and reassurance, opening his heart to his foster dad's kindness. Vinny definitely enjoys playful romps with the other dogs and loves being outdoors. His housebreaking manners and lack of destructiveness when left outside of his crate when Dad is gone for an hour or two speaks volumes about his inherent desire to please. Vinny is becoming the dog he was meant to be! Though adjustment challenges lie ahead when he goes to a new home,  Vinny's journey is one of hope and optimism. Vinny has just been treated for his heartworms and is recovering well. You know better he will require a fenced yard and would do best in a home with another friendly and playful dog.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 10:45 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Kris is everything beagle but so easy to live with. He loves to be outside smelling everything and does have a beautiful beagle bay when on a scent. He's very obedient though, so his foster mom lets him do his thing for a bit and then brings him inside. Kris loves mealtime but has no issues with sharing his bowl! He's very good with other dogs. He sleeps on the sofa, in a lounge chair or in a dog bed - wherever, and he doesn't mind if another houndie wants to share his space. Kris has also begun to take an interest in squeaky toys. He will run around with them in his mouth and then take them all outside. :) Kris came to us in mid April from a wonderful rescue organization in Mississippi. He is estimated to be about 14 years old but his activity level is perfect for his age - moderate with plenty of time to relax and smell the roses. He is positive for heartworms but the advice of more than one veterinarian is not to treat. SEBR will provide a special medical package with Kris's adoption.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 10:45 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Louie was a breeder beagle and he's been in his Louisiana foster home since the end of July. It took him a little while to settle into such a different lifestyle but he's coming along. At first he was not totally comfortable with the other dogs , but he's finally making friends and has actually started to be playful with some of the other dogs now. Louie has also shown a fondness for his foster mom's shoes and socks. He is a very loving dog and very much enjoys getting petted. Louie is neutered and heartworm negative. He will come to Florida as soon as we either have a foster home or a potential adopter for him.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 10:45 pm

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.COMING SOON TO FLORIDA Boo is a happy, bouncy girl with a moderate energy level who loves to run and jump and play. However, because her past life was rough, she doesn't really let that joyful part of her shine until she is sure she is safe. Her trust comes much easier with women than men, and she is greatly reassured by the presence of another friendly dog - and she seems to really like bigger dogs. If the other dog is getting affection, she is much more likely to step up to get some as well...although she is very respectful of the other dog when she does. Once she trusts her humans, she LOVES to be petted. :)) Boo also enjoys toys and a good game of tug, but doesn't tear her toys up. She loves her crate and will run in there anytime she is unsure - it is her safe place. Currently she is crated at night and also during the day when the family is away from home. Boo can be a little uncertain about going through doors, but she does well on leash. She is also doing well with house training. Boo is heartworm negative and ready for her forever family, but we either need a foster home or a potential adopter in Florida in order to set up transportation for her to come.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 4, 2024, 10:45 pm
