Story
Who doesn't want something "Major" in their house? Major is a year old pure bred German Shepherd and we have the certificate to prove it. We are looking for a foster, foster to adopt or forever home for this young perfect specimen of his breed. Major does great with cats. He gets weekly baths locally here in Florida at Bark Suds. He has been boarded locally at Paws Inn Paradise and they love him there. He has been through training at Sit Means Sit in St. Petersburg. He does well on car rides and at group training. He is very active and is very treat, food, toy, and verbal praise motivated. He loves it all! Major does well in his crate during the day and throughout the night. He is up to date on vaccines and he has no health conditions. He is not neutered as it was not recommended for his breed until 18-24 months. He eats Royal Canin German Shepherd Puppy food and has been given glucosamine for his joints and fish oil supplements for his coat. Overall, Major has been well loved and taken care of. The adoption fee for this pet covers the cost of care and training which may have been for several weeks or several months depending on the health and training needs. The fee also covers all vet bills during this time to ensure his/her health is improved or maintained and provides you with assurance that this dog has been well cared for while in our possession and evaluated to meet your home's needs. Included in this fee is also life- long training support provided by PLAY! K9 Academy located in Bradenton, FL as well as Life time microchip registration. When you adopt from a local shelter, you may not receive any medical history for this dog nor will you receive any behavioral history. We hope you understand that the minimal adoption fee we are asking is to continue our mission to rescue unwanted herding and working breeds from shelters/owners and get them adopted to their forever home. PLAY! K9 Rescue will pay for the spay/neuter of this adopted dog. The spay/neuter must be done at a clinic or veterinarian's office approved by PLAY! K9 Rescue. If the adopter chooses to take the pet to their own veterinarian for the spay/neuter procedure, PLAY! K9 Rescue will refund the cost equivalent to an approved PLAY! K9 Rescue veterinarian or clinic. All of our unaltered pets have a fully refundable deposit of $150.00 included within the adoption fee. Once the pet is altered at the appropriate time and proof supplied to our rescue, the adopter will be reimbursed $150.00. Our adoption contract explains this process in detail. Please note, we will not approve an adoption to individuals or families residing in rental apartments. Typically, apartment complexes have pet policies on restricted breeds and weights which includes German Shepherd Dogs, Dutch Shepherds, Belgian Malinois, bully breeds, etc. These dog breeds are not breeds that will thrive in an apartment setting regardless of the management pet policy. Our adoption policy is non-negotiable.

Story
Sunny Bunny is a sweet, affectionate little character with a joyful spirit. She loves car rides and lights up with excitement when she gets to run free at the dog park - that’s the only time you’ll hear her bark! At home, she’s a cuddle bug who sleeps soundly through the night in bed and showers you with kisses. Sunny has a funny little habit of hiding her snacks for later, and she never misses a meal. She gets along well with other dogs and, after a few minutes, happily welcomes pets from new people. She’s a loving companion with a playful streak and a big heart. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. All adoption fees go to help all the dogs in the rescue, some of which require extensive medical care. Thank you for caring for the greater good. Adoption fee is $350 and you can adopt me at WWW.POLKADOGZ.ORG ##2369330##

Story
Willow is a sweet, shy senior girl who’s slowly learning to open up and trust. She’s happiest simply following her foster mom around the house and curling up nearby for a nap when it’s time to relax. While car rides are still new to her, she’s learning that every trip ends with coming back home. Willow coexists peacefully with other dogs and cats, though she mostly keeps to herself. She’s currently watching her diet to shed a few extra pounds and uses training pads indoors or goes outside when needed. She’s not fond of walking on a leash and would much prefer a quiet home without the bustle of children. If you’re looking for a calm, low-key companion who just wants to be your quiet shadow, Willow is your girl. PLEASE NOTE: All your current pets must be spayed/neutered, vaccinated and on heartworm prevention to adopt from Polka Dogz. We only adopt in Florida. Story
Bentley is a 3 year old male Shih Tzu that spend his last life in a crate outside. After a well needed groom and socialization with his new foster family he is ready for a new forever home! He gets along with all dogs and is now trying to play with his fosters Dogs. He loves to go for walks and car rides. He’s a little shy at first, but when he comes up to you, you know, he wants to be your friend and wants some loving.🥰 He will often walk to the door if he wants out, but if you don’t catch him, he might have an accident in the house. He always goes pee, pee outside. Right now, his favorite spot to sleep is with his foster daddy, but he will often just perch up on a chair and sleep there to observe his surroundings. He does like to jump on furniture to get the vantage point of seeing what’s going on around him. DOB: 4/20/2023 Adoption fee includes DHPP vaccine, Rabies vaccine (if age appropriate) heartworm testing, spay/neuter surgery, deworming, wellness vet visit, one month of pet insurance and microchip. All animals are examined by a veterinarian. Please fill out our application at https://gkarma.wufoo.com/forms/good-karma-pet-rescue-dog-adoption-screening/ if you would like to adopt or meet this dog, and we will be in touch right away!
