Story
11/9/24. Come on, folks! It's me, BETH, and I have been here for 7 months waiting for my forever family. Surely there's someone out there for me. I may not be a purebred Dobie, but I'm 100% lovebug. I am 3 years old, playful, loving, smart, walk nicely on a leash, and ride well in a car. When I meet you, I will probably just roll on my back for a belly rub. I like other calm male dogs or am content being the only princess in the home. PLEASE keep sharing me. I want to go home! 10/2/24.  This absolutely adorable 3 vr old dobie rottie mix from MDAS is hoping October is her lucky month to find her family. BETH is a joyful girl that loves to play and then cuddle with her humans. She loves to roll on her back for belly rubs. She walks well on a leash, rides nicely in car and knows basic commands. She is great with older children/ teens. She is dog selective, may be best as only princess. No cats. 8/6/24.  Beautiful BETH still waiting on her furever family. This 3 year old Dobie Rottie mix is a playful bundle of joy. Walks lovely on leash. She is dog selective but would probably be best as only princess in house.  Cats unkown 5/20/24 update  Meet Beautiful BETH! This all natural 2-3year old dober girl is sweet as sugar. She adores everyone she meets, will roll over for a belly rub, and likes to play in the water. She has a wonderful calm temperament. Good with other dogs and children. Cats unkown as she is from MDAS. 5/15/24.  Meet Beth! This three year old all natural dober girl is 100% lovebug! She is very friendly and loving with everyone she meets. While we have not had a chance to try her with other dogs yet, she appears very calm and non reactive. She likes kids. She will make a loyal companion to one lucky family.Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). Story
10/30/24.   5-year-old CALI was such a good sport, letting me put different costumes on him. He is such a sweet boy who has been through so much and really deserves a loving, kind foster/adopter. He is good with older children and calm, non-threatening dogs. Please, let's help CALI find his home. 9/24/24  Hi everybody, my name is CALI and I really NEED your help finding my forever family or a foster until I can find my family.  I love everyone I meet, am good with children and like most other dogs. A bit about my backstory - I was owned by a terrible man who gave me an awful derogatory name and would just open a 40lb bag of food and throw it on the ground for me to eat. I lived outside and was never given bowls for food or water. Neighbors complained that they saw my owner hit me. One day he threw me over the electric fence (said I was too much of a wussy) and told the neighbor he would make sure I couldn't re-enter. Luckily a kindly neighbor who heard what happened came looking for me and I jumped right in her car. She tried to find me a home for a few years but unfortunately had no luck and as she was in financial duress herself finally called Doberman rescue where I am now. As I have lived most of my life outside, I will need some training but I am smart and really want to please so will learn quickly if given the chance. I like most other dogs but with my previous owner there were sometimes roaming packs of wild dogs that scared me. That's why I am very stressed at the kennel and need a sheet on my run and it's hard for me to gain weight despite upping my food intake. On my way down here I stayed overnight with a previous DRL adopter and her family. She said I was a very good boy with her 4 other dogs (even the little one) and all her children. Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). Story
10/19/24. Dog of the day is 4-year-old ENZO! This adorable Dober boy is still looking for his forever family. In the 3-plus months he has been with us, he has proven himself to be a sweet, mellow boy who walks nicely on a leash, rides well in the car, and has stolen the hearts of many of our volunteers with his gentle disposition. ENZO lived with other dogs and did well with females, so he may be okay with another female or content to be the only king canine of the house. Please consider ENZO if you’re looking for your new best friend. 07/28/24  Meet ENZO!  This adorable 4 year old big Doberman boy was not getting along with his brother ( both unaltered) and now finds himself in need of a new home.  He can be a bit shy at first meet but once he knows you quickly warms up and just wants to be near you for pets and some affection.  He is very smart and eager to please and will sit and give paw before you ask him. As he is new to rescue we are still getting to know him but no doubt he will make a great addition to right family.  No cats. May be with female dogs with proper introduction we still need to evaluate Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). 11/15/24. RODDY needs your HELP!!! Our adorable 7-month-old honorary Dobie from Puerto Rico is losing his amazing foster this week as she is moving out of state. This sweet and gentle boy is a bit shy but with patience, love, and gentle guidance, he will thrive. He is not only adorable but is very smart too. He does well with our Molly and other dogs outside but would be best as the only king canine in the home. PLEASE if you can foster RODDY or would like to adopt him, he would be ever so grateful. He is petrified in boarding. 08/15/24 His history: From his Rescue All Sato Rescue in Puerto Rico. He was just three weeks old when a friend heard him yelp across a busy street. It was early evening and luckily there wasn't a lot of traffic. She alerted a neighbor and between the two of them, they kept him from crossing and were able to trap him.He was covered with fleas. One of our volunteers was able to get him and take him directly to the vet. He is now free of fleas. He is a playful pup and a fast learner. We estimate his date of birth as April 15. 10/13/24 Roddy is still looking for his furever family .. someone that will love him forever .. he is a 6 1/2 month old Doberman mix who is a total love bug. He loves other dogs small and big.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). Story
10/15/24. BRUNO is wondering why no one has come for him yet. This gorgeous red boy may look imposing, but he’s just a big teddy bear and loves attention. He walks nicely on a leash but is strong, especially if he sees a lizard, so he would do best with an experienced owner or big dog handler. He may do well with another female close to his size. Cats unknown. 08/31/24 Hi folks it’s me BRUNO. I was found in the Redlands with a shock color on and injured leg. Thankfully I am safe with Doberman Rescue and freshly neutered and now looking for my furever home.  I’m about 2 years old and although I might look fierce in my kennel I am as sweet and gentle as can be once out.  I’m happy to listen to your commands and sit loyally by your side.  Since not a lot of history is known on me I am looking for a home with no cats or kids. I may be ok with another calm female dog with proper introduction but the rescue has not tested me yet.  A Doberman savvy or large breed knowledgeable owner would suit me best. So please as you enjoy your Labor Day weekend don’t forget about me.  I’m a good boy ready to go home.  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.Not every dog is available for adoption or need a foster - some are wards of the rescue (usually due to medical reasons, but sometimes behavioral). 10/8/24. This incredibly sweet and docile boy loves everyone he meets, totally non reactive to other dogs, walks well on a leash and is totally house and crate trained. He loves to go on long walks and then just love on his human. Would probably do well with another female dog. He is doing amazing with our awesome foster in an apartment setting but is ready to find his forever home. 9/13/24. Welcome Dominick. He ended up at Collier Shelter in Naples when his owner was incarcerated. Very handsome boy, sweetie pie, knows all commands, walks nice on the leash. His tail doesn’t stop when he see anyone approaching him. We don’t know yet about other dogs.
