Story
Courtesy Post for a rescue partner. We are assisting Greener Side Haven with placing Wolfie ! Wolfie is a striking Siberian Husky/Lab(?) mix. He is about 2 years old and weighs 60 lbs, is neutered, partially housebroken, current on vaccinations, dewormed and has a clean heartworm test. He has a short Lab like coat but Husky markings and that traditional tail curl. Wolfie has a big personality and like many young Huskies can be willful & headstrong, but is very smart. He is a very active dog and will try to escape, so a 6’ privacy fenced yard is required to keep this guy safe. We believe Wolfie would do best with someone who has Siberian breed experience. No small children or small dogs please. For more details and to arrange a meet ‘n greet, please call 352-746-3545. If you have questions about the Siberian breed feel free to email us at: foccas@tampabay.rr.com More pics of Wolfie can be found here: https://www.petfinder.com/dog/wolfie-59987955/fl/inverness/foccas-inc-fl1385/

Story
🐾😊Muffins is looking for a Foster to Adopt home😊🐾 😊 We brought this sweetheart into the rescue last Wednesday, and she was supposed to be in a Foster to Adopt home, but they gave up on her in less than 72 hours. This sweet girl has been through so much and it just keeps coming. She was found abandoned in a home with no food or water and feces everywhere. She then spent 7 months in the shelter waiting for the judge to release her for cruelty (Please see video in the comments. ) Now She’s heartworm positive and will need to go through heartworm injections and she has a large growth that needs to be removed from her back. She is just the sweetest girl, who just wants a person of her own!! She is so attached to me after just a couple of days, but I would love for her to settle in where she will remain. Fostering is Free! We pay for food, crate, meds and vet care. You open up your heart and home. Then if you decide to adopt you get a discounted adoption fee. Muffins is a 4 1/2 year old Bulldog/ Shar Pei and weighs 68 lbs. She is overweight and is on a low-fat diet. She is spayed and up to date with vaccines and preventatives. She is potty trained and crate trained, but doesn’t need to be crated. She is small and large dog friendly and cat friendly. She wants to follow her person everywhere as to not lose them!! There must be someone out there that is looking for a special Dog to rescue!! You won’t find a sweeter girl!! Let’s show her that all people aren’t like her original owners and she so deserves a Happily Ever After!! If you live in Citrus County or surrounding areas and are interested in fostering to adopt Muffins please complete an application at rescuedogsdream.com

Story
💔 Sorry Long Post 💔 ❤️ Betty is looking for her FOREVER HOME ❤️ 💔 This sweet girl has had a terrible first 2 years of life !! She was adopted as a cute puppy from Alachua County Animal Control. A little over a year later she was part of a cruelty case in Levy county where she was confiscated only weighing 19 lbs (less than half of what she should have weighed). Who knows what this poor girl endured! 😢After being released in Levy county and putting on some weight she was transferred back to Alachua. She was there for a couple months putting on more weight and trusting humans again. When we pulled a couple smaller pups they told us her story and how even with everything she’s been through she is the sweetest most loving girl, we had to help her find her PERFECT Happily Ever After!! Betty is a 2 year old designer dog and weighs 48 lbs. She is definitely pittie and maybe a little lab and Bassett mixed in, as she has 3/4 legs. Betty is spayed, microchipped, heart worm negative and up to date with vaccines and preventatives. She has the most beautiful eyes that look like gems. 💎 Her fur is a brownish black that looks like velvet. Betty is the sweetest girl and follows her foster Mom everywhere. She is potty trained, crate trained and dog friendly. She would love to go on a casual walk or snuggle and binge Netflix. She is calm for a young dog and will make some lucky family a PERFECT companion!! She is in a loving foster home in Crystal River, Florida. If you are interested in giving this beautiful girl her Forever Home that she so deserves, please go to our website at rescuedogsdream.com and complete an application. Background Check, reference and vet checks will be completed prior to meeting.

She is working on potty training and is crate trained. She walks well on a leash and loves to ride in the car. She is very playful and dog friendly. Story
Sometimes the hardest dogs to see at the shelter are the ones who have never known anything else but a home. Howie is 5 years old, and until recently he had been with the same family his entire life. Due to a change in their living situation, he now finds himself starting over and hoping someone new will give him the second chance he deserves.Howie is a friendly, playful boy who enjoys being around people and being part of everyday life. He has lived with men, women, and even very young children, and he’s used to spending his days both inside the home and outside exploring a fenced yard.He already knows some of the basics like sit, lay down, and shake, and his previous family said one of their favorite things about him is that he listens when called.Howie enjoys running, exploring, and playing — but more than anything he just wants to be part of a family again.Right now he’s waiting at the shelter, hoping the next person who walks through the door might be his person.Howie is neutered, microchipped, heartworm tested, and vaccinated. He weighs 67 pounds. Citrus County Animal Services, 4030 S. Airport Rd., Inverness, FL. ID# 60630082. Come meet Howie. His next chapter could start with you.
