Ranger is ready for a running partner! This very active, friendly as can be 20 mo old, 63lb boy would be the ultimate exercise partner! He loves to get out and explore everything around him. He is a happy, silly boy so he may try to stop and greet new people when you’re on a walk. When you’re talking to him, he will go into a play bow, thinking he can distract you from calling him to come inside. He’s so goofy! It’s so hard to believe he hasn’t yet found his own, forever home! He has lived in a shelter like environment for literally half his young life so far, so he desperately deserves a home of his own. He’s absolutely wonderful with other dogs so another large, playful, friendly dog in the home would be best. He must also have a large dog experienced person that will continue his training. Ranger is very affectionate so someone that is ok with lots of cuddles is also a must. He is crate trained and can be left home line for up to 6 hrs without a potty break. He must have a 5ft or higher securely fenced yard. If you would like to to meet this wonderful boy please email k9cabbie@gmail.com and include your phone number.  Adoption fee is $200.December 11, 2024, 12:46 pm

Story
MEET DARLA! Darla is a sweet and gentle 6-year-old purebred Doberman Pinscher. (Purebred verified by DNA testing). She is elegant, pretty and very affectionate -- and she gets along great with other dogs. Darla was rescued from a crowded California shelter, and now is a big favorite with volunteers, who call her a "real sweetheart". She is a well-behaved girl, but is quite strong, and will pull when she sees squirrels on a walk! Darla is in good health. She dos have a small lump on her underside, but this has been vet-checked and determined to be a benign fatty tumor, not a source of potential trouble. Darla will be totally devoted to her person. She is a gem and whomever adopts her will be very lucky. She weighs about 65 lbs. Please email for an application.

Story
MEET CARTER! Carter is a 3- to 4-year-old male Doberman-German Shepherd mix (50/50 per DNA testing) who needs a foster or forever home! He looks more like a Dobie than a German Shepherd, and is sweet as they come! Carter was rescued from a scary California shelter, where he was kenneled with another dog and did great. He loves other dogs and is a joy with people, always having a smile to go. He still has some puppy energy, but calms down quickly. He's sweet and affectionate, and very intelligent. He would do best in a home with an active person, people or family with older kids. He would make an ideal family dog. He weighs about 65 lbs. Please email for an application.

Story
Meet Brody! Sweet Brody is an 8 month old Doberman. He is a sweet boy and very friendly with everyone he meets. He gets along wonderfully with other dogs too. Brody came to us because he was scheduled to be euthanized in an overcrowded shelter. We could not let this happen! Brody was received by the shelter after his owners tried to crop his ears. They botched it and his ears became very infected. He was taken to a vet who had to repeat the crop, but there was so much damage that Brody essentially does not have any ears left. He is otherwise healthy and in good shape. He is a big boy, strong and athletic as most Dobermans are. He needs some training since he has clearly had none, but he is very responsive.  We hope to find him a family who will love his unique look and who will show him that humans are kind. We prefer to place him with families who have older kids only. He is a big boy in need of some training.  Brody will be vaccinated, chipped and neutered. His adoption fee is $495. We cover the medical to prepare the pet for adoption and the adopt donations go directly to cover those costs and range from $295-$495.  Thank you for stepping up to save a life! To expedite to meet with this dog, please go to our site at www.savinggreatanimals.org and fill out an application. We look at the first applications to arrive, so we hope to hear from you soon!
