Story
Meet Easton! He is currently 16 weeks old, 18 lbs, and we think he may be a miniature pinchser/Lab mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! Based on his current age and size we think he will be medium sized when full grown. Watch Easton's video here: * coming soon * Easton is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. He loves to play with his sibling and then take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat - such is puppy life! Easton is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6761ad34a91f9c836508885f Please email Leah.Smith@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $1,200.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Story
Lily, or as her foster mom calls her, Lovey is a soft, sweet and precious girl with loads of love to give and an unmatched attentiveness to her people. The cutest thing about her? She loves to hug! We believe that Lovey is a Doberman, Rottweiler mix, she is a rescue, so her exact lineage cannot be guaranteed. Lily Lovey is estimated to be around 3 years old. Get to know Lily here: https://youtu.be/EovVE1aId00?feature=shared Lily currently resides in a quiet countryside home here in Texas with her loving foster mom. She loves her outside time, and likes to roll around in the grass. She’s learning basic commands from her foster mom, and even has a good grasp on hand commands! Her foster mom reports that she loves to snuggle, and has great house manners. She seems to be potty trained and doesn’t have indoor accidents in her foster home or at the rescue. Lily is still learning her leash manners, but with a little polishing, she’ll be a pro on leash in no time. She’s food motivated and takes treats gently. With other dogs, Lily is gracious and kind. She’s not jealous when other dogs get attention, she shares love well. She’s not overly playful with other dogs quite yet, but that may change in a home. Lily is playful with her humans and adores toys. She likes her stuffies the best but loves tennis balls too. Lily is ready to meet you, and knowing her- it will be love at first sight. Lily meets everyone with sweetness and affection. We could see Lily living in a home with other dogs, or as an only-child, soaking up all of your affection. Lily would love a home with a yard because she so values her outside time. We are willing to test Lily with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. Story
Maggie is the playful, gentle, friendly dog that you dreamt about when you were a kid. Just the right size to hop in the car and go, the kind that makes you laugh by just being her playful self, right by your side, and the first one your guests want to see when they walk in. Sorry, it had to be said, she is going to be popular in the friend group. She has a presence that just fits right in and feels lovingly familiar. Estimated to be just over 3 years old, Maggie strikes the perfect balance between sensible and mature with a young-pup enthusiasm for all things fun. Car-rides, dogs, chase, walks, snacks…all things Maggie declares fun and fun is her favorite. Don’t worry though, fun does not mean busy. She knows how to chill. In fact one of the first things I fell in love with about her is how quickly she brings herself back to calm following a moment of excitement. Whether she got excited about meeting a new dog or getting a belly rub, she goes from whole-body wiggles to sitting at your feet in literal seconds, on her own. That level of self-awareness and self-regulating is impressive and often takes time and training to achieve. You will see it in her get-to-know Maggie video here -https://youtu.be/RYypMdIXWuo Maggie has earned a very coveted Office Dog gold-star at our rescue office for being perfect free-roaming company, welcoming when someone comes into our directors office, with a perfect sense of when a stretched out nap is on the schedule. Our director shared that one of the cutest things Maggie does is while she is at her desk typing away, Maggie will gently position her head so she can nibble on her ring to suggest maybe its time for a play break. She understands when to wait though, never pushy she may give you another nudge to be sure you won’t take the bait then she will go lay down. Plus, and almost most importantly- Maggie is fully house and crate trained. Whether allowed to free roam for stretches of the day or crated during construction projects in the building, she has never had an accident. She is perfect, I could stop there and she would be a 10 out of 10. Maggie was introduced to a handful of dogs, varying sizes and energy levels, so we could see her play style and the type of dog she enjoys most. Just like people, dogs have preferences and types. Her “type” is best described as a mid-level energy male who enjoys chase but doesn’t mind that she will almost always win. While we introduced her to dogs, in a variety of ways, we saw that her enthusiastic friendliness can sometime lead her to bark at approaching dogs, almost like she is saying “ hey, wanna play?” She is attentive to correction and easy on-leash, so with a quick reminder that we don’t “yell” at our friends, she will be right back to quiet companion. When approaching people she gets equally excited at the possibility of pets and belly rubs but you won't hear a bark, you will see the excitement in her body as she wiggles and sometimes melts. The body language is clear, I am friendly, pleased to meet you and ready for a belly rub or kiss. Your choice. This was in fact the same way she approached a 4 year old she was meeting for the first time. She was mindful of his size, gentle and calm, while letting him know she was open for love. What we loved seeing was how she allowed him to put his arm around her neck and even though she wanted to kiss him and shower him with love, she held it together and let him lead. He made her biscuit and cheese sandwiches, according to him they are her favorite, and it honestly took him forever in dog-waiting-for-treat time, but she sat there patiently waiting for her sandwich then took it soooo gently when it was served. Seriously!? Maggies love of play and connection is best suited for kids 5ish +, she wants to interact and engage, play and make memories. The ideal home for Maggie would be one with a yard and a medium energy male dog to romp around with. She’s happiest in a home with a yard and would love a medium-energy male dog to romp around with. While she’s full of love, Maggie isn’t a match for dogs smaller than 25lbs +/-, cats, or farm animals—she just finds them way too interesting and her eager approach to play is not for them! If you’re looking for a dog that is going to make you laugh, feel deeply loved, and be your dog's bestie- Maggie is your girl! Questions? Story
Cutie patootie little snuggly man Chandler is the cutest and sweetest pup you ever did meet. Chandler has this sweet little boy innocence about him that makes you instantly want to take him home and build him up to be the best doggie citizen he can be. He likes to initially pretend like he’s a shy boy but he has so much personality that is just waiting to come out and show the world! One of my absolute favorite things about Chandler is the way he rests his head on your lap and looks up at you with those gorgeous eyes of his with so much love and trust but that’s not the cutest thing about him. His ears have to take that title! Chandler's ears are so bouncy and floppy which makes the best feature for action shots. Before adopting Chandler and bring him home, definitely make sure you have plenty of storage on your phone because you're about to have a plethora of photos of him. Watch his video and see just how sweet this guy is: https://youtu.be/LZk0baU2BE8?si=zUbZo_orYe3_IvWL Chandler is a Doberman Pinscher mix approximately a year old and currently weighs 53 lbs and is full grown. He is a rescue dog and with any rescue, it's always a mystery and we cannot guarantee breed or age. Chandler is very dog friendly and he loves to play! He is a goofy guy in play groups and loves to romp around with his doggy friends. One of his favorite games in play group is when all of the dogs are playing chase with each other. He is the life of the party and you can just see he is having the time of his life. In a home, he will do best with a confident female that is playful and enjoys having a good time or even a goofy aloof male dog. If you don't have other dogs, that's fine too! He does not need the company of another dog to feel comfortable or to keep him entertained. He has been tested with our house cat and went up to sniff him a few times with no issues. We do not know if Chandler has ever lived in a home with a cat before and things could always change once in a home. We do believe that with slow and proper introductions and with a dog savvy cat Chandler has potential of living harmoniously in a home with a cat. Chandler would do best in home with a backyard where he can run around and play, explore all the smells and hangout with his family in the yard. He walks well on a leash and we believe he would even be a good pup to take with you on hiking trials, camping adventures, or if that's not your spend, he'll be happy with leisurely walks throughout the neighborhood. He is very people oriented after that initial meet and will do just about anything for affection. Physical touch is his love language. He'll come up and gently nuzzle you for affection, give you his paw, will sometimes even stand on his hind legs to give you a kiss and a hug, and will lean into you for affection. He loves it so much!! From what he have seen so far, Chandler is potty trained, crate trained, and knows some basic commands such as sit. He is also a quiet guy in his kennel and inside the home. He will lay down and relax while you are working after a good play session or will find a cozy spot next to you on the bed and snuggle. Chandler has been around kids as young as infancy to toddler age and he has done beautifully with both ages. He was not bothered by the running, jumping, and screaming coming from the 4 year old and also took treats from him very gently. Chandler was also un-phased by the 11 month old crawling around, crying and throwing a fit, didn't mess with any of the babies toys, nor did he mind the baby getting in his space. Even with my son's loud and bulky walker coming right at him, Chandler would just walk away and was avoidant of the things that he wasn't fully sure about. He felt comfortable sharing affection and attention with the babies and did not mind sharing his space or even the bed with them. During my son's nap, Chandler jump on the bed with us while he was napping and rested his head on my son's back and almost took a nap with him. Chandler would be a great dog for a family with kids. He was so incredibly gentle with both of them, almost like he knew they were little humans and didn't want to accidentally hurt them. We are willing to test Chandler with anything you need us to in order to ensure it's a perfect match for you. We can make anything happen! Just let us know. You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Hi there! My name is Jamie, and I'm a sweet, playful girl looking for my forever home. I have a beautiful sable-colored coat that's incredibly soft—perfect for petting, which I absolutely love!   When I first arrived at my foster home, I was very shy and scared. But with lots of love and patience, I've blossomed into a friendly pup who loves meeting new people. I enjoy playing with the other dogs and have a great time running around and having fun. I would do great with an active person, walks, runs, hiking and more!   I'm still a puppy, so I need some work and training, but I'm eager to learn. I stay in my crate at night and when needed, and I use a dog door. If you're looking for a loving, playful, active companion, I might just be the perfect match for you!  Can't wait to meet you!  Apply to meet me at https://bit.ly/RRAdoptionApplication  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.January 10, 2025, 7:02 pm

Story
Meet Arlo!Arlo is a 1-year-old Doberman mix with a big heart, a playful spirit, and a lot of love to give. Weighing between 70-80 lbs, this sweet boy is still learning the ropes of being a well-behaved pup, but his progress so far has been amazing.Arlo is crate trained and knows the 'heel' command, though he’s still mastering leash manners and house training. He’s a young, high-energy dog who thrives on exercise and loves running around, especially in a securely fenced yard. His favorite activities include playing tug-of-war and bouncing around like an excited bunny—a sight that will melt your heart! While Arlo is working on building his confidence, he’s already made strides in overcoming his initial anxiety. He’s especially sweet with children and would do great with an active family, ideally one with older kids who can join in his playful antics.Arlo does have a few quirks: he can be reactive with other dogs, doesn’t have strong recall, and needs calming chews for nail trims. But with patience, training, and love, these behaviors can improve as he continues to grow and learn. What makes Arlo truly special is his resilience. Despite experiencing early trauma, he has shown incredible progress and will blossom further in a safe, loving home. His new family will need to help him feel secure and continue his training while embracing his playful, goofy personality. If you’re looking for an energetic, sweet, and loyal companion to share your adventures, Arlo just might be the perfect match!Dogs are not placed on a first-come, first-serve basis. We strive to find the perfect home for each animal. Applications may take up to 48 hours to process. All CAWS animals are fixed, microchipped, and vaccinated. His adoption fee is $200.
