Ziggy is the cutest, happiest boy! Thank goodness for the Good Samaritan who saw him get thrown out of a truck! Can you imagine that that is what someone thought to do?!?! Ziggy LOVES hugs, he desperately wants to feel safe and loved, and then go run around and play fetch and come back for more hugs! Love this boy!!! Look at his adorable “widow’s peak“ hairdo. And those EARS!!!! What great ears he has. If you have TONS of love to share and are looking for a great pup, Ziggy just might be your guy. He is just about a year old, 45 ish pounds, maybe hound, doberman,  shepherd mix, just cute, cute, cute!!! And he is surprisingly heartworm negative! Story
Meet Pacino! &#239&#187&#191Pacino is one big goof of a floppy eared, long-tailed Doberman. This boy will absolutely keep you laughing, Right now he is desperately needing some training but he is incredibly responsive and wants to learn. Pacino was incredibly underweight when we got him. And by the scars on his legs and neck we are pretty sure this boy was kept on a chain on a rough surface most, if not all of his life. He has no manners, to be absolutely honest, but absolutely LOVES to RUN and is full of smiles. Freedom is not wasted on this boy! We are working with him on rules but he would do so much better in a home where things would be consistent. Do you have knowledge and ability to help Pacino become the best boy he can be? He would love to be with a foster or forever home that will teach him to be a great boy. We know he is in there, just needs a little help. Pacino is currently about 70 pounds but still very underweight and is probably around 2-3 years old. If you are interested in fostering or adopting this awesome boy please visit www.scoutshonor.org to fill out the application right away. He needs you! March 8, 2026, 9:28 pm

Story
Meet Madeline! Meet our adorable, quirky little Madeline. We believe she is a dobe mix, but is smaller than most dobes. Madeline is probably 5 years old and weighs right around 50 pounds. She looks like an abstract Doberman,  just a little crooked:) This little girl clearly had a rough beginning. She came to us with very little fur, a nasty skin infection and of course heartworm positive. Her fur is coming back in but she may have some permanent scarring, the infection is gone. Surprisingly, she is heartworm negative Madeline’s hips are a little bit off so she has an awkward, prissy, gait. She likes to run and play but should not be a marathon runner. Supplements and occasional meds are all she needs to keep her happily moving on. Madeline is full of love but does not seem to understand small children so probably best that she go to home with older kids, 10 and up, or an adult only household. If you are interested in fostering or adopting this precious girl please fill out the appropriate application. Scout’s Honor Rescue covers all costs associated with fostering.   Scout's Honor Rescue is a 501c3 whose primary focus is rescuing dogs from the euthanasia list from high kill TX shelters. EIN # is 87-0773073 Follow us on Facebook at www.facebook.com/scoutshonorrescue or Instagram at www.instagram.com/scoutshonorrescue We have multiple ways to donate: Venmo:  @ScoutsHonor-Rescue Paypal: www.paypal.me/scoutshonorrescue   https://scoutshonor.org/take-action/donate/ We are strictly volunteer based, no salaries are paid and 100% of donations go towards rescuing dogs March 8, 2026, 9:28 pm

Story
5 months old Doberman puppy Rhett is a really sweet and stunning boy with beautiful blue eyes. He is good with dogs, cats and kids. He loves to play with his foster siblings and currently learning boundaries. He was rescued with his brother Beau off the streets of Houston. They have been very sweet pups. Rhett is very smart. He knows how to let you know when he has to go potty. He is housebroken completely. He is very loving and extremely loyal. He is very well-behaved, quiet, calm, and obedient. A home with a fully fenced yard is mandatory, as well as parents with breed experience. He lives with many dogs and cats and gets along with everyone. He is currently about 28 lb and growing, fully vaccinated, neutered, and microchipped. He is heartworm negative, and kept on heartworm and flea preventative. Sweet Rhett is being fostered in Houston, but can be transported anywhere, as long as it’s the best home for him. To meet this sweet boy via video chat or in person, please send a completed application via www.savesomesouls.com Yards MUST BE adequately and fully fenced to adopt our pups. We do not accept electric or underground fences. To meet this sweet baby in person or via facetime, please send an application via www.savesomesouls.com. Yards, if any, must be fully and adequately fenced. He is currently in Texas but can travel to any state, including Canada to the right home. Rhett's adoption fee includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter surgery and recovery, heartworm and flea prevention), a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, and Harness. Our dogs are fully assessed by foster parents, vets and behaviorists, as well as videos and video chats are available to observe their manners in public. We are extremely transparent and like to share everything negative and positive with the adopters, to ensure it's a good fit and they are not returned to us, as the trips are very stressful on them. Houston is home to million strays, many who are abandoned, many born on the streets, many who escaped while living in the yard, which is common in Texas. Since our rescue does not get grants that shelters get, we use adoption fee to help the pups and kitties in our care. Your adoption fee goes towards vetting and feeding our long term and permanent fosters, and unadoptable pups, as well as towards the monthly care and preventatives etc of our pets. By adopting one pup from our rescue, you make room for another dog to be rescued our high kill shelter, thus becoming an integral part of our mission to save as many unfortunate dogs off the streets and shelters as possible. So Thank you for choosing to rescue, and not go to a breeder.

Story
Little Dottie is the perfect pocket-sized companion with a big personality! This adorable girl is full of playful charm and brings joy everywhere she goes. With her bright eyes and happy spirit, she’s always ready for fun, cuddles, and being your shadow. Dottie is currently being fostered in Houston but can be transported to several states, including Canada to the right home. Please send an application via savesomesouls.com as the first step to complete the process. Dottie has been through more than a puppy ever should. At only 8 weeks, she and her two siblings were brought to a high kill shelter, from where they were thankfully rescued. Despite being in such a traumatizing environment, Dottie has remained a loving, resilient, and enthusiastic pup who is ready to start her next chapter with a forever family. She has quite high energy level — playful and confident, but also happy to relax and snuggle. Dottie gets along beautifully with other dogs, and kids, making her a fantastic addition to almost any home. She is potty trained and best friends with her foster sister who tolerates all her shenanigans. Dottie is fully vetted, spayed, microchipped, and kept on all preventatives, so she’s completely ready for her forever home. She is currently only 12 lb and is going to become a small breed pup, suitable for apartments and condos, along with houses. This tiny girl has so much love to give and is just waiting for someone to give her the safe, happy life she deserves. If you’re looking for a sweet, active, playful, and devoted little companion, Dottie is your girl. ❤️ Dottie is currently being fostered in New York but can be transported to several states, including Canada to the right home. Please send an application via savesomesouls.com as the first step to complete the process. Dottie is housebroken, leash trained but not crate trained as she has never needed a crate.
