Story
Please contact Tonya Griffith (TMSGriffith@aol.com) for more information about this pet.Posted 6/29/18, and pictures updated 5/10/20 - Callan was surrendered on 4/11/18. An older woman contacted the Smith County, TX Shelter about her young dog. The officer who talked to her, called me to see if I could help, since the shelter cannot take owner surrenders. I had recently had some adoptions, so I told him that he caught me at a good time. He brought the young dog to me later that day, and I didn't get the dog's name from the home, so I named him Callan. I took Callan to the Gresham Veterinary Hospital on 4/13/18 to get vaccinated, he was listed as a Doberman mix, 1.5 years old, weighed 44.6 pounds, and was neutered by Dehart Veterinary Services on 4/14/18.  As of 5/10/20, he weighs 54 pounds. Callan is good with adults and children, loves to play with the other dogs, has a high pitch bark at times when he sees things like squirrels in the trees, is good on a leash, and crate trained.  He loves to be pet, and will put his head on my lap to get pet.  He requires a fenced yard, and is not an apartment dog.  He didn't like to be crated at night, but got better.  I eventually stopped putting him in a crate at night, since he does well outside at night. Callan's adoption fee is $85. Anyone interested in adopting him, please e-mail me at TMSGriffith@aol.com. November 6, 2024, 12:13 am

Story
LOCATION: Boerne, TXDOB: 01/19/2022Hi there! I’m Jojo, and I’m so excited to tell you all about myself!I’m a house-trained and crate-trained girl who’s as well-behaved as they come. You can leave me out alone without worrying about any destruction—I’m a total couch potato! I love car rides and going on errands, especially when we visit dog-friendly stores. I know my basic commands and walk nicely on a leash, making me a great companion for all your adventures. One of my favorite things to do is go on long walks with a long lead so I can sniff, explore, and chase lizards and squirrels. I could watch out the window for hours on end, keeping an eye on the world outside.I have a high prey drive, so I’m not a fan of cats, and I need to be the only dog in the home because I can be a bit unpredictable with other dogs. But don’t worry, I make up for it with my love and loyalty. I absolutely adore cuddling up with my person to watch TV, and if you stop petting me, I’ll gently nudge you to start again.I love meeting new people everywhere I go, and I’m especially fond of kids. If you’re looking for a loving, fun, and cuddly dog to share your life with, I might just be the perfect match for you! Can’t wait to meet you and become your new best friend! Love, Jojo. All of our dogs are altered, if medically possible, fully vetted, micro-chipped, and on heartworm prevention or treatment prior to being adopted.
