Story
Duchess was in a small, high kill shelter when we came across her information. Her eyes were so infected she couldn’t open them and the shelter had posted her as being blind. Our vet discovered that Duchess doesn’t produce tears and the chronic dry eye had been untreated so long her corneas were damaged and infected. This sweet girl was so shut down initially she had to remember what a special dog she is. We are trying our best to save her eyes, she gets 2 types of medicated drops twice a day and artificial tears as often as possible. She’s learned to let her foster clean her eyes and is good about getting her drops. She’s able to see now although not as well as we hope she can as we progress. She will need eye drops ongoing. Duchess now plays with the other dogs in her foster home and enjoys running around her yard. Her very favorite thing is getting attention and spending time with her humans. She just wants to totally devote herself to her human and take care of her family. This girl is a wonderful Doberman and an ambassador for the breed. She is house trained, can use a doggie door or ask to go outside if she doesn't have one. She is fine being left home alone or with her canine friends but would rather go wherever her human is going. She’s great going for rides and would be the perfect travel companion. Duchess is fully vetted - current with vaccines, spayed, on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and is microchipped.

Story
Tierney is just a doll! He is a playful, sweet, engaging boy who is ready to take on the world with his new person. Poor baby found himself on the side of the road dumped by someone. He was starving. He did not know how to find food which is common for dogs dumped and was fortunate someone stopped and picked him up. Since coming to us he has been neutered and received all of his shots and has been on heartworm prevention and has received his microchip. He has been socializing with all of the dogs here at the rescue and he loves to play. He is not aggressive at all but will jump in to try and play with any group that is engaged at the moment. He is Crate trained extremely well! He loves to eat and is a little messy sometimes because he is so enthusiastic given that he was without food for some time, but you can pet him while he's eating and touch him and he is fine with that. He's very trusting and sweet. We crate feed all of our animals to instill in them a sense of safety, and he has really taken to that. He's ready to be part of a family and be the center of someone else's group. Please come to meet him! You won't be sorry.

Story
Tucker     - **Name**: Tucker - **Age**: 2 years old - **Breed**: Doberman - **Gender**: Male (Neutered)   **About Tucker**:   Tucker is a stunning 2-year-old Doberman with a sleek coat and an athletic build that perfectly complements his love for running and playing. This sweet boy has had a tough start in life, not being treated as well as he deserved, but he’s ready to leave that behind and find a loving forever home where he can truly thrive. Tucker is full of energy and would excel in an active home where he can participate in dog sports or other physical activities that keep him moving.   **Special Notes**:   Tucker’s previous experiences have made him eager for affection and stability, and he deserves a home where he will be treated with kindness and respect. He has a strong prey drive, especially when it comes to cats, so a cat-free home would be the best fit for him. Tucker’s new family should be committed to providing him with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, as well as the love and care he’s been missing.   **Ideal Home**:   Tucker would thrive in an active home with a secure yard where he can run and play to his heart’s content. His ideal family would have experience with energetic breeds and be interested in involving him in dog sports or other physical activities. A cat-free home is essential due to his strong focus on cats. Tucker needs a loving and patient environment where he can continue to build confidence and trust.   **Why Adopt Tucker**:   Adopting Tucker means giving a deserving dog a second chance at happiness. His love for running and playing makes him an ideal companion for an active individual or family, and his sweet nature means he has a lot of love to give. Tucker is ready to leave his past behind and become a loyal, loving member of a family that appreciates his energy and dedication. If you’re looking for a devoted, athletic companion who’s eager to be part of an active, cat-free home, Tucker is the perfect match. ~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam.
