Story
Hi! I'm Shay! I'm an approximately 1 year old, male, Doberman/Shepherd mix weighing about 52 lbs. I was found off Eva Place in Rockwall on 06/15/2024 and sadly never reclaimed. I am a total sun bum! I love to lay out and bask in the warm glow of the sun shine. Inside or outside, you'll find me sunning! I love belly rubs and get along with dogs of all sizes, both male and female. I like fetch and am a very affectionate guy! I love going for long walks and checking out the sights. I am crate trained and would be easy to house train if put on a schedule. If you have another dog in the home, a meet and greet is encouraged to make sure we get along. I have been searching for my furr ever home for 143 days as of 11/05/2024 and am now considered a Diamond Dog! My adoption fee is $75. I am neutered, microchipped, current on my rabies vaccination, basic boosters, and heartworm negative!  All animals, unless otherwise noted in their description, are at 1825 Airport Rd. in Rockwall, TX. Hours of operation are Monday-Friday 9 am to 6 pm and Saturdays 9 am to 5 pm. For questions, please call 972-771-7750 ext. 2 or email info@RockwallAdoptions.com. IMPORTANT NOTICE: All shelter animals are required by Texas state law to be spayed/neutered. RAC completes this procedure at the age of 12 weeks. If you are adopting a pet under the age of 12 weeks or an animal that has not yet been spayed or neutered, you will be required to return the pet to our facility on the agreed upon date set at the time of adoption. This policy is non-negotiable and violation of this health code is a criminal offense. November 6, 2024, 7:31 pm

Story
Charlie is an older dog over 12 years old who has a great disposition who loves to be around people. He gets along very well with children and other dogs/animals. He was rescued as a younger dog and spent a majority of his life with a large family that included another large dog (a female Golden Retriever who later pasted away). Charlie has some benign tumors that do not affect his general health. He enjoys running, whether in a large yard or on hikes or walks with family members. Charlie is being rehomed because the family he spent his time with has had a change in circumstances including the sale of their home, and there is really no one who can provide the time and attention he needs as well as some space for him to roam in. You really will not be disappointed when you adopt Charlie. He really is a one of a kind lovable dog.

Story
Duchess was in a small, high kill shelter when we came across her information. Her eyes were so infected she couldn’t open them and the shelter had posted her as being blind. Our vet discovered that Duchess doesn’t produce tears and the chronic dry eye had been untreated so long her corneas were damaged and infected. This sweet girl was so shut down initially she had to remember what a special dog she is. We are trying our best to save her eyes, she gets 2 types of medicated drops twice a day and artificial tears as often as possible. She’s learned to let her foster clean her eyes and is good about getting her drops. She’s able to see now although not as well as we hope she can as we progress. She will need eye drops ongoing. Duchess now plays with the other dogs in her foster home and enjoys running around her yard. Her very favorite thing is getting attention and spending time with her humans. She just wants to totally devote herself to her human and take care of her family. This girl is a wonderful Doberman and an ambassador for the breed. She is house trained, can use a doggie door or ask to go outside if she doesn't have one. She is fine being left home alone or with her canine friends but would rather go wherever her human is going. She’s great going for rides and would be the perfect travel companion. Duchess is fully vetted - current with vaccines, spayed, on flea/tick and heartworm prevention, and is microchipped.

Story
Tucker     - **Name**: Tucker - **Age**: 2 years old - **Breed**: Doberman - **Gender**: Male (Neutered)   **About Tucker**:   Tucker is a stunning 2-year-old Doberman with a sleek coat and an athletic build that perfectly complements his love for running and playing. This sweet boy has had a tough start in life, not being treated as well as he deserved, but he’s ready to leave that behind and find a loving forever home where he can truly thrive. Tucker is full of energy and would excel in an active home where he can participate in dog sports or other physical activities that keep him moving.   **Special Notes**:   Tucker’s previous experiences have made him eager for affection and stability, and he deserves a home where he will be treated with kindness and respect. He has a strong prey drive, especially when it comes to cats, so a cat-free home would be the best fit for him. Tucker’s new family should be committed to providing him with plenty of exercise and mental stimulation, as well as the love and care he’s been missing.   **Ideal Home**:   Tucker would thrive in an active home with a secure yard where he can run and play to his heart’s content. His ideal family would have experience with energetic breeds and be interested in involving him in dog sports or other physical activities. A cat-free home is essential due to his strong focus on cats. Tucker needs a loving and patient environment where he can continue to build confidence and trust.   **Why Adopt Tucker**:   Adopting Tucker means giving a deserving dog a second chance at happiness. His love for running and playing makes him an ideal companion for an active individual or family, and his sweet nature means he has a lot of love to give. Tucker is ready to leave his past behind and become a loyal, loving member of a family that appreciates his energy and dedication. If you’re looking for a devoted, athletic companion who’s eager to be part of an active, cat-free home, Tucker is the perfect match. ~Although we do our very best to make sure your new pup is in tiptop health before adoption, things could drastically change a month later.  Since we don’t have a long health history of your adopted dog, we can only treat the pet for whatever symptoms present during the initial exam. Health: ***** No obvious issues found during vet exam ***** Temperament: --sweet and affectionate    Adoption: ***** $200.00 ***** ADOPTION APPLICATION: http://www.recycledpoms.org/application -- Email info@recycledpomeranians.com to request a printable application. --   ------Please remember our group is made of only volunteers all of whom have full time jobs, foster fur-kids, and families of their own, so please be patient.--------    November 4, 2024, 11:59 am
