In June, we took in a stray who, we found out a week or two later, was pregnant. She had a litter of seven puppies on July 22nd, and we've been trying to find good homes for them since then. The only one we have left is Monster Cake, a super playful female who loves to run around and goof off. She has been dewormed, and is fully vaccinated, and wants to live in a house that has the energy for a playful pup. We think she'll end up being around 60 lbs when full grown. We would also consider, in lieu of one of the pups, rehoming the mama. She is a beautiful white 45 lb herding dog with tons of energy. Adopters in Austin or unincorporated Travis County will receive a voucher for a free spay/neuter, microchip, and rabies vaccine.

Our family adopted Tildy about 4 years ago from Austin Animal Shelter. She was very withdrawn and anxious, but also sweet! I was hopeful that with some TLC she would come out of her shell. While she has opened up she remains extremely anxious and despite in home trainers, lots of treats, and extra attention, we can’t get a leash on her. Unfortunately I have to leave our home and I am unable to bring her with me. She is still very anxious but extremely sweet. She would do well with a decent sided outdoor space and other dogs to help socialize her.

Apollo is super sweet, affectionate, intelligent, loves to play, and is crate trained. He knows basic commands - sit, stay, lay down, drop it, come, etc. He is not aggressive (leash or otherwise). He's good with children, cats (his original owner had a cat, I do not - this may have changed), and other dogs. His ears were cropped when he was a puppy, but the posting failed, so they're pointy but floppy. As of 9/18/2024, Apollo is up-to-date on all his vaccines, neutered, heart worm negative, and on heart worm preventative.

Hi all. We are looking to rehome Toast. She is a cattle dog, Doberman, Great Pyrenees mix. She is about 7-8 months old and weighs about 50lbs. She is up to date on shots. She knows sit, down, wait, off, and out. She is great during car rides. Good during baths. She semi likes water and will chomp at the hose. An ideal home for her would be with a large yard or plot of land! She is good with other dogs and cats! She listens and will bark at anything she deems suspicious. She is young and is capable of learning lots! Why I’m rehoming: we got her as a rescue since she was a part of a litter dump. Her and her entire litter had mange so it took us about 2.5-3 months to fully cure her and for her to fully recover! We can’t keep up with keeping another dog especially a puppy. Toast is very puppy like! Full of energy, teething, but the most silly and bubbly girl.

Bella is a 3 year old spayed female Doberman with floppy ears and a docked tail. She was originally found as a stray (multiple times) and her owner decided it was best to surrender her to our rescue. She is up to date on her vaccines, microchipped and spayed. She has been treated for heartworms. Bella is learning manners in foster. We will require an experienced working breed owner as she can be a bit pushy due to lack of prior rules. She’s shown us she learns quite quickly but with her intelligence if she can “get one over on you” she will. She’s VERY smart! She has been around cats and chickens and fit into her foster pack very nicely. She doe well with male dogs, but NOT other female dogs. She is also crate trained and housebroken. Older children would be recommended due to her exuberance but she loves people!

Poppy Rose is a 5 year old red and rust female Doberman with cropped (not standing) ears and a docked tail. She was surrendered to the shelter by her breeder along with two one week old puppies and another adult female and some puppies. Poppy Rose had a hard life living outside and her condition at intake (photo) speaks to that. Her foster mom named her appropriately! She has been recovering well in foster care and continues to dote on her puppies. She is heartworm negative, up to date on Baccines and spayed. Poppy was in horrible shape when she was rescued but has regrown all her coat, gained tons of confidence and blossomed. She absolutely loves children! poppy would be best with a quiet family that has working dog experience. She is not a fan of thunderstorms and she will come with her thunder shirt. She is crate trained and housebroken and has learned some basic obedience. She would be happy to hang out with you all day.
