Story
Meet Coleman! This photo doesn’t do his size justice, he’s a big guy! He’s about 11 months and he has A LOT of energy. He is maybe a Doberman mix? He tested well with dogs, but would do best having another active dog that can match his play style. He is ok with cats, as long as they are used to dogs that will annoy them. He will be fine with kids as long as they don’t mind a large dog jumping on or around them! PA Kennel License #1333

Story
Haven was found walking down a local street on a hot summer day with 6 x approximately 2 week old puppies in tow. Luckily someone saw her and quickly got her & her puppies to safety at the rescue. Sadly no one came forward to claim Haven and her puppies are weened so now this resilient girl is ready to leave her past behind her & find her forever home. Our best guess is that Haven is perhaps a Doberman or Hound mix. She is friendly, affectionate, enjoys walks and is beginning to become more playful in the yard. She is scheduled for her next Vet check up and will be spayed prior to adoption. For more information or to meet Haven please contact Tri-County Animal Rescue Center ( kennel License # 8704 )

Story
Rooster is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. This handsome boy was found as a stray running out in the country. He is approximately 7 months old and weighs 45 pounds. He will probably weigh in the 60-pound range when fully grown. We are not sure of his breed mixture but think he may have some lab and Doberman in him. Rooster has a great personality and disposition. He loves all of the other rescue dogs, big and small. He loves people and will lie at your feet whenever he can. He loves water and the garden fountain is his favorite spot to hang out and keep cool. Rooster is a very sweet and goofy puppy. He is pretty much house-trained and runs to go outside with his buddies. He will need some leash training and would probably do better with a harness. We have no idea of how he is with cats. Rooster loves to run and play with his dog friends and toys. He may not be suitable for a home with small children because he may knock them over when running and playing. Rooster needs a fully fenced-in and secure yard. He will be a great dog for hiking or going to the dog park. He is an active boy and will run around the yard with a toy in his mouth playing tag with his buddies. He likes to be the leader and have everyone chase him. Rooster would do well either as an only dog or with other dogs. Rooster is a healthy and happy boy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Roosters' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to the Pittsburgh area. Rooster resides with our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Please email kathy@houstonshaggydogrescue.org if you are interested in adopting this good boy. You may also find them on Facebook at https://www.facebook.com/houstonshaggydogrescue
