Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Amish dog very rough  J oe Bob, affectionately known as "Joey," is a sweet 2-year-old red Doberman who has overcome a difficult beginning. Rescued from an Amish breeder, Joey's past was one of little care, medical attention, or affection. But now, he's slowly discovering what it means to give and receive love. Joey's journey has come with some unique traits that make him all the more special. He has a distinctive cleft nose, which doesn't require any surgery – we think it adds to his charm! Despite his challenging past, Joey had successful surgery to correct entropion, a condition affecting his eyelid. Joey loves to carry around fabric items like towels, blankets, or anything soft he can find. He's also a big fan of chewing on deer antlers and Nylabones. This sweet boy craves gentle affection and adores pets and scratches. Every day, he shows us just how much he wants to trust people, and he’s making beautiful progress. Joey is wonderful with kids and other dogs, though he can be a bit timid when meeting new people. Once he warms up, he becomes a total love bug, ready to snuggle and play. He has moderate energy, enjoying a balance of running laps around the backyard with his foster dog siblings and curling up on the couch for some cuddle time. Joey does get startled by loud noises and will need a home with a secure, fenced yard where he can safely play and explore. He has a high prey drive, so he isn’t a good fit for homes with cats or small animals like chickens or bunnies. He's been fantastic with children of all ages. Joey has been working with a trainer and has already mastered several commands like sit, heel, come, place, no, and leave it. With continued training, he’s sure to blossom even more. He’s looking for an adopter who has patience and time to help him continue his journey towards trust and love. Joey is ready to find his forever home.  Is it yours?  Apply at www.DUdobes.org Doberman Underground adopts to Ohio and some close in parts of bordering states.  There is a full list of states and specific counties we adopt to at the top of our application.   * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *  Sponsor Me by purchasing: Toys / Treats $10.00 USDLeash & Collar $15.00 USDMonth of Food $35.00 USDMonthly Heartworm/Flea/Tick $40.00 USDTransportation Costs $60.00 USDVaccinations $100.00 USDSpay / Neuter $150.00 USDThyroid Panel $150.00 USDIncoming vetting $300.00 USDHeartworm Treatment $1,500.00 USD  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 2, 2024, 11:47 am

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Niles is an all-natural red Doberman who is ready to find his forever family after a challenging start to life. This 18-month-old boy was surrendered by his elderly owner when they realized his youthful energy was more than they could manage. Shortly after, Niles underwent neuter surgery for retained testicles, which led to some unexpected complications. Despite the rough road, Niles has recovered beautifully and is now thriving in his foster home. Niles is an affectionate, smart, and fun-loving Doberman with a full tail that never stops wagging! He’s quickly learning basic commands like sit, stay, and down, and he’s already house-trained. Niles enjoys wrestling with his foster brother (a pug/Boston mix), munching on ice cubes, and snuggling up with his humans on the couch—he's totally a lap dog! At night, he’ll happily sleep in his crate but wouldn’t mind being your personal heater if there’s room in your bed. Niles is looking for a home with breed experience or experience with large, energetic dogs. He loves his humans and would do best in a family that can spend plenty of time with him. He’s friendly with everyone, but his exuberance might be a bit much for young children. Niles also does well with other dogs, especially those who enjoy a good play session.  He is even friendly toward cats! Niles doesn’t need a fenced yard but loves spending time outside. He’s been doing well on a leash, though he’s still learning not to pull, and his energy is boundless! Niles loves toys and is learning to pick out his favorites from the toybox. He’s also a talker and will happily let you know when he wants some attention or has something to say. Niles would thrive in a home with another playful dog or with an active family who can keep up with his energy and love. While he’s good around children, older kids would be a better fit due to his enthusiasm. If you’re looking for a loyal, affectionate companion who’s eager to learn and love, Niles might be the perfect match for you! Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Halloween pupsMeet Frankie! This adorable Doberman/German Shorthaired Pointer mix puppy came to Doberman Underground as part of a litter of eleven. Frankie’s mom, an 8-year-old Doberman, "accidentally" became pregnant by a young German Shorthaired Pointer in her home. Unfortunately, due to her age and health issues, she couldn't provide milk for the puppies, so Frankie and his siblings needed round-the-clock bottle feeding and lots of love to thrive. Now, Frankie is a healthy, happy puppy who’s developing into a smart and lively pup. He will be ready for adoption in mid-November when he turns eight weeks old.  Frankie will be an excellent match for an experienced Doberman or large working breed owner who understands the needs of high-energy, intelligent working breeds. He’ll do best in a home that can provide plenty of exercise and mental stimulation to keep him happy and balanced.  If you’re ready to welcome an active, independent puppy into your life, Frankie might just be your perfect match!  Neuter contract is required.   Apply today at www.DUdobes.org Doberman Underground adopts to Ohio and some close in parts of surrounding states.     * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *  Sponsor Me by purchasing: Toys / Treats $10.00 USDLeash & Collar $15.00 USDMonth of Food $35.00 USDMonthly Heartworm/Flea/Tick $40.00 USDTransportation Costs $60.00 USDVaccinations $100.00 USDSpay / Neuter $150.00 USDThyroid Panel $150.00 USDIncoming vetting $300.00 USDHeartworm Treatment $1,500.00 USD  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 2, 2024, 11:47 am
