Great news! My adoption fee has been paid by someone who loves me and wants me to find a great home. Here's what you need to know about me:I'm an active dog! I would love to go home with a family who can help me burn off energy with exercise, playtime, and outdoor adventures.I'd like a home where my family is home often, this helps me adjust in my new home. I'm just really social and love spending time with people, I prefer to not be left alone for long periods. It's recommended I meet any dogs or kids living in my new home before I'm adopted. I just want to make sure we all get along. Primary Color: Tan Weight: 48.375 Age: 0yrs 6mths 3wks

Looking to Rehome: Sweet & Smart 1-Year-Old Mixed Breed Dog, 70lbs (Doberman/Pit Bull) Meet Harley Personality: Sweet and playful; loves to engage in training and games. Loves to cuddle Very smart and food-motivated—she excels at learning new tricks. Potty trained and great with daily routines. Anxious and fearful, especially when meeting new people, dogs, environments. Reactive on leash with other dogs, so she will need a handler who can work on this behavior. Can take some time to warm up to new people, but with patience, she shows her loving and loyal side. Ideal Home: An adult-only household with no other dogs would be perfect for her. A secure yard where she can safely play and burn off energy. Someone who has the time, patience, and dedication to work with her on her anxiety and reactivity. Must be comfortable with providing structure, routine, and positive reinforcement-based training to help her become her best self

What my friends at OHS say about me:I have been working with the Behavior and Training team here at OHS for consistency and am looking for a special home. It will take time and patience to get to know me. You'll need to meet with me multiple times before taking me home.To learn more about my specific needs, please read my What to Expect handout. I am part of the special rescue effort to help shelters in California that were impacted by the L.A. wildfires.I hope you're a fan of comedy, because my goofy personality is sure to make you smile!Shy and Nervous: I can be worried about new people, new surroundings and touch. I prefer to take things at my own pace and will need to live in a calm environment.Someone very familiar with canine body language is a must for me. Therefore, I may not be the best option for a first-time dog owner. Then again, if you are willing to put in the work, then let's roll the dice and see where this adventure takes us.Making new friends is so much fun! I'm a very social and confident guy.I love to be around people! I'd make a great buddy for curling up on the couch to watch a movie.Stick a bandana on me and let's go check those hikes off your bucket list! The type of home I'm looking for: I need to go to a home without small children.I would flourish in a calm environment and a low-traffic home.I need a home without cats or other small animals.I need to be the only dog in the home.My energy and size can be a lot for little kids, but I would do great with older, dog-savvy children. It could be with you! Story
Rooster is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. This handsome boy was found as a stray running out in the country. He is approximately 7 months old and weighs 45 pounds. He will probably weigh in the 60-pound range when fully grown. We are not sure of his breed mixture but think he may have some lab and Doberman in him. Rooster has a great personality and disposition. He loves all of the other rescue dogs, big and small. He loves people and will lie at your feet whenever he can. He loves water and the garden fountain is his favorite spot to hang out and keep cool. Rooster is a very sweet and goofy puppy. He is pretty much house-trained and runs to go outside with his buddies. He will need some leash training and would probably do better with a harness. We have no idea of how he is with cats. Rooster loves to run and play with his dog friends and toys. He may not be suitable for a home with small children because he may knock them over when running and playing. Rooster needs a fully fenced-in and secure yard. He will be a great dog for hiking or going to the dog park. He is an active boy and will run around the yard with a toy in his mouth playing tag with his buddies. He likes to be the leader and have everyone chase him. Rooster would do well either as an only dog or with other dogs. Rooster is a healthy and happy boy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Roosters' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Vancouver WA. Rooster is fostered by our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Story
Meet Easton! He is currently 16 weeks old, 18 lbs, and we think he may be a miniature pinchser/Lab mix, but with rescue it’s always a guess! Based on his current age and size we think he will be medium sized when full grown. Watch Easton's video here: * coming soon * Easton is playful, sweet, curious, and cuddly. He loves to play with his sibling and then take lots of naps. Eat, sleep, play, repeat - such is puppy life! Easton is still young so he will need a family that can commit to training, socialization and all the dedication puppyhood requires. His new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. When old enough, they will be perfect to go on walks and hikes or show off around your neighborhood. You will be guaranteed to get lots of kisses in return from your new best friend! Application link: https://adopt.animalsfirst.com/animal/62cc8e128b02916730334440/6761ad34a91f9c836508885f Please email Leah.Smith@threelittlepittiesrescue.org with any questions. Available for adoption in NV, MT, CO,UT, ID, OR, WA, Canada, and now the East Coast! Our PNW dogs are brought to you in style by a beautiful USDA licensed semi-truck, equipped with air conditioning for comfort, two drivers, and 2 onboard attendants providing 24 hour care. Our East Coast route will travel in a private, air conditioned 3LP-run van transport. Pick up day is unforgettable! You will get to follow along on their journey through a private FB Event page, where you will see photos, have the opportunity to connect with other adopters, and receive updates and constant communication along the way. One of our Adoption Coordinators can help to find the closest transport pick up location to you! The adoption fee is $1,200.00 and includes all vetting as recommended by our doctor: DAPP (2 to 4 depending on age and time in the program), Bordetella, Rabies vaccine (if old enough), multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, 2 months of heartworm preventative, extended medical such as dentals, eye surgeries, and orthopedic surgeries prior to adoption when suggested by our partner vets, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar for dogs over 4 months old, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and many priceless years of love and loyal companionship! *WE ARE TOLD THAT WE GO ABOVE AND BEYOND MEDICALLY. This is the feedback we tend to get, although we cannot guarantee perfect health. *To fully vet a dog in the PNW or the NE at many vets it would be upwards of $1,800 just to fix, vaccinate, chip, etc. The adoption fees charged by our rescue do not cover our expenses medically for each animal, but we offset costs with donations. Your adoption fee is considered a donation towards actual costs. Why adopt from Three Little Pitties? The stray and animal overpopulation in the Greater Houston area is the highest in the nation. Statistics show that there are over 1 million homeless animals in this region alone. Three Little Pitties Rescue is a nonprofit dog and cat rescue that partners with the community to make a difference. Our mission is to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and saving all breeds of dogs and cats from the streets or animal shelters that oftentimes have no other option but to euthanize animals for space. This dog you’ve found online is lucky to be in our program, and even luckier to have you notice it! Three Little Pitties wants to set you and your new pet up for success! We know our dogs and we work hard to prepare them socially for adoption. We are a network of dedicated people who are heavily invested in seeing our animals thrive. From the moment they are accepted into our program, our Intake, Behavior & Medical teams prepare them for adoption by properly vetting, behaviorally assessing, and providing customized plans depending on the dog’s needs. We seek to adopt to families who understand that these are rescue dogs and will require continued training efforts, but will be well on their way to being the best dogs that they can be! It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these special perks: • 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion (must register within 24 hours of first vet appt.) • A free private online dog training session with GoodPup plus low pricing for future sessions (approx $25 weekly for an 8 week course of one session per week) • One free bonus toy in every BarkBox when signing up for their Super Chewer subscription plan • 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a PNW based, organic fresh dog food loaf meal subscription plan • Coupons for a fun visit to Petco • Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! We celebrated our 6 year anniversary this year! Through the combined efforts of all of our hardworking staff and volunteers, we have placed over 12,000 very lucky dogs and cats into amazing homes! By adopting from us, you save TWO lives! The pet you adopt, and you create an opportunity for another animal to be saved in that spot. Together, we can be heroes. Follow our rescue journey through the links below! https://www.threelittlepittiesrescue.org/ https://www.facebook.com/threelittlepittiesrescue https://www.instagram.com/threelittlepittiesrescue *Due to the rising cost of fuel and transportation expenses, there will be an additional $74 surcharge for transport. Story
Lily, or as her foster mom calls her, Lovey is a soft, sweet and precious girl with loads of love to give and an unmatched attentiveness to her people. The cutest thing about her? She loves to hug! We believe that Lovey is a Doberman, Rottweiler mix, she is a rescue, so her exact lineage cannot be guaranteed. Lily Lovey is estimated to be around 3 years old. Get to know Lily here: https://youtu.be/EovVE1aId00?feature=shared Lily currently resides in a quiet countryside home here in Texas with her loving foster mom. She loves her outside time, and likes to roll around in the grass. She’s learning basic commands from her foster mom, and even has a good grasp on hand commands! Her foster mom reports that she loves to snuggle, and has great house manners. She seems to be potty trained and doesn’t have indoor accidents in her foster home or at the rescue. Lily is still learning her leash manners, but with a little polishing, she’ll be a pro on leash in no time. She’s food motivated and takes treats gently. With other dogs, Lily is gracious and kind. She’s not jealous when other dogs get attention, she shares love well. She’s not overly playful with other dogs quite yet, but that may change in a home. Lily is playful with her humans and adores toys. She likes her stuffies the best but loves tennis balls too. Lily is ready to meet you, and knowing her- it will be love at first sight. Lily meets everyone with sweetness and affection. We could see Lily living in a home with other dogs, or as an only-child, soaking up all of your affection. Lily would love a home with a yard because she so values her outside time. We are willing to test Lily with anything you need us to in order to ensure she’s the perfect match for you! We can make most anything happen! Just let us know. Ready to welcome a new furry friend into your life? Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: ● Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family ● Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test ● 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion ● A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions ● 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription ● Coupons for a fun visit to Petco ● 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions ● Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer ● Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity.
