He's made amazing progress and now enjoys gentle pets, but he's still a bit sensitive to loud noises and sudden movements. Because of this, he's looking for a quiet, adult-only home with patient and understanding people who will give him the time and space he needs to continue building his confidence. Story
Catalina is a stunning female Doberman, who is dog friendly, on the submissive side and a typical Velcro Doberman - she so badly will want to cuddle with you on the couch. Catalina instantly bonds with women. She has lived with men and will solicit some affection but generally defaults back to any women within the home. - Approximately 4 years old and 74 pounds - Docked tail, cropped ears that do not stand - Excellent with other dogs and instantly wants to play. Has a typical fast, all legs, Doberman play style. - Cat workable. During her cat test Catalina was curious but also backed off the cat. When the cat swatted her and hissed she jumped backwards and retreated. We feel she can likely do ok in a home with dog savvy cats and an adopter willing to do a slow introduction to set boundaries with her towards a cat. - Social with people - Kids ages 10+ if there are kids in the home. Catalina has lived with multiple young children but her playful exuberance has accidentally knocked a child down before so we recommend no young children. - Potty trained - Crate trained and sleeps in her crate at night - Not leash reactive - Loads in the car and rides nicely, no car sickness noted - Loves water and to hop in a kiddie pool during hot summer months - Smart and trainable with a high food drive. A professional trainer was volunteering her time to train Catalina while she was in rescue in California awaiting adoption or rescue placement. Catalina knows the following obedience cues: sit, down, touch, spin, leave it and likes to follow close to your side in a heel position. - Sweetheart of a Doberman with a soft temperament Catalina does come with a sad back story. This lovely girl was dumped by her owner with her sister in a rural orchard in California. Catalina had likely given birth to at least one or two litters. She had a large gash on her stomach that needed to be closed and had been shot with a BB gun. Approximately 8 BBs remain in her hind leg but do not cause her any issues and two vets we have consulted have both said to leave the BBs alone and not try to remove them which would be extremely complicated. She does not show any signs of lameness. Because Catalina was so neglected and abused, she definitely needs an understanding owner that will be patient with her when she hesitates or gets spooked. Catalina is spayed, vaccinated, heartworm tested negative, microchipped, current on flea/tick/heartworm prevention and has had multiple rounds of dewormer. Her adoption fee includes a free wellness exam at either of our partner veterinary clinics in Oregon City, Milwaukie, Tualatin or Portland. $250 adoption fee Fostered in Portland, Oregon SUBMIT AN ADOPTION APPLICATION: WWW.AGAVEDOGS.ORG

Story
**Fostered in Kenmore, WA and ready for meet and greets!** This cutie is Sweet Caroline. She is currently 6 months old, and we think she may have some doberman or coonhound in her, but with rescue it’s a guess! What matters most is that she is an adorable, spunky puppy, full of enthusiasm, hoping for a loving forever home. You name the game, and she's up for it. Caroline loves to play! Chase? Yes please! Wrestling with other dogs? Oh gosh yes! Toys? The more the merrier! This girl says YES to life. She has lots of joy to share with you. Caroline is enjoying a foster home in the Seattle area with large and small doggy siblings. She is a very smart girl! She's very good and quiet in her crate, and is housetrained. She can go about 4 hours in her crate during the day and 8 hours overnight. She is a master of the "sit" command (as long as she's not too distracted -- SQUIRREL!) and has excellent recall. She also knows the "kennel up" and "wait" commands. She's good on a leash with the occasional treat to grab her puppy attention. Mostly, though, she wants to give kisses and get belly rubs. The Houston, TX area, where this puppy is from, is one of the riskiest places in the nation for pets. Shelters in this area are having to euthanize puppies. Caroline needs you! If you adopt her, you save her life AND make room for her foster to take in another desperate pup. Caroline is still young so she will need a family that can commit to training, socialization, and all the dedication puppyhood requires. Her new family will need to continue with potty and crate training and daily exercise. We require a commitment from adoptive families to crate train their new puppy. In return, your new best friend will give you plenty of kisses and laughter! Are you a walker, hiker, or jogger? Caroline will make an excellent exercise buddy! She wants to go EVERYWHERE with you and she'll make you smile every step of the way with her goofy, unbridled enthusiasm. Adopt Caroline! You can join along on our private Facebook event page to follow their adventure, connecting you with other adopters and providing updates throughout their transport journey! You will get to meet your new pup over a video call before signing paperwork, creating a fun and personalized adoption experience! The adoption fee is $825.00 and includes all vetting (DAPP with booster, Bordetella, Rabies vaccine, multiple broad spectrum deworming treatments, spay/neuter, flea prevention, a 12 month heartworm preventative injectible, heartworm test and treatment if needed, a microchip with free lifetime registration, a high quality nylon Martingale collar, a health certificate deeming the pup healthy for travel, cost of transport*, and priceless years of love and loyal companionship! We have over 15,000 successful adoptions so far and have excellent Google Reviews: https://g.co/kgs/UQ5Pyai We care deeply about making the perfect match between dog and family for long term success. Our rescue has a 2 acre property in Texas where we assess every animal with trainers on staff, we modify behavior as needed, and create individualized behavior plans to help prepare dogs for their future families including crate training, potty training, leash walking, etc. Our fosters are able to attend group trainings and socialization play groups to keep dogs adoption-ready. Our on-site trainers support the positive growth of our dogs and we enjoy seeing their progress! Our commitment to comprehensive medical care sets us apart. We've received glowing feedback from veterinarians who commend our dedication to ensuring the health and well-being of every animal in our care with treatments that often go above and beyond. Our adoption fees reflect the extensive care and resources that go into each animal we save. The adoption fee is a donation to the mission and goes far beyond getting a fully vetted pet. The rescue’s hard costs alone for a healthy dog to go through our program typically range between $412 to $859, which includes boarding, food, medications, vaccines, and spay/neuter. For heartworm-positive dogs, hard costs are upwards of $1,120. Additionally, dogs requiring extended boarding, extra training, or extra medical care—such as dental work, vision care, or orthopedic care—can lead to expenses running into the thousands. Also, included in the fee are costs to cover transport up to the Pacific Northwest or East Coast. While adoption fees help cover part of these expenses, we want to emphasize that Three Little Pitties Rescue is not government funded. It doesn’t stop there! Our adopters also receive these SPECIAL PERKS: Extensive behavioral testing and information from trainers on our staff to ensure the perfect fit for your family Discounts on Embark DNA test kit- $30 off of Breed ID test & $50 off of Breed ID plus Health test 30 day trial of pet insurance with Trupanion A free private online dog training session with GoodPup, plus low pricing for future sessions 70% off of your first order of Fetch, a delicious PNW based fresh dog meatballs subscription Coupons for a fun visit to Petco 20% off of Dr. Cuddles pet first aid and hygiene solutions Discounted heartworm, flea prevention, and monthly dewormer Access to our exclusive FB Adopters page, where you can network for play dates, resources, and connect with other adopters that share their passion for their adopted pup! Did you know that the Greater Houston area faces some of the highest stray and overpopulation rates in the nation? We are a non profit charity. Our goal is simple— to reduce the homeless pet population through community outreach, free spay and neuter services, and by rescuing animals from the streets or overcrowded shelters where euthanasia due to lack of space is often the only option. The dog you've found online is not only lucky to be in our program, but also incredibly fortunate to have caught your eye. Thank you for considering adoption and for joining us in our mission! Story
Rooster is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. This handsome boy was found as a stray running out in the country. He is approximately 7 months old and weighs 45 pounds. He will probably weigh in the 60-pound range when fully grown. We are not sure of his breed mixture but think he may have some lab and Doberman in him. Rooster has a great personality and disposition. He loves all of the other rescue dogs, big and small. He loves people and will lie at your feet whenever he can. He loves water and the garden fountain is his favorite spot to hang out and keep cool. Rooster is a very sweet and goofy puppy. He is pretty much house-trained and runs to go outside with his buddies. He will need some leash training and would probably do better with a harness. We have no idea of how he is with cats. Rooster loves to run and play with his dog friends and toys. He may not be suitable for a home with small children because he may knock them over when running and playing. Rooster needs a fully fenced-in and secure yard. He will be a great dog for hiking or going to the dog park. He is an active boy and will run around the yard with a toy in his mouth playing tag with his buddies. He likes to be the leader and have everyone chase him. Rooster would do well either as an only dog or with other dogs. Rooster is a healthy and happy boy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Roosters' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport to Vancouver WA. Rooster is fostered by our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Story
MEET DARLA! Darla is a sweet and gentle 6-year-old purebred Doberman Pinscher. (Purebred verified by DNA testing). She is elegant, pretty and very affectionate -- and she gets along great with other dogs. Darla was rescued from a crowded California shelter, and now is a big favorite with volunteers, who call her a "real sweetheart". She is a well-behaved girl, but is quite strong, and will pull when she sees squirrels on a walk! Darla is in good health. She dos have a small lump on her underside, but this has been vet-checked and determined to be a benign fatty tumor, not a source of potential trouble. Darla will be totally devoted to her person. She is a gem and whomever adopts her will be very lucky. She weighs about 65 lbs. Please email for an application.

Story
MEET CARTER! Carter is a 3- to 4-year-old male Doberman-German Shepherd mix (50/50 per DNA testing) who needs a foster or forever home! He looks more like a Dobie than a German Shepherd, and is sweet as they come! Carter was rescued from a scary California shelter, where he was kenneled with another dog and did great. He loves other dogs and is a joy with people, always having a smile to go. He still has some puppy energy, but calms down quickly. He's sweet and affectionate, and very intelligent. He would do best in a home with an active person, people or family with older kids. He would make an ideal family dog. He weighs about 65 lbs. Please email for an application.
