Story
HW+, wicked duo, grade 2 heart murmur Glinda is a beautiful 8-year-old Doberman girl was rescued from euthanasia after arriving at a shelter heartworm positive, when the shelter did not have the resources to provide the treatment she desperately needed. Thanks to Doberman Underground Rescue and the dedicated care she received, Glinda has successfully completed her heartworm treatment and is now ready to begin the next chapter of her life — finding a safe, loving forever home where she can truly relax and thrive. When Glinda first arrived in foster care, her shyness and uncertainty were evident. It took her several days to come out of her shell, but even then, you could see in her eyes that she wanted to trust — she just needed time. Once she feels safe, Glinda’s affectionate and loyal personality shines. She happily comes when called, often with her little nub wagging with excitement. She loves being close to her people and will lay next to you on the couch with her head resting gently on your hand or her nose touching you. If you are standing, she is just as content lying or sitting at your feet to stay connected. Ear scratches, neck rubs, and tummy rubs are some of her absolute favorite things. Glinda enjoys spending time outdoors and is always ready to go outside, no matter the weather — snow and cold included! Because she is still regaining strength after heartworm treatment, her activity level is currently limited, but she is doing very well with calmer enrichment activities such as chewing on bones, working on pupsicles, and enjoying mind games inside the home. She enjoys leash walks for potty breaks and sniffing adventures and would likely enjoy longer walks as she continues to rebuild stamina. Glinda would thrive in a home that offers a nice balance between relaxed companionship and outdoor activity. A homebody who also enjoys daily leash walks and safe backyard time would be ideal. She will require a securely fenced yard where she can safely explore and play. She shows great interest in neighboring dogs and enjoys fence-line interaction, though she can get excited and eager to chase during play. She is also extremely interested in the scent of a neighbor’s cat shelter, so a cat-free home will be required. Glinda has done well living with the large, male resident Doberman in her foster home. They have settled comfortably together. They stand next to each other, touch noses calmly, and coexist peacefully. Small dogs are not a match.  The resident dog has offered play invitations, which Glinda has shown interest in, but play has been limited due to her heartworm recovery. Glinda can be shy when meeting new people, but she warms up nicely with patience, treats, and gentle affection. Once she feels comfortable, her loving and devoted nature becomes clear. Glinda has overcome so much and is ready to share her heart with a family willing to give her the patience, love, and security she deserves. If you are looking for a loyal companion who will quietly steal your heart and stay by your side, Glinda may be your perfect match. Glinda is available to adopters of all ages.  She is eligible for our Seniors Owning Seniors (SOS) for adopters 70+ with prior Doberman ownership experience.  Visit our website for more information. Story
Meet Moxie, a beautiful 8 month old red girl. Moxie was found as a stray with a severely injured leg. The shelter that took her in did not have the resources to provide the level of medical care she needed, and that’s when they asked Doberman Underground to step in and save her. Despite every effort to repair the damage, her leg could not be saved and amputation was the only option. Moxie has healed incredibly well and now she has no activity restrictions. She runs, plays, and zooms around just like any other young Doberman. Being a tripod has not slowed her down in the slightest. She is a typical 8-month-old Doberman puppy—playful, busy, intelligent, curious, affectionate, and at times a little mischievous. She does have a high prey drive and will require a home with a physically fenced yard where she can safely run and burn off energy. Because of her prey drive, she cannot live with cats or small dogs under 30 pounds. She would do very well with a confident, playful larger canine companion who can match her energy and enjoy active play. As with any young Doberman, Moxie will need training, structure, and consistency. She is still very much a puppy and will thrive with an experienced Doberman owner who understands the importance of leadership, boundaries, and both physical and mental stimulation. With proper guidance, she has all the potential to grow into an exceptional adult companion. Moxie is friendly, loving, and incredibly resilient. She does not see herself as limited in any way, and she is ready to find a forever family who will appreciate her spirit, intelligence, and zest for life. Story
Myra’s story is one of incredible resilience — but what truly defines her is the joyful, loving dog she has become. When Myra first came to us, she had clearly been through more than any dog should experience. Despite that rough start, her spirit never broke. Instead, she showed us just how strong, forgiving, and full of life she truly is. Today, Myra is thriving and embracing everything that comes with finally being able to live like a dog should. Myra is a Doberman / Shepherd mix — the perfect blend of two amazing breeds - with a sprinkle of Golden Retriever for extra sweetness. She has the intelligence, loyalty, and elegance of a Doberman paired with the confidence and versatility of a Shepherd. The result? A smart, affectionate, and engaging young dog who is always ready to be part of whatever her people are doing. This young, active, fun-loving girl is almost a year old now, gaining strength, confidence, and showing more of her personality every day. She’s incredibly friendly, very smart, and eager to learn, which means she’ll do wonderfully with continued training. She’s already just about potty trained and continues to make great progress. One of Myra’s most adorable quirks is her love for stuffies. She absolutely adores her toys — but unlike many dogs, she doesn’t destroy them. Instead, she carefully carries them around like prized possessions. They’re her “babies,” and if you adopt Myra, it’s truly a package deal — she will absolutely be bringing her beloved collection with her. Myra can be sweet and classy one minute, and the life of the party the next. She loves being part of the action and enjoys both playtime and affection with her people. Her joyful energy is contagious, and she has a way of making everyone around her smile. Because she’s still young and full of energy, Myra will do best with a family who is ready to continue her training, provide structure, and give her the exercise and engagement she needs to thrive. In return, she’ll give her family endless loyalty, love, and entertainment.  She needs a yard with a physical fence to provide a safe space for her to run and play.  She's good with larger dogs, but hasn't been around small dogs or cats.  She likely has too much puppy energy for very young children, but older kids would be fine. What Myra wants most is simple: a home where she can keep learning, keep playing, and finally be her family's beloved companion. Myra’s best chapter is just beginning. If you’re looking for a smart, affectionate, playful young dog who will keep you smiling every day — Myra might just be your girl.  Apply today at www.DUdobes.org   Doberman Underground adopts to Ohio and some close in areas of surrounding states.  A full list of the states and specific counties we adopt to is available at the top of our online application.   * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * *  Sponsor Me by purchasing: Toys / Treats $10.00 USDLeash & Collar $15.00 USDMonth of Food $35.00 USDMonthly Heartworm/Flea/Tick $40.00 USDTransportation Costs $60.00 USDVaccinations $100.00 USDSpay / Neuter $150.00 USDThyroid Panel $150.00 USDIncoming vetting $300.00 USDHeartworm Treatment $1,500.00 USD  Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.March 17, 2026, 9:05 am

Story
Monkey is a 3-year-old female Doberman who has officially wrapped up her heartworm treatment and is ready to start the fun chapter of her life — finding her forever family! This joyful, playful girl has a huge personality and absolutely loves making friends with everyone she meets. Monkey is the perfect blend of sweet, gentle, and delightfully silly. She’s a classic Velcro Doberman who wants to be close to her people at all times and would happily volunteer to share your bed if you let her. She loves giving nose kisses and enjoys lounging on the couch just as much as she enjoys playtime.  Monkey thrives on being part of her family’s daily activities. This smart girl learns quickly and is already making progress on her manners. She does have a talent for counter surfing if opportunity strikes, but she’s improving with guidance. Monkey has never been kenneled because her foster home has someone around most of the time, and she has done very well with that arrangement.  Monkey is young and full of energy, so she will need daily exercise, including walks and yard time to run and play. Squeaky toys beware — Monkey considers them her personal mission and will happily dismantle them if given the chance! She has done well on the few walks she has experienced so far, especially considering her limited prior training, and with continued structure and consistency she is going to make an incredible companion. She enjoys children and has been friendly and interested in them, though due to her enthusiasm and energy level, kids ages 5 and up would be the best fit. Monkey currently lives with a small dog and tolerates them but does not fully respect their size and may accidentally run them over during play. She would do best with a confident, middle-aged canine companion who can help guide her, build her confidence, and keep her in check during playtime. She has not been cat tested, but she would likely chase a cat just for the fun of it. Monkey is still learning and has lots of youthful energy, so she would do best in a home where someone has the time and dedication to continue her training and help her succeed. A very busy household may not be the ideal fit for what she needs at this stage. Monkey is also a great little watchdog who will alert you when something or someone is outside but responds well to correction. If you are looking for a happy, energetic, affectionate Doberman with a big personality, Monkey may be your perfect match. With structure, training, and lots of love, this sweet girl is going to blossom into an amazing lifelong companion. Monkey is ready to swing into her forever home — could it be yours? Story
I’m Rosie 🌹 I’m four years old, and I’m a very lucky girl ♥️ A little over a year ago, my life changed forever. I was thrown from a truck and broke both of my front legs 😔 I was scared and hurting, and I didn’t understand why. But someone kind scooped me up, rushed me to the emergency hospital, and made sure I got the help I needed. After that, I saw a specialist in Oklahoma City and they helped put me back together again 🥹 It took time It took healing and It took love. And guess what? I walk straight now. I run and I play. I chase my friends around the yard like nothing ever happened. My legs may have been broken, but my spirit never was ☺️ I live with a whole pack of dogs big Rotties, little pitties, shepherds, puppies boys and girls. Sometimes there are twelve of us running together… sometimes even fourteen! And you know what? Not a single growl. I get along with everyone🐾 I even boss around a big Rottie during tug of war (don’t tell him I said that… he lets me win). I have one ear that flops. Maybe it’s from my accident, maybe it’s just my personality 😉 Either way, it makes people smile 😃 Sometimes I open my mouth like I’m talking to you but no sound comes out. I just have things to say with my eyes. 👀 I love people. I think I’d love kids, too. I ride well in the car 🚙 I’m trained. I used to stay in a crate, but now I’m free to stretch my legs and build my strength. Now… I should tell you something. I really, really love chasing squirrels 🐿️ . They tease me, and I can’t help myself. Because of that, I might not be the best roommate for cats 🐈‍⬛ . I can’t promise I wouldn’t think they’re part of the squirrel club. But I can promise this ☺️ I will love you with my whole heart. I will play with you. I will make you laugh. I will lay my head on you and look at you like you are my entire world. Because to me, you would be. I survived being thrown away. I survived broken legs. I survived fear. And I came out sweet🥰 I don’t just want a home. I deserve one. Could it be yours?
