Neutered/shots/microchip/ hwtest Adoption fee $495.00 MAX was in a kill shelter, he is a big strong boy, who needed a big breed lover to understand his needs. He's loving, active, would be protective of his people, if he felt they were in danger. But, really enjoys just being a big goofball! He's only 1.5 years. He was in a home with small kids & would bump & knock them down, so they took this gorgeous boy to a pound. He's now fully vetted & looking for an appropriate, knowledgeable home, with good vet references! Breed knowledgeable preferred. He's not a couch potato, that's a couple years away!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.December 7, 2024, 2:20 am

You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website.Dolby has Dilated Cardiomyopathy (DCM) - LLHello there! My name is Dolby. I  came from a county shelter to the beautiful Olive Branch,  in hopes of a chance of finding my forever. I'm neutered and also up to date on all my vaccines along with preventatives, my heartworm/Lyme/erlicia/anaplasmosis test is all negative, but I have been diagnosed with Dialated Cardiomyopathy (DCM). It is where the left ventracle of my heart is not pumping blood efficiently. I am on a long term medication that will help my heart function correctly I know that with this condition there is no cure, but I would love to find someone to spend my precious days with and give me all the love that I deserve. I love to run and play outside. I also give lots of kisses and am very  affectionate. I get along well with other dogs, but if you have any furry friends I'd like to meet them before entering your home. I walk well on a leash and like to take walks. I may even be a couch potato if you'd let me. If your interested please take the time and head over to our website (www.olivebranchwv.org)  and fill out an application... Hope to see you soon!Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 5, 2024, 1:53 pm

**WE ARE CURRENTLY DOING ADOPTIONS BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. YOU MUST CALL TO SCHEDULE AN APPOINTMENT IF YOU'RE INTERESTED IN ADOPTING. PLEASE LEAVE US A VOICEMAIL IF YOU ARE UNABLE TO REACH US. THANK YOU FOR YOUR PATIENCE AND UNDERSTANDING.- CCDP STAFF** Hi there. My name is Lanie. I'm about 1 year old and I weigh about 52 lbs. I was found as a stray in the Columbiana area and I was brought into the pound. I am a very sweet, affectionate, energetic girl looking for a loving new family to join. I would do best in an active family that can spend a little time working with me on my manners and training, but overall I'm a pretty good little girl. I have done well with the other dogs here at the pound and I like to play. I have been very clean in my kennel here at the pound and I appear to be at least mostly housebroken. If you're looking for a sweet dog to add to your family, please consider adopting me. Our adoption fee is $152. We accept cash, check or credit/ debit cards for adoption fees. If you pay using a credit or debit card, a convenience fee of 2.39% will also be applied. If paying by check, you will need 2. One Check will be for the dog license, and one will be for your dog's adoption fee, which includes heartworm testing (for dogs 6 months of age old and older), parvo/distemper vaccine, rabies vaccine, bordetella vaccine, 3 days of panacur de-wormer, spay or neuter surgery, microchip, and a current Ohio dog license. We DO offer foster to adopt. (We will NOT accept cash for foster to adopt). We highly recommend you do a foster to adopt with your new dog if you are not 100% sure your new dog is going to work out in your home. Foster to adopt gives you a couple of weeks with the dog to make sure they are a good fit with your family before your payment is processed and the adoption is finalized. ALL DOGS/PUPPIES WILL BE SPAYED OR NEUTERED unless a health issue prohibits the surgery from being performed. Not all dogs posted for adoption are spayed/ neutered yet. If you're driving a long distance to adopt, please verify that the vetting process has been completed and dog you're interested in adopting is still available for adoption. The above mentioned vetting is all included in your adoption fee. The adoption fee and what is included in the adoption fee is NON-NEGOTIABLE. Adoptions MUST be done at the pound and in person as there is paperwork to fill out and an adoption contract that must be signed by the adopter. This means you must be willing to travel to our shelter to adopt. If the dog you're interested in adopting has medical conditions or injuries which require medical treatment, we ask that you help with the medical bills, in addition to their adoption fee if possible so we can continue to help the dogs coming in who need additional vet care. We are a county run shelter, therefore we cannot control our intake or the health or behavior of the dogs that come in to our shelter. Although we try our hardest to place all of our adoptable dogs, there are certain circumstances in which any dog in our care could be euthanized at any time and without further notice (IE: sudden untreatable medical condition or injury, temperament or behavioral problems which may not be apparent when the dog first arrives, etc.), therefore all dogs at our shelter should be considered urgent. We try our absolute hardest to never have to euthanize for space and have not had to do so for many years thanks to the ongoing support from the public and high adoption rates. Please remember; the adoption of a more highly adoptable dog will mean more time for the less adoptable dog in the kennel next to him! Shelter hours are Monday-Friday: 8 am- 4 pm. Saturday, Sunday and holidays: 8 am - 12 pm. Adoptions are always welcome any day of the week/ weekend and on holidays. We are here everyday to care for the dogs and the best way to make our day is to see our dogs go to loving families. There is nobody in the office on Saturday, Sunday or holidays, so therefore, we are unable to answer or return phone calls over the weekend. We are only staffed to take care of the dogs and do adoptions over the weekends/ on holidays. Can't adopt a dog? We would love to have more volunteers who are able to spend time with our dogs! The dogs LOVE going for walks and the socialization and exercise helps make the dogs more adoptable. Not good with cats, Spayed or Neutered,
Story
Hi, my name is Fury! But I'm more like a happy, gentle breeze that wants to have fun! You might recognize my name from the famous character Director Nick Fury of the Marvel movies, I'm kinda like him: I love being the center of attention and don't like it when people take my stuff! I am a big dog! With my mixed Doberman Pinscher/Black Labrador genes I am a whopping 52#/lbs and have a ton of energy and muscle that needs to be worked! Because of this it would be best if I was paired with an active family who knows how to keep a dog mentally stimulated and respects my boundaries well. No apartment living for me please! No cats or small children either! My caretakers have learned some important things about me: I am a chow-hound and will try to eat anything I can get my hands on! So please leave food out of reach from me or I'll swoop it all up. Secondly, I would prefer if people didn't grab things that I have in my mouth, it's mine not yours hehe! Overall, I am a big-hearted dog who wants to go play, be adventurous, have fun with other people and dogs! I am however not such a big fan of car rides, they make my tummy feel sick eww! I love all people and dogs, am a healthy, happy boy and just want to find my home. Let's work together and find it!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)
