Story
Maeve is a huge goofball. 62lbs, active, silly, and super loving and loyal. She is the most loveable floof! She learns fast and knows sit, stay, lay down, paw, and touch. She has never met a dog she didn't love and want to be best friends with, and is good with cats as well. She does suffer from anxiety and could really use some additional training and medicine to help her feel more calm around strangers. Maeve would be happiest with her own fenced in yard to play in. She loves going for hikes and runs, camping, car rides, and just snuggling up on the couch with her bestie.

Story
Quinn has been rehomed once before and I am looking for her forever home as I can no longer take care of her. She is a big cuddler, loves walks, and has all the energy in the world. She is definitely in need of a more active lifestyle until she (maybe) mellows out with age. She really is a wonderful pup and deserves so much love.

Story
You can fill out an adoption application online on our official website. Online Adoption Application › Yo what up. The official name is Xanadu but around here they call my Xander. I was left on one of those foster home things front porch. It's pretty messed up man. I mean I am fully vetted, heartworm negative, and not one of those crazy baby dog things.  Xander does great at the dog park and loves to play with other dogs, which is good because he is an active boy. His foster parents walk him 3-5 miles every day. Because of his active lifestyle, we recommend a home with no small children. As mentioned before, Xander loves dogs, so he would love to have a doggy companion. When Xander isn't running around, he spends his time watching TV (He's a great Sunday football companion).  Xander is house trained, crate trained, knows basic commands, and loves the dog park. He is learning to use a leash but pulls a lot still. He does have some separation issues and will bark at people. Xander is an amazing dog, that still needs some training. He is looking for a someone knowledgable of the doberman breed but loving pawrent to love him. **Xander's perfect home would have another dog, older or no children, and someone with doberman breed experience.   To apply for adoption visit: https://www.pawfectmatch.org/info/adoption      Visit this organization's web site to see any additional information available about this pet.November 6, 2024, 2:18 pm

Story
Timone is a mature 5 year old-with a beautiful caramel coat-standing tall-reminding you of the Rhodesian Ridgeback breed. He is in good physical condition at 77 pounds, knows sit, takes treats with a gentle mouth, and has very good leash manners. He has no reactivity walking in or out of the kennels past the other dogs, but he will sometimes bark at others when outside. He is most comfortable in his kennel, sitting quietly, waiting for his turn to go out for a walk and potty. Timone has a very gentle spirit--he is a mature, beautiful dog, who would love to go home with his family. One of our volunteers took him home for a day to give him a break from the shelter. According to them, he was the ideal work from home buddy! He was calm and didn't make a peep when they were working. He was also very respectful, he never jumped on them, and being potty trained made it a breeze. He does look for something to chew on immediately so it is important that when he finds his next home that they have proper toys for dogs who love to chew. Timone also went for a 2 mile hike and was an amazing walking buddy. He's easy to walk and very responsive to his human; he waited patiently for joggers and bikers to pass. He even saw a few squirrels and kept a respectful distance. Timone is unsure of the car but rides well once inside.During playgroups, Timone performed like a silly wild bronco bucking around for fun. He was delighted to engage with another female and bounce around with her. Timone appropriately provided a correction to her when she was a little overzealous. He truly seemed to enjoy himself. His best match would be a tolerant, confident playful female. If you're interested in learning more about him, please reach out to our Volunteer Matchmakers at wcac.matchmaker@gmail.com with the subject line "Timone 251219."Timone is up to date on vaccinations, flea/tick, and heartworm prevention, is microchipped, and will be neutered prior to going home. If you have dogs or cats, we recommend slow introductions over time. If you have children in your home, we recommend supervision between animals and children at all times. Story
This is Huncho. He's only 17 weeks old but he is just the sweetest and smartest boy. We adopted him from the local animal shelter in Raleigh, NC around 10 weeks old. Since then he has been house-trained, knows how to sit, stay and come and loves to play. He is full of energy, typical for a puppy, but as long as you take him on walks or let him run around he will fall right asleep. He truly is the sweetest boy and loves to cuddle and play with his toys. He has been loving the dog park, exploring the new environment, meeting new dogs, and going on walks. We are looking for an owner(s) who is able to put in the time to train and love him. He deserves a loving home that is able to watch him grow. We will miss this sweet boy and are so sad we have to leave him. We will provide the crate, toys, bed, shampoo, treats, leash, and leftover food once adopted.

Story
Roxie Breed: Miniature Pinscher Gender: Female, spayed DOB: 8-22-22 Weight: ~7 pounds Microchipped Adoption Fee: $350 They say it's important to be smarter than your dog and, well, Roxie has definitely put her foster family to the test! She can open doors, boxes, and containers. She can climb things and get over, through, and under things in the home that were unexpected. She is an amazingly agile dog! When Roxie isn't running through the house with her foster brothers and sisters playing a wild game of chase, she sits and watches. She observes her fur family and human foster family with intelligent eyes. She plans ahead. But as long as there is a lap or shoulder to rest upon, she will crash with her buddies and hang out in a puppy pile up! When Roxie initially came to us, she had a double break in her front leg. It took a couple months to resolve the break. It has now healed beautifully and she has normal use of the leg- something two vets had been uncertain would happen! She is a fun dog, an energetic dog and is ready to learn ANYTHING! Roxie is highly intelligent and needs an active, intelligent family to continue her education, work on her self control, and help her channel her energy into healthy activities! She would be a great agility candidate and we have a lot of wonderful trainers in this area that can help you teach her! She would be great for search and rescue training, as she has an excellent nose, drive, and is small enough to go places larger dogs can't go! Roxie can climb, jump, and get through openings in gates and fences. She cannot get through a privacy fence. Because she is so small and agile we do require her adoptive home have a secure privacy fenced yard.
