We do not want to waste anyone's time if you are not serious about adopting this dog. Zephyr, also known as Zee, is an 8 year old neutered male Doberman Pinscher weighing in at 75lbs. He iscurrently being fostered in Houston, TX and can be transported out of state once an approved adopter is lined up! Zee is a sweet, affectionate boy who absolutely adores people of all ages. He has been wonderful with children, neighborhood kids, and even elderly family members, showing a gentle, intuitive nature as if he knows when to be extra careful. Though he can be shy at first, once he warms up his goofy personality shines through—he’ll hop like a bunny when he’s excited, soak up every bit of affection, and happily cuddle up next to you or sleep by your side at night. Zee loves outings with his humans too, whether it’s a car ride, a trip for ice cream, or hanging out with friends—he’s happiest when he’s included and getting attention. Zee has a moderate energy level and is an easy going guy. He enjoys playing tug, fetch (even if he doesn’t always bring the ball back!), and romping around the yard. He’s fully house trained, can be left alone with full run of the house without any issues, and is not destructive. Zee walks on a leash with a harness and is still working on pulling, especially when he spots squirrels, cats, or dogs, but he’s improving with consistency. He is happy to hang out with his bone if his humans are busy! Zee would thrive best as the only pet in the home. He does not do well with other dogs and has a high prey drive with cats, so a single-pet household is ideal. That said, he makes up for it by being incredibly loving, loyal, and people-focused. Some of his cutest quirks include chasing dragonflies like a Disney princess, stealing socks just for attention, and “goosing” you if he feels ignored—he clearly finds it hilarious. Angel is a very sweet female we think could be a Doberman/rottweiler mix born about 11/24. She’s great with other dogs and ignores cats. Angel came to her foster home very shy and shut down, but she’s happy and comfortable now. She’ll be timid at first in her new home, but will come out of her shell given time, love and patience. It’s rewarding to help rehab dogs who have not had a very nice start in life, but who end up with a great life! She doesn’t have an aggressive bone in her body. If she’s afraid, she’ll cry but never offer to snap or bite. It will be helpful to have a fenced in yard in case it takes a bit for her to get comfortable with her new person walking on a leash. Little Zalli is a sweet, snuggly, playful little whirlwind! She's around six weeks old (as of 12/15) and we expect she'll be medium-large when she's grown-- we don't know anything about Zalli's parents, but she looks similar to a Doberman, and behaves like one! She's a smart cookie, learning so much and working on potty training. The older puppy and adult dog in her foster home have been great role models and playmates! Zalli's ideal home has experience with Dobermans or other working breeds, with a commitment to socialization and training. Piper is a Pharaoh Hound-Pit Bull mix and came from an abusive family. She was both caged and chained within the cage in a confined area where she could barely turn around. She was fed table scraps if she was fed anything at all and was starved to the point that she had no choice but to consume her own poo to stay alive. What little water she had was muddy and not drinkable. Fast forward to today and you are looking at one of the most affectionate, healthy animals who loves everybody. Piper is crate trained and weights approximately 35 pounds and will not get any larger. She is a high energy dog and would be great with kids. Piper is a hugger and would make a great indoor family dog. She does not like thunder, gun shots or fireworks. She loves to play keep away with her toys. She seems to be good with other dogs, but would not be a good fit with cats or other small animals. Piper will be a cuddle buddy. Piper is a resilient survivor and deserves the very best!
