Story
Nine year old Lulu is now part of the DRNM family because a failed adoption from the city shelter brought her to us after she, unfortunately, ate one of the owner's chickens and has shown interest in the cats. Even though she is a petite Doberman, we were concerned about her emaciated state. She was given a clean bill of health and is slowly putting on weight. Lulu is a sweet, playful girl who enjoys car rides. We believe she has spent her life as an 'outside' dog because she is not completely housebroken, but she is learning quickly! Lulu is crate trained and gets along with older children and other dogs. She is an active dog for a senior girl! As is common with 93% of blue Dobermans, Lulu has color dilution alopecia (CDA), a genetic skin condition. CDA causes patchy hair loss and thinning, and can also lead to flaky or itchy skin. The hair coat may appear dry, dull, and poor quality. There is no cure for CDA, but treatments, such as good food and supplements, can help manage symptoms. Please complete an adoption application at http://www.dobermanrescuenm.com. A $150.00 adoption fee applies.

Story
Say hello to Dobby! A good Samaritan rescued Dobby from a homeless man but as he is moving out of the country in the next year, cannot keep the dog long-term. Best guess is that Dobby is 4.5 years old. He has a very easy going demeanor, gets along with other dogs, likes people and enjoys car rides. He knows basic commands and understands what NO means. Dobby is a sweet and affectionate red boy. He likes to run at the dog park and to be chased by other dogs. He is active but also enjoys being a couch potato. A $300 adoption fee applies. Please go to www.dobermanrescuenm.org and apply to make this good boy a part of your family!

Story
Available Young Playful Doberman Pinscher Approximate DOB 8/1/2023 – About 60 lbs  Bowser is beautiful, high energy, and eager to please. Very people oriented, focused, smart, treat and toy motivated. He is one of those dogs that is always at your side. Loves, loves, loves to play fetch and tug. Bowser is leash trained, crate trained, house trained, dog door trained, and has some basic obedience training. Loads and rides nicely in the car.   Bowser has an amazing temperament. Wonderful with everyone he meets even small children. He does get excited at times and will jump up and sometimes mouth (he is learning to control those impulses LOL). Bowser loves to play with other dogs though he can be a bit dominant at times with toys.  Bowser would do wonderful in a home with an active person/family he can follow around, go running and hiking with, camping, and playing with all day and then cuddling on the couch in the evening.  He would do best in a home with no cats. Story
These two 15-week old cuties were pulled from the euthanasia list at the Roswell shelter. The pups are now safe in a DRNM foster home. They immediately visited our vet and are being treated for kennel cough and were prescribed Doxycycline since the little girl has a bit of a rattle in her chest. Margie (white freckled front paws) and her brother, Markie, will be available for adoption once they have gained a little weight and recuperated from kennel cough. We believe they are Dobie/Cattledog mixes, which mean they will be wicked smart (and a little bossy 😉! Adoption fee is $250.00. Please complete an application at www.dobermanrescuenm.org!
