Rooster is located in TEXAS. There are not enough homes for all the unwanted dogs down there, so he is willing to relocate for a good, loving, forever home. This handsome boy was found as a stray running out in the country. He is approximately 7 months old and weighs 45 pounds. He will probably weigh in the 60-pound range when fully grown. We are not sure of his breed mixture but think he may have some lab and Doberman in him. Rooster has a great personality and disposition. He loves all of the other rescue dogs, big and small. He loves people and will lie at your feet whenever he can. He loves water and the garden fountain is his favorite spot to hang out and keep cool. Rooster is a very sweet and goofy puppy. He is pretty much house-trained and runs to go outside with his buddies. He will need some leash training and would probably do better with a harness. We have no idea of how he is with cats. Rooster loves to run and play with his dog friends and toys. He may not be suitable for a home with small children because he may knock them over when running and playing. Rooster needs a fully fenced-in and secure yard. He will be a great dog for hiking or going to the dog park. He is an active boy and will run around the yard with a toy in his mouth playing tag with his buddies. He likes to be the leader and have everyone chase him. Rooster would do well either as an only dog or with other dogs. Rooster is a healthy and happy boy. He is neutered, fully vaccinated, (DAPP, Bordatella, rabies, canine influenza), and microchipped. He is receiving monthly heartworm and flea/tick preventatives. Roosters' adoption fee includes the cost of ground transport by a reputable and trusted transport company to Ridgefield NJ, Rye NY, or Nanuet NY.Rooster resides with our friends at Shaggy Dog Rescue and cannot be transported until after he is adopted. Hello Northeast people, I’m a handsome Doberman Pinscher mix named Norris. I am a mid-sized boy who doesn't shed, 1 year old and 40 lbs and somehow I ended up in a NYC Animal Shelter sitting on death row. This was definitely not how I expected my life to go because I’m nice and friendly and should be someone’s forever dog. Thankfully, 4 Little Paws Rescue bailed me out and now I’m having fun and making friends in my new foster home in Connecticut. My foster mom says I get along great with everyone, and am a little shy with strangers but warm up quickly. I’m great with other dogs, enjoying an active playtime and fun games like tug-o-war and fetch, and I've learned some commands like sit, lay down, and give a paw, so I’m obviously smart! I love affection and praise, pets and attention and I love to be with my people, going for walks, playing in the yard, or just spending time together. I’m very well potty trained, only bark to alert, fine in a crate, sometimes sleeping in my crate and sometimes in bed with my foster mom.
