Story
My name is AJ and I am estimated to be between 3-5 years old.    I feel so blessed that I was able to get into a rescue after being picked up as a stray and sent to a shelter.    Shelters and rescues all over the country are full so I am very lucky to have been rescued. I am an all natural boy with a full tail.    Sometimes I like to chase it! I am friendly and playful.   I am an adolescent male who needs training and patience.    I need to go to a home with people who have current Doberman experience who have the time and patience to work with me. I cannot go into a home with little dogs or cats. If you are interested in me please go to www.doberescue-ne.orgAll of our dogs are current with all shots, are on heart worm preventative monthly and are neutered/spayed. All dogs are tail docked. All of the above Dobes are pure breed Dobermans unless otherwise noted. We hope you can find a place in your heart and your home for one of our rescue Dobes. Please Note:In most cases we require a fenced yard.We do not place our rescue dogs in homes with very young children (under the age of 8 years). We set these limitations, not because of aggression issues with our dogs, but because Dobermans are generally large, active dogs and can easily knock down, run over or easily trip a small child, causing a serious fall. Also, we reserve the right to refuse adoption for any reason. Our adoption area encompasses Nebraska, Iowa and South Dakota.Copyright © 2007 - Omaha Doberman RescueFor more information or to fill out an adoption request please visithttp://www.doberescue-ne.org/October 14, 2024, 12:21 am

Story
Make way for Skye! Skye is a female Doberman (b. 8/2020) looking to find her home. She is housebroken and knows some commands. She is looking for a place where she will be the only pet.  She does not do well around other animals or kids.  She is protective, especially if strangers come to the door unannounced.  She is used to being kenneled if there are strangers or others around.  Skye needs a secure fenced yard with room for her to run and play. If you're looking for a loveable and well behaved girl, fill out an application for Skye today! The suggested adoption donation for Skye is $375, which includes a lifetime of free relationship-based training for any behavioral problems (not obedience training). Muddy Paws is a 501c3 non-profit organization meaning that part of your donation MAY be TAX DEDUCTIBLE. We are a 100% volunteer rescue committed to giving animals a second chance at life. All donations go toward that mission. Adoption fees are the primary source of funding for the cost of veterinary care for our animals.  In 2022 alone, we provided animal Healthcare totaling over $399,000 covered mainly through adoption fees. Please Note: A Courtesy Post designates that an animal is still in the home of its owner and not in a Muddy Paws foster. This means that our exposure to the animal is limited since we only assist the owner in finding a new home for their pet. From time to time owner,s find a new furever home for their pets outside of Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue, and there is a delay in removing them from our site. We apologize if the Courtesy Post you apply to adopt is unavailable for adoption. Information about the adoption process: All adoptions require a completed ADOPTION APPLICATION. Once your application has completed our prescreen steps, we will put you in touch with the animal’s foster to see if you and the pet are a good match. If so, we will arrange a meeting for you and the animal. The adoptions for all of our animals will take place in the Omaha, NE area and must be done by the adoptive family in person. We do not ship or deliver.  Please Note: We are a RESCUE, which is different from a shelter. We conduct veterinary and personal reference checks, and a Home Visit (Virtual in some cases)  during the application approval process. We always select the right applicant for each animal, based on the animal’s needs. If you and the animal are not a good match, we will help you select another animal, or we will keep your approved application on file for 6 months.  To learn about Muddy Paws Last Chance Rescue or donate to our animals, please visit our website at MuddyPawsSecondChanceRescue.com or our Facebook Page Muddy Paws Second Chance Rescue Inc. ##2084653##

Story
Meet Flaco: Your Loyal and Loving Companion! Age: Approx. 7 years old Weight: Around 12 lbs Flaco is a charming little guy who forms deep bonds with his humans and will quickly become your shadow. He loves being petted and will gently remind you not to stop if you dare try! He's also housetrained and has a sweet, affectionate nature. Flaco's Ideal Home: Prefers Women: Flaco has a special fondness for women and may need some time to warm up to men. He will bark at new men initially, but with patience, he calms down and becomes friendly. Not a Fan of Cats: Flaco isn't comfortable around cats, so a cat-free home would be best. Fun Facts: Snuggle Buddy: Once Flaco feels safe and starts to trust you, he'll become your ultimate snuggle buddy, often burrowing into your neck for extra comfort. Zoomies Alert: He enjoys playful zoomies from time to time, adding a burst of energy to his otherwise calm demeanor. Foodie and Blanket Lover: As a typical MinPin, Flaco loves food and has a special affinity for sleeping under covers. Flaco's foster mom says he's a doll, especially after he gets over his initial stranger-danger barking. He's been wonderful with her female friends once he gets past the newness and just wants to be petted.  Flaco likes to play with other dogs too.  Are you ready to welcome this adorable, food-loving, blanket-snuggling MinPin into your home? Flaco is waiting for his forever lady (or family) to shower with love and companionship.   To help pay for vet bills and care (transportation, food, toys, etc..) a $300 donation is requested at the time of adoption. All of our adoptions are contingent upon an approved application, home visit, reference check, obedience training agreement, and signing of adoption contract. All our dogs are spayed/neutered, vaccinated, and microchipped before adoption. Our dogs are companion animals that live indoors as part of your family. Please do not apply if your plan is to have them as outside dogs, garage dogs, porch dogs or outside kennel dogs.  We do not ship dogs.   All of our dogs are in private foster homes. We are not a shelter with hours. A visit can be arranged after an adoption questionnaire has been filled out and sent in. Please try to email first. We are all volunteers that work so we can not easily take or make phone calls.January 10, 2025, 6:19 pm
