This adorable little girl and her siblings came in to rescue last winter after they were dumped on a back country road. Their mother was found deceased, so we took the puppies in to try to save them. They were very sick initially but are very healthy now. Blair is a gentle little girl, but does love to run and play with other dogs. She has done amazing with her house and crate training. She is so deserving of a wonderful home to call her own. She is fostered in East TN, but transportation is included in the adoption fee and provided by Rescue Riders LLC. In the home, she is a wonderfully affectionate companion who simply wants to be close to her people. Whether she’s lying at the foot of the bed, quietly following you from room to room, or relaxing comfortably in her crate, Nelly is happiest when she’s near the humans she trusts. While she is very loving at home, Nelly can be shy and cautious in new environments. She takes a little time to feel comfortable, but with patience and kindness she blossoms into a loyal, affectionate girl. Once she trusts you, Nelly becomes incredibly sweet, submissive, and happy to give and receive plenty of kisses. She is friendly with both people and other dogs, though her timid nature means she appreciates calm introductions and a peaceful environment.   She would do best with kind, respectful children who understand how to give her a little time and space to warm up Nelly has a moderate energy level and enjoys getting exercise, especially when she has room to run. One of her favorite things is stretching her legs in a fenced-in yard where she can burn off some energy and explore freely.  Nelly is continuing to build confidence on a leash, but like many sensitive dogs, she can become startled in new situations and is considered a flight risk. A secure, fenced yard and mindful handling will help her feel safe as she continues to gain confidence. She is fully potty trained and goes outside for all of her bathroom needs, she will whine to tell you she needs to go- such a smart girl! Nelly also does well in her crate and sees it as a cozy place to settle and rest. She knows the command “sit” and is eager to keep learning as she builds confidence. When it comes to treats, Nelly is not picky—she happily accepts all kinds of treats, bones, and enjoys chewing on Kongs. She hasn’t shown much interest in toys yet, but that may change as she continues to feel more comfortable and playful. Because Nelly can be timid and a bit skittish, she does best in a calm home without overwhelming commotion. With a patient adopter who will give her time to adjust, she will truly shine. Munich, as German as the beer!! Now, I am not a beer drinker, but I have heard that German beer is da best!! So, I am a miniature Doberman/shepherd mix. And at 33#, I am smaller in stature but not personality!! I am such a happy guy, saved from the pound by the rescue team. The pound peeps were so happy for me because they knew I am a special boy and now I am safe and ready for adoption ! I don't have a napoleon complex. Hi, my name is Fury! But I'm more like a happy, gentle breeze that wants to have fun! You might recognize my name from the famous character Director Nick Fury of the Marvel movies, I'm kinda like him: I love being the center of attention and don't like it when people take my stuff! I am a big dog! With my mixed Doberman Pinscher/Black Labrador genes I am a whopping 52#/lbs and have a ton of energy and muscle that needs to be worked! Because of this it would be best if I was paired with an active family who knows how to keep a dog mentally stimulated and respects my boundaries well. No apartment living for me please! No cats or small children either! My caretakers have learned some important things about me: I am a chow-hound and will try to eat anything I can get my hands on! So please leave food out of reach from me or I'll swoop it all up. Secondly, I would prefer if people didn't grab things that I have in my mouth, it's mine not yours hehe! Overall, I am a big-hearted dog who wants to go play, be adventurous, have fun with other people and dogs! I am however not such a big fan of car rides, they make my tummy feel sick eww! Meet Truffles -“The Ears Have It!” Few critters in the animal kingdom have ears that can move separately, up/down, folded, or crisscrossed. The magnificent Truffles is one of the few! This gorgeous, friendly, athletic gal is endowed with huge stick up bat signal ears. When not receiving transmissions, one or both of her giant receivers crisscross atop her head. She loves long walks on her leash, zooming, playing with balls & stuffies, tug-of-war and of course, cuddling. Truffles was born with a genetic condition called mega esophagus that requires a bit of extra time & special steps at meals. She has a custom chair that allows her to eat in an upright position. Truffles eagerly gets into her chair as she is quite food motivated. She sits in her chair for 15 -20 minutes after eating. She cannot have treats. And that is it! You might notice her throat moving like a bullfrog when she is sleeping, due to the enlarged esophagus, but that is nothing to worry about. She is intelligent, active, affectionate, and eager to please. She is ideal for an active family or individual. More Attributes!
