Hi! I'm Gillis. From his foster: Gillis is an extremely sweet boy who just loves to snuggle! Once he feels secure, you'll see his true, affectionate personality shine through. He has come leaps and bounds with socialization! Athletic and agile, Gillis has plenty of energy to burn and loves playing in the backyard. He'd make an excellent running partner for active individuals! Gillis is potty trained. He currently lives with another foster pup and the resident cat. He loves playing with the other dog and is curious about other dogs during walks. Gillis barks when he is crated during the day, so he will need a home without shared walls. I can't emphasize enough how sweet Gillis is. He's surprisingly docile when you earn his trust, allowing you to check his teeth or handle his paws with ease. Gillis slept perfectly in his crate the first night, but he quickly bonded with me so I have been letting him sleep in my bed. It has worked wonderfully, and he's earned my trust around the house. Hi, my name is Fury! But I'm more like a happy, gentle breeze that wants to have fun! You might recognize my name from the famous character Director Nick Fury of the Marvel movies, I'm kinda like him: I love being the center of attention and don't like it when people take my stuff! I am a big dog! With my mixed Doberman Pinscher/Black Labrador genes I am a whopping 52#/lbs and have a ton of energy and muscle that needs to be worked! Because of this it would be best if I was paired with an active family who knows how to keep a dog mentally stimulated and respects my boundaries well. No apartment living for me please! No cats or small children either! My caretakers have learned some important things about me: I am a chow-hound and will try to eat anything I can get my hands on! So please leave food out of reach from me or I'll swoop it all up. Secondly, I would prefer if people didn't grab things that I have in my mouth, it's mine not yours hehe! Overall, I am a big-hearted dog who wants to go play, be adventurous, have fun with other people and dogs! I am however not such a big fan of car rides, they make my tummy feel sick eww! I love all people and dogs, am a healthy, happy boy and just want to find my home. Let's work together and find it!! Willow is a sweet and gentle almost 7-month-old Doberman mix, currently weighing in at 34 pounds. She came into the rescue a bit timid, but she’s warming up beautifully in her foster home and showing her tender personality each day.Willow is completely house trained and crate trained; she happily spends time in her crate when her people are away and sleeps soundly in it through the night. This lovely girl gets along well with everyone – she’s fantastic with other dogs, gentle with cats, and wonderful around kids.Willow is still building her confidence, but she’s making steady progress. With a bit of patience and love, she’s sure to blossom into an incredible, loyal companion. Forever in Foster CareReina will be a forever foster in DRM's Program and is NOT AVAILABLE FOR ADOPTION. Meet Reina! This girl is 7 years old and is handicapable! Reina was originally rescued from a high kill shelter by an all breed rescue. It was apparent she suffered from neurological issues, but nothing could be found on x-rays of her spine. DRM then stepped in and welcomed Reina into our program to get the help needed so she can thrive! Reina was born with a condition that caused the nerves from her back legs to brain to not map completely. Sometimes she can be a bit wobbly and sometimes she suffers from incontinence. She is on a special diet that has helped a lot with her potty issues though! Reina’s favorite activities include snuggling her humans, chewing on bones, going for walks, playdates with her friends and exploring the yard. She also LOVES to chase rabbits and squirrels! When she’s tuckered out, she’ll sunbathe looking out the window or hang out with her foster family. Reina has lived with other dogs and cats – she’s awesome with dogs but can be very curious about her feline friends. Reina is super smart and knows all the basic commands. Her recall is great (as long as she’s not scouting for bunnies or squirrels) and she is very food motivated to learn anything else you’d like to teach her.
