Story
Hi, my name is Fury! But I'm more like a happy, gentle breeze that wants to have fun! You might recognize my name from the famous character Director Nick Fury of the Marvel movies, I'm kinda like him: I love being the center of attention and don't like it when people take my stuff! I am a big dog! With my mixed Doberman Pinscher/Black Labrador genes I am a whopping 52#/lbs and have a ton of energy and muscle that needs to be worked! Because of this it would be best if I was paired with an active family who knows how to keep a dog mentally stimulated and respects my boundaries well. No apartment living for me please! No cats or small children either! My caretakers have learned some important things about me: I am a chow-hound and will try to eat anything I can get my hands on! So please leave food out of reach from me or I'll swoop it all up. Secondly, I would prefer if people didn't grab things that I have in my mouth, it's mine not yours hehe! Overall, I am a big-hearted dog who wants to go play, be adventurous, have fun with other people and dogs! I am however not such a big fan of car rides, they make my tummy feel sick eww! I love all people and dogs, am a healthy, happy boy and just want to find my home. Let's work together and find it!! Local adoption fee is $200 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $400 (includes transport to your area - $50 Temporary Fuel Charge will be added)

Story
Red here, and do I have a story to tell, and it is not always happy ;( I was dumped at the pound after being shot in the back leg. I am an absolute doll, so none of my rescuers really understand how someone could do this to me... I am literally only 8 months old. So despite my ruff beginning, I am a survivor and I am THRIVING in the rescue! I love everyone, I am playful and silly and all goofy BIG puppy. So my back leg was broken when shot, and it has been healing. The rescue's vet has determined that my leg is healed to the point that even though it is kind of crooked with a bump at my hock, it wouldn't benefit me to have it rebroken to repair it. I use my leg and my only limitation would be that I cannot be a running dog- I can however be a playing dog, I can be a cuddling dog and I can be a goofy dog. I am a Doberman and will likely be 75-80# full grown. And my new family needs to know my breed :) I am ready for a wonderful family to adopt me! I love everyone and am great with other dogs and all people. So hurry up and adopt me!! Local adoption fee is $300 (in TX) Out of state adoption fee is $650 (includes transport to your area)

Story
Vesta is a 6 year old Rotti/Doberman mix. She is a very happy, energetic, and playful girl. She loves her people and has been a protector of our chickens. She has lived here since she was a puppy with our child, cat, chickens and a chihuahua. She is good with other dogs, but can be leash reactive. She needs a strong owner and someone with experience with bigger breeds. She loves to play fetch and find it too. She was formally trained, and with some consistent refreshers she will pick that up again quick. I'm happy to include her crate, and toys, leashes and food she has left

Story
We are moving overseas for a temporary job and looking to rehome our beloved pup Archie until we return in January 2026. We adopted Archie in 2014 and he's now the most puppy-faced 10-year-old boy you've ever seen (seriously, we still get stopped on the street constantly asking if he's a puppy!). He has been a loyal companion, witnessing our family grow as we married and welcomed two human babies, now ages 6 and 2. Archie is a top-notch snuggler, full of energy on walks, and incredibly patient with little ones. Until very recently he would run his little heart out at the dog park, consistently faster than dogs half his age. Having spent the first year of his life in shelters, however, he does come with some baggage and still experiences separation anxiety. Archie would do best in a home with at least one person home the majority of the time and/or with another dog to keep him company. He is house-trained, but resists the crate. Please consider taking in our special guy!

Story
Batman is a 3-year-old black and rust male with cropped ears and a natural tail weighing in at 60 pounds. Batman is an energetic, happy dog. He is always wagging his tail and sometimes chasing it. He loves to run and play in the yard with my dogs, especially my 3-year-old female. They play in the yard and in the house. Batman is very curious as to what I’m doing and where I’m going. He will be laying down relaxing but will jump up ready to go where I’m going. He loves attention and giving kisses, he will just melt while being petted. He walks well on the leash with minimal pulling but is all business on a walk, he charges straight ahead. He rides very nicely in the car, curious about his surroundings while safely anchored in the seat. He has done well at learning to sit for his meals and treats, he sometimes gets over excited to go outside and forgets to wait at the door. It’s a work in progress and he has done very nicely being food motivated and eager to please. He is crate trained and goes right in when told to “go lock up.” He likes a filled Kong or other tasty treat or toy while in his crate and will settle in nicely until he thinks it’s time to get out and then gets restless wanting to join the family and go play. He does well out of the crate overnight and sleeps on his bed. He doesn’t seem interested in getting on the furniture. He will run the fence line barking if he sees other dogs and will bark at ones he encounters in public but it’s more that he wants to meet them. He’s probably not cut out for city life and dog parks because of how excited he gets over other dogs. It was challenging for him in a kennel situation also because of how over stimulated he gets. He is totally non-aggressive and has no guarding issues over food or toys with the other dogs. He’s definitely a lover and not a fighter. He is unknown with cats or small children. Batman is an unusually small male with a big personality and full of fun and love. He makes me smile with his tail wagging and how happy he is just enjoying life while waiting for his forever home. Batman is fostered in Virginia. DAR&E adopts to MD, VA, DC, DE, eastern parts of WV and southern parts of PA. Please check with other Doberman rescues in areas not listed.

Story
Meet Coco! She is a sweet, 10-year-old Blue Doberman. She loves to be anywhere and everywhere that you are! Coco is a healthy girl who weighs about 66 pounds and has a docked tail and natural ears. Coco also has a beautiful full coat of fur. Coco is house trained. She is not a fan of being crated so I have left her with run of the house when I am not home without incident. Coco will whine when I am gone so she would be happiest in a home where someone is around most of the time. Coco enjoys using her nose to explore our yard and loves taking walks in our woods and down our road. Coco may jump around and pull on the leash if she sees a cat or other small animal. Coco gets excited when she sees deer. She also loves to relax and lay in the sun when outside! https://youtu.be/Zcscqwxr1EE?si=Lvbu2x4QHIopaVKA Coco enjoys nibbling on a couple of her favorite plush toys and will usually have one or two with her most of the time. She does like to sleep in our bed, but she tends to stay in her spot and isn’t a bed hog. She also likes to lay next to you on the couch. Coco likes meeting new people, including children, and enjoys getting the extra attention from them. Coco is dog reactive and will need a home without other dogs. Coco is not good with cats. Coco loves to take car rides and will keep watch out the windows for most of the ride. Coco goes with me to my office most mornings. We usually do not see any of my coworkers, but when we do, she enjoys meeting them. Coco is a well-mannered girl who allows me to Dremel her nails, bathe her, and wipe her feet when wet before coming inside the house. If you’re looking for an older, calmer Doberman than Coco would be a great companion for you. She is currently located in Virginia. DAR&E adopts to MD, VA, DC, DE, eastern parts of WV and southern parts of PA. Please check with other Doberman rescues in areas not listed.
