Story
Kiara – A Good Dog Who Needs the Right Environment Kiara didn’t get the start most dogs do. She came from a backyard “oops” litter without proper early socialization, which made the world overwhelming early on. Through structured training and consistent guidance at K9netic Pack, she has made a significant transformation into a confident, affectionate, and capable dog. Kiara was previously adopted and returned—not because she is a bad dog, but because the environment was not the right fit. She was placed in a high foot-traffic home with a lot of movement and little structure. For a dog like Kiara, that kind of environment creates overstimulation and confusion. Without clear leadership, she became overwhelmed. She also sheds, which is normal for her breed mix but was a contributing factor for the previous home. This is not a reflection of Kiara’s quality—it’s a reminder that placement matters. Temperament & Behavior Friendly, affectionate, and social with humans of all ages Playful, goofy, and engaging personality Handler-oriented and enjoys connection Does best with structure, routine, and clear expectations Kiara is a working-breed mix—intelligent, aware, and responsive when given direction. Training & Foundation Kiara comes with a strong, professionally built foundation: House manners Leash manners (walks well with no pulling) Socialization and neutrality in public environments Crate familiarity Foundational obedience including the basic 7 commands She understands how to exist in a structured environment and is set up for continued success. Dogs: Dog selective Best with calm, neutral, well-socialized dogs Requires proper, structured introductions Also thrives as the only dog Cats: Shows little interest, has never fully engaged with the cats here on property Children: Kiara is great with humans of all ages and has shown friendly, appropriate interactions. Ideal Home Kiara is best suited for: A structured, lower-chaos home An adopter who will provide leadership and consistency A home that understands working-breed needs Someone prepared for normal shedding of a Doberman/Shepherd mix She is not a “hands-off” dog—but she is absolutely a capable and rewarding one. Final Thoughts Kiara has already proven she can learn, adapt, and grow. She is not the problem—the environment was. In the right home, Kiara will be: Loyal Affectionate Playful Well-mannered and engaged She is a good dog with a strong foundation who simply needs the right structure and placement to thrive. 📍 Located in Poolesville, MD 🐾 Spayed, fully vetted, and professionally trained 📚 Adoption includes post-adoption support through K9netic Pack

Story
Shadow lives up to his name—you won’t take a step without him right by your side. This loyal, affectionate boy is the ultimate companion, always ready to follow his person wherever life leads. He’s incredibly cuddly and has fully embraced his role as a “lap dog,” despite his longer legs—if there’s a way to climb onto you for snuggles, he’ll find it! Shadow is estimated to be 1 1/2 years old. He's approximately 70 pounds, black & tan, with natural ears and a docked tail. Shadow has a playful, slightly mischievous side when left to his own devices, but he understands the household rules and settles nicely in his crate when needed. He also takes his job as neighborhood watch very seriously, keeping a close eye on everything happening outside. He’s still filling out his frame, but don’t let that fool you—this energetic pup loves to run, stretch his legs, and enjoy the outdoors. He has great recall and is very smart, especially when treats are involved! Shadow already knows several commands like sit, down, shake, speak, and come, and he’s eager to keep learning. When it comes to other animals, Shadow is unfazed by cats but can be selective with other dogs. And squirrels? Let’s just say they are his ultimate weakness—so a secure or controlled outdoor space is a must. Car rides are one of his favorite things—whether he’s happily sticking his head out the window or resting it on your shoulder from the back seat, he’s just happy to be along for the ride. At the end of the day, Shadow is all about comfort and connection. He loves long walks just as much as cozy couch time, and when bedtime rolls around, he’ll happily tuck himself under a blanket and sleep soundly through the night. Shadow will thrive in a loving, active home that can give him both adventure and affection. One look into his soulful eyes, and you’ll understand—this sweet boy is ready to be someone’s shadow forever. Shadow is fostered in Virginia. 🐾 DAR&E adopts to MD, VA, DC, DE, eastern parts of WV and southern parts of PA. Please check with other Doberman rescues in areas not listed.

Story
Meet Lincoln, a big (approximately 85 pounds), lovable Doberman puppy with a personality and a heart that’s just as big as he is! He's a 1 year-old blue male Doberman with cropped ears and a docked tail. Lincoln is a sweetheart who enjoys attention and companionship, but he’s also happy to entertain himself with toys or a good bone when you’re busy. He loves being outside, and one of his favorite activities is chasing the Jolly Ball around the yard. Like most young Dobermans, Lincoln has energy and curiosity, and he’ll thrive with a family that enjoys being active and including their dog in daily life. Lincoln is house-trained and crate-trained. When it’s time to relax, Lincoln settles nicely in his crate when unsupervised. He is learning the routine of home life. He sleeps through the night in his crate. Lincoln walks nicely on leash with an Easy Walk harness and already knows “sit,” “paw,” and “crate.” He’s learning not to hop up when greeting new people, and is enrolled in training with his foster. He barks excitedly at other dogs on leash. He is attending doggy daycare and enjoys socializing with other dogs off leash in a controlled environment. Because he’s still a young Doberman, Lincoln will do best with a family that will provide regular mental and physical exercise and continue building on his training. Lincoln is a friendly, young Doberman who is ready to grow up with a family that will give him structure, activity, and plenty of love. In return, he’ll give you loyal companionship and probably plenty of enthusiastic Jolly Ball games. Lincoln is fostered in Virginia. DAR&E adopts to MD, VA, DC, DE, eastern parts of WV and southern parts of PA. Please check with other Doberman rescues in areas not listed.
