UPDATE: Coco “Bean” came to BDR a few months ago, so overweight walking the neighborhood was too much. Today, the slimmer girl is now doing interval training with her foster mom. Her high prey drive makes way for hours in the yard squirrel hunting, she even try to climb the trees with her new figure. She will do better with similar sized dogs. This lady loves and demands cuddles and sometimes you can get a glimpse of a grin. ——————————- Coco is a stunningly beautiful fawn girl that is 8 years old. Her life has been spent being a Mama dog but now it's time for Coco to be spoiled. Her foster Mom says Coco is the sweetest girl she has ever had. Loves to lay in the sunshine. But like many dobies does not care for fireworks or thunderstorms. To soothe her during these stressful times she will carry around her foster Mom's shoe and that makes her feel better. Guess it's like having her puppies again. Currently lives with a very young dobie boy and she tolerates him for the most part. As you can imagine Coco isn't wanting to be bothered with a young pup too much, she has done that enough in life. Coco is looking for a family that wants to treat her like the queen bee that she deserves to be. A stroll around the neighborhood or just relaxing in the yard with her people will be her ideal day.

🌲🪵ADOPT GUNNER🪵🌲 📍Located near Louisville Kentucky 🐾 8month old Male, Doberman 📋67lbs, Neutered and Fully Vetted 🐶Dog Friendly 🐱Kitties are Spooky 👧🏼Older, Dog Savvy Kiddos Preferred 🚧Fully Fenced Backyard Required Gunner is a happy go lucky guy who is full of wiggles and puppy energy. Sadly his mama attacked her litter of pups and Gunner has the scars to prove it. His noggin is a little misshaped and his one eye is a little wonky but it doesn’t slow him down. This charming pup is best buds with a fellow Dobe and a Great Dane, proving size doesn’t matter when it comes to friendship. He’s a crate-trained superstar and potty pro, as long as you offer him frequent trips outside. Now, Gunner might be a bit shy around the fellas, but toss him a tasty treat, and you'll see that tail wagging in no time! He’s currently mastering the art of “settle” when he’s not in his crate, and while his leash skills are still a work in progress, he’s got a serious passion for food, toys, and all things enrichment! This independent guy forms quick bonds with his furry friends and loves a good pat on the head but don't expect that typical Velcro Doberman. Gunner’s dream family has a fenced yard and plenty of time for training and socializing, so if you’re ready for some canine adventures, he’s your pup! 🐾 About Ruby Ruby is a stunning red Doberman with a heart as big as her love for naps! At 3 ½ years old (born in July), she’s finally ready to leave her mama duties behind and enjoy a life of love, comfort, and plenty of chest rubs. With her sleek coat and expressive eyes, she’s as stunning as she is sweet. 💖 Personality & Temperament Ruby is the definition of a cuddle bug. She’s a little shy at first, but once she warms up, she’ll be glued to your side—classic Velcro Doberman! Whether it’s curling up next to you on the couch or snuggling in bed, she’s happiest when she’s close to her humans. She’s gentle, affectionate, and always up for a cozy night in. She’s not a huge fan of being left alone and prefers to have her people nearby whenever possible. Ruby has been around kids of all ages and does great with them! Her foster parents have a teenage son who always has friends coming and going, and she happily greets them with a flutter of her little nub. She was also dropped off at the shelter with two other Dobermans and has been around a few dogs while visiting the vet—she was curious and eager to run right up to them. While she hasn’t been tested with cats, she would likely need a slow introduction to see how she does. 🏡 Home Life & Training This lovely girl is fully potty trained and housebroken, making her an easy fit for any home. She loves lounging on the couch and firmly believes that the best place to sleep is right next to her favorite person. While she enjoys relaxing, she also needs a family that will take her on daily walks or play sessions to keep her happy and healthy. 🚗 Adventures & Fun Facts Ruby is great with loud noises - she even lives with a drummer! She isn’t fazed by loud sounds, making her a great companion in any environment. She also lives for car rides, especially when there’s a pup cup waiting at the end. Crack the window, and she’ll soak in the fresh air with a big Dobie smile. 🏡 The Perfect Home for Ruby Ruby is looking for a loving family that will appreciate her affectionate nature and include her in their daily lives. She bonds deeply with her people and thrives on companionship, so she’d love a home where she doesn’t spend too much time alone. If you’re looking for a devoted, cuddly, and loyal companion, Ruby is ready to be your new best friend! ❤️

Story
Spirit lives up to his name, a very high-spirited fella of 7 years old but don't let that number fool you he certainly doesn't act like a more mature dobie. Loves people and does great with female dogs that are of similar size. However, he has a massive prey drive and CAN NOT be trusted anywhere in the area of a smaller creature, especially a cat or small dog. He has proven this to be true by "catching" one of each. Spirit can and will jump over a 5 foot fence (maybe higher) to get to what he feels he needs to catch. Spirit is soon to go into a training program that will help him with his much needed leash manners along with basic training. He is a very strong boy (over 90 pounds) and never had any leash training. Every person that has met him says Spirit is the sweetest dog. He has great house manners and very respectful of other dogs his size. We have only had him around a female dobie so no idea how he would be with male dogs. Can't wait to see how Spirit does in training, we are sure he will excel since he is such a smart boy.

Story
Weller is the big, gorgeous red boy you’ve been dreaming of! This love bug will be a year old in March. Even at a lanky 75lbs (with filling out to do), he considers himself a lap dog and loves to snuggle. Weller is very food motivated, smart, and enjoys learning. He knows his basic commands - sit, down, shake, stay/come (needs reinforcement but understands the concept), and he has worked some on “watch me” and “leave it.” He is crate trained and house broken (may mark in new surroundings; recently neutered, this should resolve). He is also trained to use potty bells. He does well with dogs of all sizes, as well as cats, although his size and energy can overwhelm small pets, and he is not always aware of where his feet are when he goes bounding around the house. This playful guy would absolutely LOVE to have some other big dog siblings to romp with and a large fenced yard where he can stretch his beautiful, long legs. Weller needs plenty of daily exercise - he’s a great on-leash running partner, and enjoys the dog park. As mentioned before, Weller loves other dogs and is on the submissive side, but he gets very excited when he sees other dogs while on leash, and needs to work on his leash manners and impulse control. He has shown very rare instances of mild resource guarding - this, coupled with his size, “bounciness,” and high energy, best suits him for a home without small children. We recently began using a bark collar (on the sound and vibrate only function) to nix some nuisance barking (like yipping at food sitting on the kitchen counter) and it has been incredibly successful. He’s sensitive and a quick learner. Weller will teach you to keep your laundry off the floor and out of reach - along with pretty much anything else you don’t want gobbled up :) He will SWALLOW socks, underwear, small pieces of fabric, etc. He’s also a blankie-sucker, which is SO dang cute, but occasionally he’ll start to gnaw a hole instead of just suckling - something to be mindful of. He also has a bit of a sensitive stomach; recommend keeping him on a good quality diet, probiotic and making any dietary transitions slowly, introducing new treats one variety at a time, etc. If you’re looking for a big, silly red boy to run, wrestle, romp, and then spoon on the couch with, Weller will not disappoint!!

Story
Nala is an almost 3 year old beautiful blue dobie girl. She gets along great with other dogs, matter of fact she has a best friend in doggy daycare! No kitties for Nala, they are far too interesting for her. Nala loves play time but also can settle down for quiet time to hang out with you. We are told she love cuddle and rubs under her chin and belly. Nala has been to training but could use a refresher on her leash skills. If you are looking for a dobie girl to join your family and you have a nice securely fenced yard this may be the one you have been waiting for.
