All people inquiring about pets listed as Courtesy Listings on the EAPL website and/or EAPL posting adoption boards should contact the current pet owner/rescue/shelter for answers to any questions and for final approval and placement. Please do not contact EAPL  about courtesy listings. The pet owner/rescue/shelter and new owner shall make all arrangements on transferring the pet, information on history, vaccines, etc.  Meet Jerry, my foster dog anxiously looking for his forever home!  Jerry is a smart 2-year-old neutered male with medium energy and will make the perfect family member.  He does NOT pull on the leash and will effortlessly match your pace whether walking or jogging (if you so desire).  He looks to his handler for cues and wants to be a good boy!  He quickly mastered the use of a dog door to potty outside.  Because he is a hound, a fenced-in yard is a must.  He is very respectful of fences.  Jerry likes to play with kids.  Since he is still young, he does pop up on his hind legs sometimes and he lightly taps you with his paws.  We are working on that, though he is very soft in the way he does it.  He is NOT the typical "nose to the ground" type of hound and pays more attention to people than dogs.  He would love to continue with some training and being the adventurous sort, sees training as a new adventure.   Jerry is being fostered in Black Forest, CO but came from the San Antonio shelter which is quite stressful and full of many dogs.  He was picked up as a stray.  Most likely, he had irresponsible owners who did not provide a secure backyard.  As a result, the best thing for Jerry would be a home without other pets for the time being.  Previously, he got along well with other dogs while he was awaiting transport to Colorado.  He did not appreciate puppy behavior from our other foster dog; hence my suggestion for a 1-dog family for now.  I do not think an additional dog at some point would be out of the question.  He has good social manners, but the ideal situation would be a human family for the time being.  He would love to be someone's hiking partner, but he can chill out and fall asleep for hours too.    He comes when called and you can literally hold the leash with 2 fingers, as he does not pull.  He is treat motivated and takes treats gently from your hand.  When we have passed other dogs on the trail, he did not bark or growl.  He plays wonderfully with my 8-year-old daughter with a wagging tail!   He can also be picked up to be loaded in the car and or will try to jump in if it is not too high for him.  He rides well in the car and is well-behaved for the vet.  Jerry likes to be around family members and does equally well with men and women.  His vaccines and heartworm prevention are all current.  Please reach out to learn more about Jerry who is being fostered for Legends of the Paws Animal Rescue.  A donation to the rescue will be required in lieu of an adoption fee.   Thank you, Shannon 719-466-0808 Shannonhansford1@yahoo.com   November 25, 2024, 9:17 am

Story
Finn came to us from the southwestern corner of Colorado. He is 6 months old. Finn has made incredible progress learning to trust humans in the time period he has been with us. He will need a patient adopter willing to let him feel comfortable at his own pace. Potty trained as long as he has access to the outdoors, does great with all the other dogs in the house hold. Does feel the kennel is a safe, good place to sleep and have his breakfast and dinner. He's a smart, sweet boy. Finns' ideal living situation is a single family home with a yard, would enjoy a furry friend or an active family to keep him physically and mentally stimulated.  His observation skills are keen and learns from that. Finn would do fine with older children due to his shy demeanor. He is being foster in Southeast Aurora CO.    ##2213138##

Story
Meet Stryker. He is an athletic, friendly and adorable young Australian Kelpie Doberman mix. He is around 3 months old and 15bs. Stryker is friendly, affectionate and well mannered. He gets on well with other dogs of all sizes and children. Here is a video of Stryker:https://youtu.be/XvEN2KPqpzs Stryker ended up in a shelter in Kansas prior to his arrival into Colorado. We don't have any of his backstory. However, in his foster home, he has done well with other dogs, he doesn't have any accidents in the crate overnight, sleeps through the night, he is food motivated, learning some basic commands, does not cry and isn't particularly vocal. Stryker is a picky eater and gets fed like a King. He's possibly just a slow eater. Stryker currently lives with his foster in Denver, Colorado and an adoption meeting would happen at the fosters home. Stryker is fully vaccinated, microchipped, his neuter is included in his adoption fee.Stryker knows just how miraculous a turn his life has taken when he was picked out by Havok's Wolfpack and he is determined to live his new life to the fullest in the most playful and adventurous way, hopefully, with you.His adoption fee is $600.To submit an adoption application for Stryker , head over to our website:http://www.havokswolfpack.com/adopt/orhttps://petstablished.com/adoption_form/18644/genericIf your application is approved, we will contact you promptly. ##2210691##

Story
We initially took him in because he was in a home that was abusing/neglecting him. He has been the sweetest boy but unfortunately we realized we don’t have the time to give him the proper attention & training he deserves & now that we have to re-locate we won’t be able to take him with us. We really hope he finds the perfect person or family that will love him unconditionally & will be able to train him. He’s very smart & a good boy but we don’t have the time to teach him. He will always bring a smile to your face & want to be with you 24/7. LOVES to cuddle, like a lot… lol & he enjoys watching shows with you!

Story
HOMEOWNERSHIP REQUIRED!!! Hi! My name is Twiggy, but my foster mom also calls me Love, Lovie, Baby, Sweetie, Couch Potato and sometimes “Big Old Lug” when I’m taking up her side of the bed at night (how rude!). My likes? I love zoomies in the backyard, snoozing in chairs and car rides. Oh, I also love dogs and people, and snuggling … lots and lots of snuggling. My dislikes? I really don’t like loud trucks, not really fond of lots of traffic, and I don’t like anyone stealing my toys. I’m a 3-year-old Doberman Pincher mix. I’m a fun-loving, big, curvy girl (how dare you ask my weight, but I’m about 70 lbs.!). I’m looking for a long-term relationship. I’ve done the short-term foster thing and, no knock on it, but I really am just looking for a genuine connection with someone who thinks it’s OK for me to snore in their ear at night. I’ve been through board-and-train, so I’m an educated gal. Must haves for my new relationship: a yard with a fence so I can run around and chase squirrels and bunnies; patience with me on a leash (I listen, but have a short attention span); no young kids. It’s not that I don’t like them or can’t be around them. I can! But they’re small and sometimes get in my way. Plus, I don’t really understand personal space, so I don’t want to hurt them. Oh, and not to brag or anything, but I’ve been told I’m a very good kisser. If you want to meet up, contact 2BABR and they will put you in touch with my current foster. We can get together and see what happens. Adoption fee includes the following: Spay/Neuter Rabies Vaccination Distemper / Parvo Vaccines (includes series of 3 for puppies) Bordetella Microchip with prepaid lifetime registration Deworming ##901874##
