She takes her time approaching and getting to know new people, but once she’s comfortable and earns your trust, she will soak up all your love, want to cuddle, and follow you everywhere. She loves it when you play ball with her, blow bubbles for her to chase, and will make you laugh when she entertains herself with a ball. She is always on the alert, and you will feel protected when you become one of her people. She is used to only 1 other (male) dog, It would be best if she goes to a home that is understanding that she doesnt go to a home with little kids, or cats as she’s not been exposed and may not do well around them. She may time and patience to help her get acquainted with another dog if you already have one. Listens to stay, wait, laydown, get down, come, spin, shake, touch, lets go, this way, and leave it. She would thrive in a home that allows for time, routine, consistency, good exercise.

Hannah (the mama) entered the shelter system as a very pregnant stray and quickly gave birth to 11 puppies. Lucky for Hannah and her puppies a foster stepped up and we were able to rescue them and place them all in a loving foster home to nurse and grow up safely. Hannah’s Puppy River is now four months old and about 30 pounds so he’ll likely be a big boy when fully grown. He is happy, healthy, well socialized and loves everyone, people, kids and dogs alike. In his spare time he enjoys cuddling, playing with toys and being a silly goofy puppy. He is house trained, crate trained, sleeps through the night, and is working on his leash training and basic puppy skills. Like all puppies, Hannah’s Puppy River will need an active family that is committed to continuing his puppy training, daily exercise, socialization, mental stimulation and exposing him to lots of adventures throughout his life. The following Sunday when the shelter was closed Hannah gave birth alone to her 11 puppies (7 males, 5 females). Despite the environment Hannah was the best mama and kind to all staff helping her and her puppies. Lucky for Hannah and her puppies a foster stepped up and we were able to rescue them and place them all in a loving foster home to nurse and grow up safely. Now it is Hannah’s turn to find a forever home. Hannah is a sweet Doberman lab mix thought to be about two years old who has basic house manners and gets along fine with people and dogs (cats are unknown).
